when Johnny Cash did "Hurt" he makes you feel his pain. you can hear it in his voice, this cover is one of the most powerful songs that change my view of music in a positive way.. may God rest his soul
Shystical it's so much better than the 9 inch nails version
I love both versions. Cash truly made the song his own. It's one of the rare times the cover being as good or better than the original applies.
I enjoy both, but the raw passion in the NIN version just gets me. only my opinion though
Agreed plus Trent wrote the song for a friend, cash applied the song to himself not saying both aren’t powerful in their own way but in my opinion NIN has more respect for the song than I do for cash’s version.
Cash also did this song in remembrance of his wife.
What's really impressive is how you found every shittiest version of every video with the shittiest quality sound for every one of these performances.
Haha exactly what I was thinking
©️
LOL I was thinking the same thing.
©️
Cary Rumley hahahhahaahaha
Hurt by 9 Inch Nails feels like someone going through some hard stuff at a young age and trying to figure everything out, while Cash’s version feels like a man at the end of his life who is empty trying to figure out if he’s still living. That’s how I feel about them at least.
The Nine Inch Nails version sounds like there's still hope. Cash's version sounds like there's none left. I agree with you entirely.
NIN version is about Trent Reznor being a heroin addict, so yeah, you'r right
When Trent heard Johnny’s version he said the song was no longer his anymore, and for an egomaniac like Reznor to say that is HUGE.
Kurt Cobain’s singing in where did you sleep last night is haunting. Gives me chills down my spine. He has got this screaming singing voice and he is able to portray so much pain in it. Really great.
Nah Cobain sucks ass
joel quinn your opinion isn’t right
@@pogdaddy9408 he couldn't play the guitar to save his life and his voice was shit as well
joel quinn stop trying to be edgy
@@pogdaddy9408 I only tell the truth
I refuse to rank one version of "Hurt" over the other; in fact, I might be better off thinking of them as two separate songs, just because of how I see the context.
What makes both versions so lovely is the fact that they were both done by two completely different men facing two completely different times in their lives, and yet they both made it their own and found a way to make it fit.
Trent Reznor was in his late twenties, dealing with mental illness and the question of carrying on with no set result in sight, that always-frightening question of 'what now?'
Johnny Cash was at the end of his life, looking back on all the things he had done and experienced in his many years; even being as young as I am, I know what a sense of regret would probably come with that, asking yourself, 'what if...'
Somehow, that song fits both of these feelings perfectly. I guess that makes it a wonderful look into the human condition of both the young and old, that feeling of regret and shame and confusion.
Both did the best that they could possibly do with it, and I can't hold one at any higher of a regard than the other.
melancholy - my thoughts exactly dude
Well said
Trent even said it was Mr Cash's song after he recorded it
Dude......yes
I do not like Cash's version at all. Mostly due to him censoring it. He removed the "Crown of shit" line.
"Here's 6 songs that sound nothing like the original version, and 4 that sound nearly identical".
My point exactly. Like they found a few, got bored and just added the next four covers that came up in Google
Sean Lauper Yep That should be the title
None that sound awesome? Johnny Cash's hurt? Better than the original.
Like why wouldn’t they use crowbars version of no quarter it definately sounds different lol
@@jacobstatzer6805 Tools version is fucking identical until the ending lmao. Fucking idiots
Trent cried when he heard the cover. RIP Johnny Cash Man in Black.
I think due to how relevant the song is to Cash's life Cash probably cried when he heard the original as well
In concerts after it was released, Reznor introduced it as a Johnny Cash song.
Trent cries when a leaf falls off a tree...
@@turkishdelight600 Comment of the year
He said in an interview that it was Johnny's song, and that he (Trent) was just holding it for him.
Johnny cash and kurt cobain just took those songs to a higher level. R. I. P.
Kurt Cobain had a voice like no other Ive ever heard.
At the time Johnny's cover of Hurt was recorded he was in the last months of his life and reflecting on all his mistakes, regrets, and achievements.
