Yo dude! Thanks for the content you are making! super helpful! Seems like you're the only one who talks about reggae/dub production on youtube. Would love to learn more techniques and particularities for the production of the genre.
I just saw this video, very good and thanks, I wanted to ask you where I can get that reverb that you use, is it an ir reverb, right? is it native to logic or where can I get it? can you tell me another reverb like this if this you use its native of logic? thanks!
Hey, I’ve been asked this a few times in the past and so I made a video showing the process and plugin I most commonly use. DUB 101 How to send TRACKS to REVERB sends in Logic Pro X ruclips.net/video/KVnfDdA--o0/видео.html Thanks for watching
@@Oddiowaverecords Ok thanks, I'll look into it, but what I was asking you was what other reverb can I use that's like that but not from Logic since I don't use that DAW. Thanks
I know you've heard this before but Automation will never come close enough to Dubbing in real time. 8th dotted delay is nice but remember them tape delays had no sync.
Hi DJ which is the better Audio pack to purchase DM Kahn one drop or the ultimate reggae drumset sample pac “artist edition ” I am just starting out. Many thanks on all the work have done❤
Hi Vince. That’s a great question. And one that requires some nuance. I would recommend both, however if you are on a limited budget I think the question is how do you produce your tracks? The URDS pack from Dominik is great because it has rhythms that are played by Dom on a virtual kit. So you can just drag and drop and quick and its ready to go. However Kahn’s pack are recorded from a real live drum kit that he masterfully tunes and records. His samples are amazing, and good to load into a sampler or drum program. I often use both products. Which ever you choose will be great!
Thanks for watching. Im not sure I understand your questions? All tracks are produced by myself and co producer and they remain as individual tracks (all) until the final bounce to disk. Vocals for this song were recorded by Lutan Fyah in Jamaica. He transferred the files to me which I then import into the project via [File~import audio] Hopefully that answers your questions? Thanks again
Nice demo! Logic’s stock plugins are shockingly good aren’t they? I bought a couple of plugins to up my dub game (Alborosie Dub Station and Outer Space both from AudioThing) but you can get pretty far just with the stock stuff.
Man, you are killing it, keep going, amazing to feel some company in this world where reggae isn't that popular. How could it beee?! hahah Jah bless !
