- Beyond being adorable, this critically endangered Mexican gray wolf family represents the Wolf Conservation Center's participation in the active effort to save a species from extinction.
The WCC, a 501c3 non-profit organization in South Salem, NY, is one of a network of facilities participating in the Mexican Wolf Species Survival Plan - a bi-national initiative whose primary purpose is to support the reestablishment of Mexican gray wolves in the wild through captive breeding, public education, and research.

We had a wolf/collie mix (Nashoba) and when we brought him to the vet people often thought he was a real wolf.
The expressions on their face were classic! We miss our Shobi dearly; one of the most loving and respectful fur-babies we could've ever been blessed to have part of our family.