So it ended up turned into a powerful and stripped down ballad performed by an old man that was laying his sins bare and pleading for forgiveness
i disagree, i feel like the cover of Hurt is great but that its almost incomparable to the original. they have such different meanings.
I disagree with hurt although the cover by Johnny cash is good it doesn't much the original
Ghost doing If You Have Ghosts seems appropriate
Michael Earley true
It's on the list? So?
they suck now... popularity ruins preformances
@@nunyanunya4147 Literally shut up.
"Popularity ruins performances" what a crock of shit, A Pale Tour Named Death is a grand, ostentatious and fun exploration into debauchery.
Different from Before doesnt mean Bad, and Not Popular doesnt mean good.
@@Eric-sy1xu So very true.
Gotta say Kurts vocals for where did you sleep last night were almost haunting. That show had a lot of emotion behind it for sure anyway
I agree :(
He loved Leadbelly.
That fucker turned everything he touched to shit....
He was a fucking talentless bitch
Lol ok.. Youre jeoulsy is showing bud..
sadasdas asdasdas The gunshot heard around the world, whereas your death will go by like a tree falling in an empty forest - nobody will notice; nobody will care. Kurt achieved more in 27 years than you will during your lifetime.
John Lennon - Imagine = hope
Perfect Circle - Imagine = Desperation
Tomoni Garushia zStill a song about communism
That’s what I love about A Perfect Circle’s version. It’s like Lennon’s is the idealistic version that praises communism while APC’s version sounds very dystopian like the actuality of communism.
Johnny Guillotine getting money/resources back that were stolen from me is just called justice :)
@Johnny Guillotine You need a lesson in economics, political theory and finance, for a start. Come back when you actually know what communism is, not just the wikipedia short hand romanticized version.
everyone watching a video about music: that is beautiful

I think black sabbath might be THE most influential bands ever. You can't even count all the covers. There's even a whole subgenre of music dedicated to sounding like them.
*cough* the Beatles *cough*
@@mattsian Not even close. People love to say stuff like "the beatles did things no one else did!!!" but it's really not true. The Beatles made pop music for their time that sometimes verged on pop rock. They didn't really invent anything new. Their overall influence was greatly exaggerated. Black Sabbath, on the other hand, is single-handedly responsible for the creation of literally all of metal and therefore every metal band ever made. Just a tiny difference there.
@@eyezik5743 without the Beatles there is no metal, the reason Ozzy formed a band is because he was inspired by John Lennon, even Geezer Butler were inspired by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
@@mattsian BS. They didn't do anything special, if the Beatles didn't exist they would've drawn inspiration from somewhere else. The Beatles didn't do anything that no one else did, there would've been someone similar if they didn't exist.

WTF Pantera's Planet Caravan sounds exactly like Sabbath's original
Plus they showed a dogshit live version where Phil is clearly hammered.
@@adambrazee3858 aww cmon , don't act like you didn't know that they were always hammered on tours
Nirvanas too
I was about to mention that, but you beat me to it.
yeaah
The Ghost one was beautiful, and I love NIN but Johnny Cash owned “Hurt” and made it almost more dark than Reznor did...
Karl Simmering the ghost one truly was amazing.
RIP Mr Cash 😫😭😭
Agreed
Reznor actually loved Cash's cover so much he said he now thinks of it more as Cash's song than his own.
The context of JC’s _Hurt_ is so much more gripping than Reznor’s. While Reznor wrote it about his heroin addiction, not everyone can relate to it. Meanwhile, Cash’s _Hurt_ feels like he’s discussing the end of his life and his regrets. As far as I’m concerned, Reznor covered JC.
Black Sabbath shows up three times on the list Guess who's the OG of metal!
Led Zeppelin.
I'm surprised All along the Watchtower isn't on here
Bob Dylan
I would like this multiple times for great truth.....
Loudwire has a long history of blasphemous omissions from their lists.
Watchtower is pretty much the ultimate cover.
