Incredible work! I had finished up my own additions, mostly paint months ago. I was going through parts and pulled out what remained of my NECA jungle hunter and it finally became time to swap the NECA arms onto the figure. It was a HUGE pain in the ass, I wound up snapping one of the thigh pegs clean off and had to use the tiny screw trick to fix it. Left the net sleeve off the left arm since it always felt like it was hindering movement and instead opted to just go with the sculpted net that was on the arm already. So much more movement and fun to be had, all due to this video and your effort you shared. Thank you!!
Looks great. The only thing I would add is mandible repositioning and maybe some brow repostioning with sculpting too look 100 percent screen accurate. Like right after he unmask. Great work bro!

Extremely impressive! The unmasked portrait is so full of personality and almost looks like a movie prop. I wasn't too convinced about these Mezco releases but the review of the Big Chap and the potential for customizing is turning me around. Just one question. You mentioned how you added som additional touches to the legs and torso. Is it very difficult to disassemble the entire thing without damaging the netting?

What are the colors you used on pred ? I have the paint winsor and newton same as you.need to know which ones to mix to get the same results ive seen other repaints of him and yours is the best fella..wish you had a video how you painted it :(

But the fact that you had to do this to make this figure that’s already over $100 in cost to actually look like the proper representation of the Predator is poor form on Mezco’s behalf. The price wouldn’t be a question if it looked similar to this from the get-go. It’s why I’m still sitting on the fence about the Mezco one or the Neca. But you did awesome work on this!
I think you downplay the amount of knowledge, skill and patience required for this level of modding - which most of us lack - and the stock figure is pretty far off the mark. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd known it was going to need this much work. It shipped before any in-hand pics were available - which almost never happens but it did here. I would have cancelled mine based on the stock figure. Top marks for what you've done. You've got it looking fantastic.
I certainly ideally would like the quality Mezco is offering here but NECA's toy is more accurate overall. Heck Dean even had to take the mask from it - the mask which shouldn't have been able to fit.

The repainted heads are absolutely incredible, its like a real life 1/12 version of the Predator, amazing!!

As for paints, I have currently acquired "citadel" Agrax earthshade, and Nuln Oil, would these do fine for the helmet? I think they are both washes

Did you just paint through/around the netting for the body? Or remove it and then glue it back in?
I just worked around it. Dark paint and dark netting so it didn't matter if some paint got on the netting. Just looks like mud 😋👍

Will I need to apply a top coat of some kind like a clear coat or anything of the sort to the helmet, face, body etc?
