    Made me laugh when you said you're not a very smart man. You know more about this saw than any of us watching you! A good friend of mine always told me : "You only have to be smarter than what you're working on." I bought a basic model Hitachi miter saw. Very happy with it. Good quality. Works for me.

    Its a VERY good Table Saw. I just got it for $250. I replaced my 2 year old Ridgid floor Table Saw (not portable), and I put this Hercules at the end of my workbench. I sold my Ridgid. I saved a TON of garage space, and Hercules Table Saw cuts just as good as the Ridgid, its actually smoother.
    On top of that, Im now able to cut BIG sheets cause my Hercules Table Saw is part of the workbench, so I use the flat top of the bench as an extension so to speak. I recommend this Table Saw to those that use it for home projects or some side work.

      @@BradsWorkbench Depends, but a lot safer, easier and arguably more important, faster to get cross cuts on smaller (6", yeah some do 8") lumber. Need 100 12" 2x4's? Set stop block and have your hundred in less than an hour, Table saw at least an hour in not more. It also depends on the set up of the work area. Most use a miter stand that has a lot of that set up all ready to go. where your table saw outfeed table etc. would be a lot harder to move around and takes up a lot more space.

    • @BradsWorkbench

      @@Nowayjose-z2r They are more portable. But I still think making a good cross cut sled will take care of 95% of tasks most people will be doing at home. Once I got a table saw, I didnt touch my miter saw for over 2 years.

      Ronald De Guzman I bought many things from HF back in the day when I was young (around 2005) and most things didn’t last one use. I only have an angle grinder that has held up but only issued it a few times. I have always had a love hate with HF and it’s been well over 10 years since I have purchased anything from them. Having said that, the Hercules line has me very interested and I’m going to buy this saw so I don’t have to keep cutting lumber at my dads. I’m pretty excited to pickup the saw this week. Glad to hear you like it.

    yeah just bought one... it seems fairly good for a 250 dollar saw, mine took a ton of adjustment to get the table and fence square. plus the table top is not flat. the miter saw defiantly is not worth 350 dollars.

    Picked up the Hercules miter saw with coupon for $299 wanted a saw with the led shadow line and it was the cheapest at saw that had it. The saw also comes with a really good blade. The warranty on the saw is now 1 year and the saw is made in Taiwan vs China. I cross shopped it with the dewalt dws779 on sale for $350. The xps shadow line add on is an additional $90 and a good blade is $40 extra. The DeWalt is made in China from what I've read. The DeWalt also only has a 1 year warranty

    • @RedemptionGarage
      @RedemptionGarage  4 года назад

      Dewalt comes with a 3 year warranty and probably is made in China but the same Dewalt saw is cheaper than the Hercules miter saw right now. I think the Hercules looks nice but for 350 i have to pass i would buy it for 250 and chance the warranty. But that is awesome that they have at least extended the warranty to 1 year now. I think if they want to compete seriously with Milwaukee and dewalt then they have to beat their price and at least match their warranty. Lowes actually has some great deals on miter saws right now they have a metabo i am thinking about it has everything and is marked down from 5 to 299 for a few more days... hopefully i can get it lol

    Miter saw, go Metabo 10". The only issues you'll ever have is if you need to make a wider cut, as it doesn't slide. But you have a table saw, the only other issue is it's not dual bevel. The chances you'll ever, ever need it, are 1%. But that one time, man would it make life easier. But I use a Metabo I got from lowes for around $135. No reason to get a 12" blade, they cost more and you rarely make cuts deeper than 5 or 6 inches. Power, it's great. Dust collection. It sucks. It's not accurate out of the box but it's maybe a degree off if anything. Sometimes the laser would be nice, but just like the cut up, it's fine.

  • @jamessmith5535
    @jamessmith5535 4 года назад

    What size Miter Saw and what you want it to do., If I was going to do multiple projects I would definitely look in to the Evolution saw Definitely get a sliding double bevel I bought the single bevel 7/quarter a Royobi a decent saw but not knowing anthing about what I was buying I should have researched it more than I did .,that being said the saw has done every thing I needed it to do ,but it's nice to have the extra ability.

    Brain how do you stop the blade from burning?

    • @RedemptionGarage
      @RedemptionGarage  4 года назад

      Make sure the blade is installed correctly the teeth should be pointed towards you looking at the saw from where the on off switch is. If it is in right and youre pushing the material through correctly and it is still doing it change your blade.

    • @baletashakur
      @baletashakur 4 года назад

      1. You might be feeding the material too slow
      2. The blade has too many teeth and the material is too hard or thick
      3. The blade needs to be cleaned
      4. The blade needs to be sharpened
      5. The fence might not be parallel to the blade

    Yeah man, some HF tools are just as much as main brand tools. Why? You go to harbor freight for cheap tools, not comparably priced tools lmao. The Icon 8 peice screwdriver set for 50 bucks is a total rip. I mean yeah you still got the lifetime warrenty and yeah you can warrenty then at the store and if you you go a shit tonn of other harbor freight tools, I guess the appeal is there... but a few months back a bought a 24 price Sonic screwdriver set for 100 dollars. I get 2/3 more for double the price and they're better tools with a lifetime warrenty as well. Not all deals at HG are good ones. Be smart and compare prices always. Dont take their word for it.