Just like Paul Anka wrote "My Way", but you can't even think of it as other than a Sinatra song.
I think because it's on their "10 Covers Better Than The Original" list
This was written before that video fam
All of Type O Negatives covers should of made this list.
Every Type O Negative cover
Every Cradle Of Filth cover
Avatar - Something In The Way
Children Of Bodom - Aces High
Six Feet Under - TNT
Volbeat - I Only Wanna Be With You
Vader - Fight Fire With Fire
Dimmu Borgir - Burn in Hell
Cradle of Filth’s Hallowed be Thy Name cover was different than the original but it slaps
Anaal Nathrakh Powerslave and Man C&A are great and totally different
Katzenjammer's version of Land of Confusion.
i wanted to somebody finally say about avatar’s cover!
Love Cradle of Filth's Hallowed be thy name.
I know it doesn't sound too different but Killswitch Engage's version of Dio's "Holy Diver" is a shock to the system nonetheless. Honorable mention goes to Slayer's attempt at Judas Priest's "Dissident Aggressor." Sorry, but the guitar solo in this song will NEVER be covered by anyone. Period.
I heard Killswitch Engaged's version first, and I certainly like it more than Dio's
I can't say that killswitch engage's version is better but every time i hear the original i miss the screams... Plus i asked people and anyone who didn't know Dio thought that it was the same person.. Very very good cover but you can't become god..
i prefer hand of doom and born to be wild covers by slayer
KE's Holy Diver is horrible, but Slayer's DA is a significant improvement.
If we're doing Sabbath, Charles Bradley's version of Changes should be hear.
Overkill sounds exactly like them it's chilling
*here
@@MultiTaz333 what point in covering a song if you're going to sound exactly like the original? Put your own stamp on it.
@@-drakrats- they did.. but it's like an homage to the original but with a thrash twist
Not to be that guy, but here*
Johnny Cash sings Hurt your soul feels his pain he's a great singer and legendary artist in my eyes
Never got that feeling, it’s seems like he’s barely even there in the video, just some old guy told to cover this song, idk though. I am a huge fan of Johnny Cash, just not this song.
We all know that the king of covers is Leo from Frog Leap Studios
Agreed, he's like the metal cover king lol my favorite he does is Hello by Adele.
yeah
Dave's Garage lol! Yeah dude is pretty solid. His cover of Frozen though. Brings be to tears 😭
My favorite Leo covers are Lamb of God's, Blacken The Cursed Sun (the scream at 3:55 is the greatest 6 seconds on the internet), and his acoustic version of Alter Bridge's, Blackbird.
That and the colab with Eric where they did King Nothing in the style of Lamb of God. That was pretty sweet
Tools cover is so beautiful that I get chills. However, I get chills from Tool anyway so.... I may be biased but if music has a power to move you, it's important to your soul.
Massive Tool fan here, freaking love their No Quarter rendition, however absolutely love the LZ original. Tool's interpretation is a truly responsible and respectful cover that rivals it's original version brilliantly.
No Quarter is the most "Tool" sounding Led Zeppelin songs.
This entire list could just be Type O Negative covers
Their cover of seals and crofts' summer breeze is amazing.
Wait they weren’t?! I feel cheated.
Yeah, they had me at Type O👌🏽
or A Perfect Circle - Emotive album
Yes
Ghost does some amazing covers. Tobias is brilliant.
Here comes the sun is brilliant as well
Who?
I think you mean Papa Emeritus.
Or Papa Nihil.
Never heard of this Tobias asshole.
It’s a Sin is a fantastic cover. Miles above the original IMO
@@Markleadguitar While I do enjoy their version of Here Comes the Sun, it's probably my least favourite of their covers. It's a Sin, Crucified, or Missionary Man would probably be my favourites. (Yes, I like MM. Fight me. >_> )
@@Branflakes1522 I wouldn't say that, but it is great. The original and Ghost's are two different entities, entirely, both great in their own ways.
Johnny Cash's cover is one of my favourite covers of all time.
