You did a real nice job on this video. Honestly, I don't know why more people aren't talking about these tools. I have the sliding mitre saw and it's great. It was as square as this one right out of the box. As far as I'm concerned, Harbor Freight gets a bad rap. I've only been going there in the last year or so, so I can't say anything about what they were before. But they make some nice stuff at really affordable prices. A lot of the people that rag on them probably haven't been there in a while. Is there cheap stuff? Sure, what tool retailer doesn't have some cheap stuff? Made in China? So are all the others, if not the whole thing, the parts are. This saw and a lot of the other Hercules stuff are solid tools. I keep hearing about them not being professional level. I think that depends what you're using them for, but who cares? I'm not a professional. I do a lot of home repairs and remodels, and weekend woodworking. I want solid tools that I don't have to take out a loan for. As far as this saw, I'd put it up against a lot of what's out there, and it hold up fine. Even against several that cost a lot more. Nice job, hope you do more.

Regardless of what anyone says, it is a damn good buy for a beginner DIY woodworker. People forget that there is no precision engineering in woodwork. There are tolerances for error.
A good woodworker, with patience and skill, learns to hide imperfection easily without losing the results of the finish product.
PS: most brand.name.tools are overated and high priced because of the name. Cheaper tools today do the same and are even better in their class.

As a new owner of this saw (my first table saw), thanks for producing a thorough run-down. Helped me get familiar with it quickly. Now there is an issue... or maybe not. Did you get a very noticeable burning smell when first running it? A lingering burning odor, almost like rubber. It could be your power source. Check the breaker you're running it on and make sure you're feeding it enough juice. Also check your extension cord for the same thing. The electric motor needs the right amount of power to work properly. I burned up a brand new Ryobi table saw running it on the same breaker I had other appliances running on. I just bought this saw today and am having a dedicated beaker installed for it this weekend. I'm two table saws in and already tired of buying them lol. Good luck to ya.
