@@ThePainkiller3666 Yes that is true. I was disappointed today. I wanted that saw. I should have read the fine print on the coupon. I do a lot of business with Harbor Freight or at least I used to before the present state of country. I have recommended Harbor Freight to numerous people. I realize not all people have the best customer service skills. All is well now I have another candidate for my saw.
This is a magnificent miter saw, no doubt about it. This is my first sliding compound miter saw, and none of the other videos I looked at showed how to adjust the compound feature. Thank you for the comprehensive review. I just wish I had been one of those people that got the saw for $300 or $330. I paid $390 for mine about a week ago. Still, considering all the features, I think it's more than worth it. If only it weighed 5 to 10 pounds less. :)
I purchased the Hercules 12 inch bevel sliding compound miter saw today. As I was unboxing there was a package with two screws and two R pins. Where do the R pins go? Those screws were for the handles.
I waited to reply until I could go over the saw, I have no R clips on my saw, so they must have been added since I bought it, the parts list and exploded view diagram do not show any of these clips either, not sure what is up with those - thanks for subscribing!
I had a though those clips might have been supplied as part of an attachment method for a stand, but if so, 2 does not sound right, more likely to be 4...... so still no answer
The first Gen saw didn't come with the black supports or the safety trigger, it took me a while to get used to the new trigger. Also the rubber pads on the bottom are new, I had to make spacers for it to fit my miter saw stand properly.
So on your duel bevel if by some chance it's off how do u adjust your detent to where it's a true 45. I own this saw and haven't figured that one out it's off just a smidge everything else is spot on and I absolutely love the saw
I show all the steps to adjust a miter saw on my video of the admiral saw, which is the same setup as this saw - ruclips.net/video/fbpQrW8WkFc/видео.html - let me know if that video covers what you need, if not, I will make another video - thanks for subscribing!
Question? I just purchased this saw and so far so good. The only issue is when I try to push back to cut a straight line, the line goes crooked. How do I adjust so the line will be straight from front to back on longer pieces of wood? Thanks for the for the great reviews as well.
I check the saw for square-ness - but mine was square and cuts straight, but I did a setup and alignment video for the Admiral miter saw that has the process you need to follow - follow the process in the video and see if that will fix the problem - if not message me, there are more options to try - the video - ruclips.net/video/fbpQrW8WkFc/видео.html Thanks for Subscribing!

I actually caught mine on sale and got the 20% off, then went back and got the stand same deal on sale and 20% off, so I’m all in for saw and stand less than just a desalt saw
I am trying to decide if I should buy it. I just need a to cut straight cuts but I like the results I get with chop saws. Trying to find a miter saw with a LED line for cutting . Tough to find at a reasonable price. I have sworn to avoid Ryobi saws as there are too many problems. This saw looks like the one I should get despite it being more saw then I would ever need.
I am really happy with this saw, the admiral model uses LED line - ruclips.net/video/fbpQrW8WkFc/видео.html - I recommend you watch it at least to get the correct setup procedure in case the hercules is out of square (mine was not) Thanks for Subscribing!
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews It looks good I said to myself I would spend the money. In fact I just drove to my Local Harbor over and Unfortunately I was counting on the 20% coupon to kick in for a discounted price. I found out at checkout that the coupons don't work for Hercules equipment. This was written on the coupon but I did not notice. When the casher told me the coupon would not work I was surprised so I asked him my coupon won't with this saw? Instead of just saying that's right he answered " that's what I just said, do you want it?" What a jerk he was. I just said I have to think about it and left the store. If I do go back and buy it it will never be at that Harbor Freight location. I will now go back to shopping around before I make my decision.
@@cubehire3653 until recently, we had two harbor freight's (20 miles north, 20 miles south) - I drive in front of the 20 miles south one every day, but absolutely refuse to shop there because the bad attitude starts with the manager and down thru the ranks - so I drive 40 miles out of my way to go to harbor freight - 2 weeks ago, one opened up 2 miles from my house - and it seems ok - crappy stores mostly cost the store money, but not harbor freight.......
@@snapwholeharborfreightreviews I have had good luck at my local Harbor Freight. I was surprised to get such a rude response from that cashier today. Maybe he was just having a bad day. When I drove away I was sorry I went there and that's never happened before. I used to go there every weekend. 2 miles from your house that's good.
I put an aftermarket laser on my old chop saw (bolted onto the blade arbor) and it workes great, very accurate. I am wondering how this light/shadow line will work outdoors on a job site.
you should not expect any miter saw to cut square out of the box, even if they are square, eventually they will need realigned - I check my for square at the beginning to each project - so better to know the process right at the start - watch my video on how to align a miter saw - ruclips.net/video/fbpQrW8WkFc/видео.html - it only take a few minutes and well worth the effort
Thanks for the Positive comment - you can expect an average of 2 videos per week, I have more items to review than I currently have time to do! Thanks for Subscribing!
Regrettable, I bought the Admiral. Spent $170 for it. I need 46 and 44 degree Bevel cuts. It can only do the 44. For the 46, I have to stand board up against fence and cut with the Miter at 46 to mimic a 46 degree bevel cut. I wish I bought the Hercules. oh well.
I had the admiral and sold it and bought the hercules - there was nothing wrong with the admiral, but I really wanted the hercules - there are three manuals for the admiral (different manufactures) and none give max angle on the bevel, and the hercules does not either,(strange for both saws) although both have a scale 0-45, so the best you can do is deliberately misadjust to 1 degree off, which might be difficult to get accurate and there might not be enough range of motion to get 46, I'd have to try it - but the board stand up method is not the best way to cut a board, but if its the only way...... I'm not sure you'll have any more success with the hercules, but it can be frustrating - thanks for subscribing!
I have one, I've had it since it came out and I love it. I don't know why I'm still watching reviews.
I've had this saw for 6 months and its just as accurate now as when I made this video, I really like this saw
I bet you watch the review to learn how to use it. That's what I do with all kinds of tools.

There are two different versions of this Hercules saw. There's a $300 version and a $400 version