A few months before his death and he chooses a song completely out of his genre, and makes it his own.
You know you made a good cover when no one talks about the original version.
He blew NIN into the weeds with that version! Just frigging awesome! LITERALLY awesome!
Tyler Dokis It would even go better with the original music video for NIN’s version.
sevendust does the best cover I have heard of this songon their acoustic album....better than cash
Tyler Dokis My favourite Johnny Cash cover is If you could read my mind. It's hauntingly beautiful. Just by slowing it down.
Trent reznor said "well it's not our song anymore, johnny cash out did us"
I'm not gonna lie, the Nirvana cover of Where Did You Sleep Last Night is my personal favorite. Kurt puts a lot of emotion into his voice during the performance and it makes it that much better for me.
Peter's voice is just too unique to not be loved. God rest his soul . ❤
I find your lack of Judas priest on here disturbing
DownFall the green manalishi with the two pronged crown.
diamonds and rust
Race with the devil
DownFall NetWork Yeah slayers cover of dissendent agressor and better by you better than me.
Sound of Silence by Disturbed
That's all I'm saying
I will always prefer the marilyn manson version
same
100% agree!
Me too, but it's clearly the same song as the original. Not a good fit for this list. Same with Planet Caravan
I'm not a Manson fan but I totally agree
I generally don't like Manson but this song is fuckin great!!
"If you have ghosts" is ten times better with Ghost and Tobias'voice.
W
Sounds a little bit radio rock to me but it’s good
Ghost should be covered some kiss or king diamond/mercyfull fate songs
nah ghost sucks ass
Oof, love their version, but that whole Roky's album is soo good, including the original song.
In addition to this, I think Ghost's cover of "Here comes the sun" is beautifully done.
I agree
Their version of Here comes the sun is 908557883454% more satanic that any other song of the band
"it's a sin" is also great
Wait that’s a thing? Fuck imma go watch it
@@gabrielrodriguesmuller It's my summer anthem as an old-school goth. :)
wtf do you mean Pantera's cover sounds nothing like Planet Caravan? It's a direct cover! Wow, the voice sounds different. Well, of course it does. It's a different singer and he's not using the same vocal effects. Tbh Nirvana's Where Did You Sleep Last Night isn't too far from the original either.
Yeah.. these lists are usually a desperate attempt to get clicks..
same with antisocial and sweetdreams. yah the voice is diff but... either way its nice listening to bits of these songs
Will not listen to any Black Sabbath song covered by any one.
I agree
Brandon Wood When they had Dio replace Ozzy, they were basically doing covers? Right!? I can understand any heavy metal band covering a Black Sabbath song as homage to the gods of heavy-metal… If Taylor Swift were to cover supernaut, that’s a different story.
the whole Unplugged by Nirvana is a brilliant live cover album
Can honestly say that is my favorite album of all time
Incesticide up there for me next to unplugged.
Its in my top 5 best of all time!
Yeah, half of their entire set is meat puppets songs!
basically all of the unplugged sessions were top notch.
Type O covered Paranoid, Summer Breeze, Cinnamon Girl, Highway Star and did two covers of Black Sabbath. Greatest band ever 🖤💚🖤💚🕷️🕸️
The Beatles medley too
Can we just stop and appreciate how Sweet Dreams is perfect in both Eurythmics' and Marilyn Manson's version

Oh, and I’d recommend Rob Zombie versus KC and the Sunshine band ‘I’m your boogie man’
When Johnny Cash did this song. Trent Reznor even said that it was his song. Sad day that he passed right after.
Trent Reznor actually cried listening to Johnny Cash's version of Hurt.
Feel like I'm the only person who loves both versions of Hurt.

Boy, Children Of Bodom covered Britney Spears. How could you miss that one?
Ignacio Maldonado I know right
A Static Lullaby's version of Toxic will always be my preferred of the two.
Ignacio Maldonado The only reason why I clicked on this video was to see if that made it onto the list.

Tobias Forge from Ghost has such an amazing voice!
