I bought three of these and I am going to make a change on two of them. It just takes to long for parts sometimes. I was only going to use 3650 4300kv. I been enjoying all of the videos I have watched and thanks!
I'm assuming you have three different setups or use one as a parts car? In either case you are right, parts do take a while to come in. Thank you for stopping by and Happy RCing
I did a similar swap on mine I have a 120a ESC and a 5900kv motor with a 3 s literally can only run it at 75% throttle rn need to make a wheelie bar for it at 100 it just flips straight up in the air 🤣🤣

Pinion spur is to tight, did you grease front rear diffs. I have run my 104 with stock 2s and a 5900kv and was constantly 47 to 50mph. Car doesn’t sound right.
@@dubaudiproject861 you’re welcome bro and if you put a piece of paper in between the pinion and spur while doing up your mesh it can help a lot especially to learn the feel of the play you want though small gears are definitely hard to do anyways my man👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Looks a bit lazy. With that setup you should hit 45 mph on 2s. Stupid question. Did you calibrate your new transmitter? And later did you calibrate it with the esc? Tires are not stock, are they smaller in diameter?
I own eight 144001 with 3 brushless converted and I will never buy the 10400, the all time biggest fail for wltory, shame on them. My slowest 140001 with 2838 3100KV and 30 amp ESC is faster than that snail crap bending machine. 144001 for ever !
@@TheFrenchPug Stupid because you are ignorant: Screws with china "loctite" clone need heating to melt the "loctite" like the original hard loctite. I use 9 seconds of 1350° torch with small flame touching the screw. This works for all RC but personally I use original blue soft loctite to replace even on motor gear grub screw. You are lucky your impact gun did not broke the screw, this is what happened to me when I was ignorant like you were before reading this. Then if it is piece of junk to upgrade for you, you have to realize you may be piece of junk level with RC mechanic and speaking too much instead of asking simple questions before using a 88 canon to open a beer..
@@bretzeletouffeur7401 Im so stupid and ignorant I stripped 3 screws and had to use a tap to get them out. I tried using a heat gun before on all of them. I didn't see anyone use heat except on the pinion gear on the videos. So I guess I'm retarded as well. At least I'll know next time. Thanks

Hey man, thanks for the shout out. Good stuff. Good luck with your channel.
Thank you for documenting your build!
@@dubaudiproject861 you bet man.
Good video 👍🏻
Thank you for the good vibes and stopping by!

I hear you. I trun down the throttle when just driving around. My son and I still take this out and rip around the dirt.
Sympa le passage en brushless , les roues sont géniales, c'est quel type?
wouldn't it run cooler/ more efficient with an 80amp ESC
What Tire/Rim combo are you running? My 104001 is on the way and want to swap the stock carpet tires for something better for the dirt.

Nice!!!I think you have to change battery
Thank you! Shopping around for 3S.
@@dubaudiproject861 a big improvement is a 2s lipo 100c, 3s i think your esc will burn
@@jasonjackson6471 thank you for the feedback and good point with the 100c discharge capabilities
First you need to deal with your gear mesh secondly you need 3s cause I'm well into the 60s on a 25t 5900kv on 3s
Thank you for the feedback. I need to take it apart and redo the mesh.

Yes, I greased the font diffs. I also ended up redoing the spur mesh.
You’re gear mesh sounded a little tight in the first clip that might’ve costed you some speed
Thank you for helping out. Getting the pinion to mesh properly has always been hit and miss for me

i was thinking the same because with 5900kv he should be much closer to 50

You called it, I totally missed the TX calibration. I need to accomplish that and do another run. Good looking out and great advise.
At least they got rid of those stupid .07 mod gears

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Maybe you can float one of your wtoys for a comparison video :) have a great one and thank you for stopping by!
Yeah. I bought one. Piece of junk to upgrade. Runs good for a kid out of the box. Need an impact gun to remove bottom phillips screws. Stupid!

to stop the bending attach to spare pair of turnbuckles from the steering area to the spur area.. simple fix
