Thanks for a great tutorial. I am a 11-year old from India, and watching you and Luke play together was one reason why I started board-gaming with my dad (and bought Kemet!). Will he be back for a playthrough anytime? :) Thank you for all the great videos.
Hey Aditya, it's hard to say for sure. he's older now and quite busy with school. We both play games together still, but it might be hard to play a full game on the channel. I do have one game I'm hoping that he and I can play on our live show soon. So glad you enjoyed Kemet :)
While your reviews are always spot on, this one was spectacularly great! A wonderfully creative introduction followed by an intuitive rules explanation. Thank you.
What a clever game!!!! Really cool mechanics!!!! I had my doubts during the set up, but as you got into it, wow, it really opened up!! Thanks again Rodney!
Another great tutorial video, I played this for the first time today with my Mum whose 79, she watched it too last night before my visit today. It was our first face to face game since February 2020 😃
Thanks for putting this one together. After watching this, I belatedly realized I was making things way more difficult by arbitrarily assigning one set of Machines to each side (Shipping/Receiving). Also, somehow was porting over the 4 Gods rule about 1 tile per hand… Should be a much smoother play through tonight. Thanks again!
Me - Sometimes it's really difficult to convey the essence of a game, and as a rules tutor, sometimes I look at the booklet in my hands and think "How am I going to explain *THIS*!" Rodney - 0:19
Great explanation!! I do have a query though... it seems odd that a star is a trigger for end game, but whoever has the most starts wins. It seems highly unlikely that both players have a star each, let alone more than one star to count, given they would have to be earned in the same round. What am I missing?
Thank a lot for your videos, they are so well explained ! I have a question about the truck phase. If I acquire 2 trucks, do I load the 1st one before pushing it with the 2nd one, or do I have to load both of the trucks together ?
Loading and unloading happens at the beginning of the Trucking Phase and after each Truck card that is played. If you're playing 2 cards, you still play each card one at a time. Hope that helps!
I have a question regarding endgame triggers/scoring; If reaching a star is one of the 4 ways to end the game, how is it possible for players to have more than 1 star or a tied number of stars, meaning it then goes to points as a deciding factor? Is it only a certain star that ends the game rather than others? (Maybe I've missed something) ☺
It doesn’t sound like you’ve missed something. I don’t think it’s possible to have more than 1 star (memory is fuzzy, and I don’t have the game to check for you), but players could be tied with no stars. Or only one player may have a star.
@@WatchItPlayed thank you again 🙂 I bought the game after watching your video, it looks like there's a lot to think about and manage while playing. I can't wait to try it out! ☺️
I think Rodney mentioned 2 uses for them. As shown at 18:54, you can spend one trucking token during the Trucking Phase, in order to draw a truck card. You also gain an additional 2 AP for playing Truck cards, and must use at least 1 AP this turn. (This is in addition to your regular action, so you could for example also discard another truck card to draw tiles, or you could spend up to 4 AP playing trucks.) The other use is as a free action, you can discard two trucking tokens to gain a splitter tile. Also, leftover tokens are worth 1 point at the end of the game.
Hey, thanks for the interest. I tend to avoid giving personalized recommendations. What I like, someone else might not - but hopefully you see a few games on here that might be what you are looking for!
@@CinemAdsvideo I'd prefer to avoid offering recommendations. Most games has some amount of luck, and I don't like to try to guess at what balance of skill/luck another person is looking for.

Nice to see you wore your active connections shirt.
Nice catch :)
You are a great popularizer of game. Every time I got a question, you answer it 2 sec after.
Glad you've found these clear - thanks!
This looks inventive and fun. On my list of possibles. A tricky one to explain, so nice job!
Thank you kindly - glad you enjoyed!

Hey Ed, I don't think you're missing too much. If just one person has a start, they win. But if both do, then there are tie breakers you run through.
Thank a lot for your videos, they are so well explained !

The game looks fun but I’m getting tired of the “person buys a mystery factory at the same time their friend does” theme.
Ha!
Yeah, really an overdone trope. Almost as much as minis and engine building games. No original thinking....
Also, how do I personally contact Rodney and tell him that he's my personal hero? Asking for a friend.
You just did!
Good vidéo. Rules have benn expalined very clearly!!
Very glad you found it useful!

It's obvious what they're making in those plants: widgets, and some gizmos, with the occasional doohickey.

Perhaps you can let me know which aspect to them that you were unsure about?

The red goods are clearly batteries. As for blue, they're kind of bottle-shaped...maybe some kind of potion?