I couldn't disagree more
J-dog Hollywood undead same
You can't be serious... His voice is so bland, and uninspired. Ghost is one of the most overrated bands of all time. Not to mention, people need to stop calling them a metal band. They're about as metal as Miley Cyrus.

It's even better than the original xD
and their version of Creedance 'looking out..' is amazing :-)
I hate the fact that many people think NIN covered Johnny Cash
Maynard 0 I didn't even know Johnny cash was still alive when NIN started, but I don't know much about either of them.
I feel your pain. I had to tell an ex coworker that NIN wrote it in the 90’s, and Johnny Cash was the one who covered it. A lot of people think NIN did the cover, because they’re a younger band than Cash, and typically younger bands cover old bands.
Or that disturbed wrote sound of silence. I've even had to correct people that ffdp didn't write bad company
Bobby Quade I believe that. The reason more people believe that NIN covered Hurt than people who believe Disturbed wrote Sound Of Silence is because NIN is a younger band than Johnny Cash. I guess a lot of younger people haven’t heard the original Simon and Garfunkel tune.
I had this talk with people commenting on Super Freak by Rick James. One guy made a comment like, “I can’t believe people thought U Can’t Touch This by MC Hammer came out before Super Freak.” I told him it’s because, most likely, nobody knew who Rick James was, and have never heard the song until after they were exposed to Mc Hammer first. So, automatically, those people assumed he wrote it first until someone said, “MC Hammer sampled Super Freak.”
I was blown away by the fact that they didnt.
Glad Type O Negative is on here - pretty much every cover they've done is amazing. Same goes for Ministry but not on this list; what they did with Lay Lady Lay is genius.
I so much miss Peter Steel
The Green man!
Yea I miss seeing them live
Amen
His voice was excellent, and they knew how to perform live too. "Christian Woman" is such a damn good song. They have many!

Idk about that one chief
Bob Dylan some times did the Hendrix version in concert. Look that up if you do not believe.
Check out the Dave Mathews Band version I know it sounds crazy just trust me
Ghost is out right the most original, unique, musical act to come around in the modern era, eventhough they have been around since 2006. Which I don't think most individuals realize. I've been a musician for years and their just mind blowing when it comes to originality.
Marilyn Manson - Tainted Love - Highway To Hell - I Put A Spell On You - You're So Vain
Korn - Another Brick In The Wall - One - Kindnap The Sandy Claws
Chris-O Thirteen I wouldn’t say that korns another brick in the wall sounds nothing like the original lol
Marisa Wolff: Cock, Dragon and Retro Lovin' Bitch! I wasn't referring to the Soft Cell version, the original version of Tainted Love was done by Gloria Jones, and Manson's version sounds nothing like it
You are the only person who brings up marilyn manson thank uuuuuuu
Type O Negative did a killer version of the song Black Sabbath. I also really like Metallica's version of Bob Seger's Turn the Page and Blue Oyster Cult's version of Astronomy.
Turn the Page is one of the best covers hands down by Metallica
I so wish turn the page was on this list
Dan Maler the Metallica one is pretty good
Yeah, Turn the Page is one of my favourite covers
black sabbath snowblind- system of a down snowblind?
...All this time and I never realized that "My Girl" by Nirvana was a cover song...
Mind blown.
It's called "Where Did You Sleep Last Night", even back when Leadbelly did it that's what it was called.
Leadbelly wasn't even the original.....the song is a couple hundred years old
A friend and I were listening to Devo and discovered that Turn Around wasn't by Nirvana. We'd never heard that track, because it was the B-Side to the "Whip It" single, and i don't really care for single releases. I especially don't care for Whip It. Singles tend to be the most generic songs on an album and often don't fit in with the other tracks. Whip It is no exception.
Even NIN thinks John Cash’s version of Hurt is better
Trent Reznor said something like "Feels like I just lost my girlfriend, because that song isn't mine anymore."
