It's weird that I'd ever be happy to see a Star Wars movie cancelled. Once upon a time, I considered myself a superfan. I don't even know how many times I watched the original trilogy in all it's versions. I consumed all of the available media. The Thrawn trilogy, as it came out. Even earlier books like Splinter of the Mind's Eye. The Dark Horse comics starting with Dark Empire. I couldn't get enough. I am a woman I would rather watch star wars made by a guy who can tell a good story in a star wars movie. I watched star wars episode 1 and it was good it still confuses me. Star wars has been around before I was born in 2001. But I'm from the modern audience in Gen z and I love George's version of star wars and his character Luke Skywalker.

I really don’t know why everyone was so slow on the uptake? The moment I saw Kathleen Kennedy standing there with the other three ladies with the T-shirts saying the forces female, I said uh oh what does that mean? All I knew is that it was not good for Star Wars and they were about to do something that would make Star Wars irredeemable. I’m not a fortuneteller, but it wasn’t hard to see that they were making this about females and power.

It's weird that I'd ever be happy to see a Star Wars movie cancelled. Once upon a time, I considered myself a superfan. I don't even know how many times I watched the original trilogy in all it's versions. I consumed all of the available media. The Thrawn trilogy, as it came out. Even earlier books like Splinter of the Mind's Eye. The Dark Horse comics starting with Dark Empire. I couldn't get enough. And while I still watch every Star Wars movie and show that comes out, out of habit and hope, it feels more like punishment than entertainment now. Like an abusive relationship. To the point where it's a relief to hear about a movie being cancelled. They could have sold me almost anything Star Wars related. I was firmly in their pocket. That's how far it's fallen.

Star Wars needs to be under different leadership. Kennedy has turned Star Wars in the wrong direction, and it needs to be brought back under someone who understands Star Wars.

@@d-jams and he could license distribution to studios like A24 and Universal Pictures, and also license tv shows to different streaming services including Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. But he would have final say on creativity and put the right people in charge. And like you said not having to do much.
