I'm thinking of getting the Ridgid miter stand as well, so I can swap between the miter saw and my 12-1/2" planer by being able to buy additional mounting brackets for other tools....I'm not sure if Harbor Freight offers additional mounting brackets, but the Ridgid one does.
I have the same saw. I picked mine up last year for $200...I think it was on sale for $300, and I had an additional coupon that for some reason worked even on the sale price so it knocked another $100 off...wasn't gonna complain at that point HAHA!! Even for $300-400 that its usually sold for its still a deal. About $100 cheaper than the yellow saw, and does the same thing. I have the Hercules blade on mine still, it works great, and when I need to replace it I'll probably get another Hercules blade, they seem pretty comparable to the Diablo blades. It seems to me like the Hercules saw has more torque than my old Chicago Electric version by quite a bit, huge step up in quality with the Hercules...wouldn't waste money on the Admiral either, looks pretty much the same as the Chicago Electric. I see that they now have a Hercules 20V 10" Dual-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw out now too, uses 2 of the 20V batteries....something worth checking out if you need a cordless miter saw. $330 for it, not a bad price at all...but that's just the tool, you'll have to buy the batteries and charger separately....but its kind of one of those things where if you already got batteries and a charger, the tool is a no brainer...
Some say those Hercules blades are better then Freud! That 20-volt cordless Hercules miter saw is getting some great reviews! I have bauer 7 1/4 cordless miter saw, but it does not have a lot of power and it stops trying to get through 2-inch lumber. At some point will get the Hercules though!
mounted mine on the ridgid rolling miter stand. can be stored in the upright position . very mobile.
Nice!

This is my favorite and most used tool in my shop! 💪👍