Because it is
I don't recall him ever saying it was better, just that it was his. Personally, I don't think it is, Cash is a legend, and has made many masterpieces, but his version of Hurt is no where near the original for me. Granted, Cash's is way more satisfying to play on guitar.
Reznor was moved by the video.
Lmao I thought NIN's version was the cover
And here I was expecting Tori Amos' version of Raining Blood(yes it does exist). The only reason the Anthrax version of Anti-Social doesn't sound like Trust's is the language.
Even Kerry King had trouble to keep track of RIB when he heard her version. ruclips.net/video/4PWgA3PI7VQ/видео.html
I LOVE that version.
How about:
Danzig's 13 to Johnny Cash's.
SoundGarden's Rusty Cage to Johnny Cash's.
Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus to Johnny Cash's.
U2's One to Johnny Cash's.
Tom Petty's I Wont Back Down to Johnny Cash's.
.....
All I'm saying is Johnny Cash was 'The Man in Black' for a reason. He could cover anything and make it his own.
And half of the time, it's better.
13 was actually written by Glenn for Johnny.
Shaun Dougherty speaking of The Man In Black, the Bouncing Souls did a cover of that song
Honestly, Sam Elliot’s cover of I won’t back down is my favorite.
Jacob Allen - Would that when he was playing in the Barnyard? ;)
what the hell I would have never guessed "If you Have Ghosts" was a cover. Incredible. The original version kicks ass, too!
Nirvana has covered more then one Leadbelly song as Kurt was a fan. He and a friend formed a Leadbelly tribute band called The Jury before Nirvana formed. Nirvana covered 4 of his songs, the others are They Hung Him On A Cross, Ain't It A Shame and Grey Goose.
Adam It was with Mark Lanegan from The Screaming Trees. Circa 1989. So both bands were well established, just not in the mainstream.
Stripped - Rammstein
Worst thing Rammstein have done.
Yes that's a good cover
stripped - leviathan
?Am I the only one that prefers the Johnny Cash version?
Nate Landherr me too👍
Nate Landherr Cash made it better imo
I love NIN but Cash did it so well
Nate Landherr the johnny cash version is better
When NIN played it, it was about drug addiction. For Cash's version it felt much more emotional because it became more about a man who knew he was at the end of his life.
Was a one-off live performance, but Norah Jones doing Black Hole Sun, in Detroit, at Fox Theatre, five days after Soundgarden's final show, is just down right beautiful,. Not many covers give me chills.
System of a down snowblind cover is my favorite
TheGtaChuck System Of A Down can do no wrong
Diamond Lu Dickwad nah
I like their cover of The Metro better, and that sounds nothing like the original. It should've been on here.
System Of A Down - Snowblind
Black Label's cover (not Zakk Sabbath) is different too; almost a Planet Caravan feel.
chapodepaille28 ya where the hell was that
Metro sounds far from the original, too. It sounds like what most people would classify as "pop punk". Regardless, it's great as a punk version, as the original is good as a synth-pop version.
@@mangy2fly604 That's a great cover too

Divy Jain Fair enough. I heard the original before Ghost's version but only once
I used to live in an apartment with very thin walls; next door to a very amorous homosexual couple. Ghost is still the gayest thing I've ever heard.
Is no one going to mention Disturbed's cover of The Sound of Silence? It's one of the best covers of all-time, and entirely reimagines the song.
Type O Negative was an amazing band but id say their cover of Cinnamon Girl was better than their Black Sabbath cover
Hell, that wasn't even their best Black Sabbath cover.
Summer breeze
The original Cinnamon Girl was a favorite of mine, and Type O Negative's version made it even more so.
Their cover of hit me baby one more time
Their summer breeze cover tho....
Johnny cash's version of hurt is one of the greatest songs of all time.
I understand that this channel focuses on metal and rock, but what about Cake's cover of "War Pigs?" It really is great

LOL WHAT!?!?! THIS IS A THING!!!!!????
I thought the raining blood cover was being saved for last
Tori's covers have always fucking rocked. Right back to her Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Finally someone else knows about this. Her version is completely different. The ONLY thing that proves they are the same song is the lyrics. I think Tori's version is far more dark than Slayer's. It just sounds far more sinister they way she does it.
The Ghost cover of If you have Ghosts is such a great song! I love Ghost i do!
Leo Morachiolli's covers of Hello or Africa.
*Any* of Leo's covers
@@NewfieMan98 except despacito and that beaver cover
His Africa cover is one of the best covers out there.
I’m not a big fan of Marilyn Manson but his cover of sweet dreams is awesome
I was expecting Ghoul's cover of Louis Armstrong's What A Wonderful World
The man who sold the world? David Bowie and Nirvana.
That cover sounds very similar to original
Djordje Kuzmanovic it was actually by Midge Ure (not 100℅ on the spelling)
Trevor Hindmarsh it's a Bowie song, Midge Ure covered it in the 80s long after it was written. that would be a good edition to this list though. much more different than the nirvana cover.
The Midge Ure cover is a lot closer to the original in my opinion, the Nirvana version is acoustic which makes it sound much more different.
LedAvalon I guess it's just personal opinion but the Nirvana cover is almost exactly the same, the solo plays the vocal melody that Bowie hums at the end, a different instruments doesn't make it drastically different, best version is Nirvanas electric version of the song. Love midge ure rendition on metal gear though
Also, Anthrax covered Joe Jackson's "Got the time", and their version was magical.
The Anthrax one was a cover?
Apparently, Joe Jackson didn't like the cover.
Johnny just had the ability to make a cover into something special. Hurt, Rusty Cage, Thirteen, etc. The guy was amazing
Social Distortion - Ring of Fire (Original: Johnny Cash) and Metallica - Turn the Page (Original: Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band)?
When Cash made a cover of your song, you were covering Cash.
Um.. what?
BadTrip -any song Johnny covered became his song. He was the best. The Man in Black will always live on forever in his music. He touched everybody. No matter what music genre you like you are a fan of Johnny Cash.
Brian Reynolds except for that NIN has the better version of Hurt, period.
I don’t think that’s how that works
@@basserman except they dont to me and others plus its a joke
I think Marilyn Manson's Tainted Love was a better cover than Sweets Dreams was.
It still wasn't as good as the Soft Cell version, which was also a cover. His cover of Sweet Dreams is shit too.
His best cover is down in the park
I love MM but My Ruin's version of Tainted Love is better, imo.
@@angelaburrow8114 who let you out of the kitchen?!
@@GroinFaceGroin hahahaha. Twat
I think the SNL cast covering Blue Oyster Cult in the "No Cowbell" sketch might have sounded more different than some of your match-ups, Loudwire.
what about soad's cover to black sabbath's snowblind ?? Or metro ???
David Bowie's Heroes and Helden by Apocalyptica and Till Lindemann
the ghost one was beautiful
Epic
They did a cover of the Beatles' here comes the sun
you know why they're called ghost right? because all their songs are...haunting ;D
Tanzenergise all there songs are awful
be gone heretic nobody likes you and your bad taste in music.@@billythekid8848
Where's Priest's rendition of Joan Biez' "diamonds & rust"? And how the hell could you NOT include Jimi's cover of Dylan's "watchtower"?
What about Megadeth's cover of Paranoid?
Marisa Wolff: Cock, Dragon and Retro Lovin' Bitch! It's a good cover though you fucking veggie.
Jng_skeetos that sounds similiar
Tool's no quarter is the shit and probably the best cover I've ever heard
I don't know about best EVER buy it's fucking badass!!!!
Nope. I love Tool and I love No Quarter, but it's probably the worst cover on this list. I was so pissed when I heard it for the first time.
It's one of my favorite covers. It both pays homage to the original and takes a life of its own.
Good cover but not the best
Gavin Drosehn agreed
No orgy “blue Monday”? Cmon man...
I would've thought Judas Priest's version of Johnny B Goode be on that list
I Love priests version tbh
