Sitting in first class. Buddy predicts he will be called out to take home the rifle he put in his gun rack in the truck window. He did it on occasion to get out of school for an hour.
I grew up in a small rural southern community mostly in the 1960s that had a hunting culture. Yes, there were people who had gun racks in their trucks and a couple of guys might drive a truck to school BUT those guns weren't loaded because it was ILLEGAL to have a loaded gun in your vehicle. In fact, if you were out hunting you had to unload your gun within so many feet of your vehicle because if a game warden caught you near your vehicle with a loaded gun it was a steep fine. There weren't a whole lot of high school kids, especially from outside of the city limits, who drove to school anyway. They rode the bus so there weren't that many trucks or cars in the parking lot anyway, with or without a gun. Since the 1980s when the NRA became radicalized gun laws have become outrageously lax. Nobody was running around with pistols strapped on their hip or carrying M-16s strapped over their shoulder like a soldier on recon back in my day. It's all a bunch of wild west and military cosplay bullshit by a bunch of steroid fueled dumbasses who apparently didn't get enough titty when they were young.
Absolutely brother, we would gather around the truck after school including teachers and talk about hunting with the gun in my back window of my truck. Unloaded of course. Teacher would ask "anybody got a knife I have to open this box" and ten guys would reach in their pocket and pull a knife out to use. No shootings, stabbings or violence in schools. Kids today are a bunch of pansies, with their hurt feelings for getting bullied etc. Social media has screwed this world up. If you were bullied in school we would settle it after school and that would be the end of it. No shooting each other. Simpler times unfortunately that we will never get back. Parents would bust their kids ass when it needed it and sometimes the neighbors kids ass too if they were involved, not put you in time out or take your Xbox privilege's away for a day.

But here lately isn't it odd that they only happen in conjunction with a story that might threaten a Democrat or some other "celebrity "?
Father of 9. Family meetings consisted of my wife telling me to handle it after she done gave up on it. That is when the tears began and the children knew oh shit I pushed mama too far.
I am 54 so you do the math. When I was in school every kid carried a knife. No one cared and no one every pulled on on someone else. A walk though the parking lot and you would see a dozen high powered rifles in gun racks. One day we had show and tell in Hunter Education and Safety class. We had more fire power in that class room than most police departments. Never a school shooting and knifing. Now a first grader takes a plastic knife to school and the police are called and the kid hauled off in handcuffs.
He's got a point. When kids acted up in school back in the 1960's, they got rapped on the head, and sent to the principal for a lecture they never forgot. And when they got home, there was more misery from mom and dad. Nowadays, there's so much gender confusion, the kid can't tell who's his mom, and who's his dad!
I had immediately sent a letter to our local newspaper's "letter to the editor" after the shooting in Columbine. I said "If a responsible teacher had been ARMED it would have lowered the deaths.
Fall of 1983 in Texas they took corporal punishment out of the schools. By 1990 knives in the school. By 1999 guns in the school. Kids do not fear teachers, administrators, or parents. We as teens saw it coming.
He is mistaken. There were guns in schools when I was enrolled. Heck, half my football team packed in some form or another. Know what the violence was? Zilch. And during the revolution there were guns in schools. During the war between the states there were guns. However the moral temperature of many kids today certainly makes me hope that there are no guns.
Parents, teachers, neighbors would hit misbehaved kids. The fear of that kept kids humble. At those ages they don't understand the concept of right/ wrong acts. Explaining concepts beyond a young person is like explaining brain surgery to someone working at a fastfood joint.Pain they do understand. Pain/ pleasure incentives work till they learn what is right/wrong so that there will be no more need for that spanking. In order to have a civilized society.
Didn't need to carry guns to school. The school already had them and taught us to shoot them in trap shooting class and all we had to do was bring our own ammo. Think about it... the school GAVE us guns, and yet nobody ever got shot. Maybe because every other kid in that school knew how to shoot back. This was no small town school either. It was funny though to see that one skinny kid who brought the 12 ga 3" magnums on his first day. His shoulder was bruised for a month, and we all thought how he landed on the ground and then cried was pretty funny.
My dad passed when I was 13 but my mother who raised 3 boy's would have beat anyone one of us 1/2 to death with her wooden spoon. Dam I hated that thing.
Parents should teach their children better. We have guns and our children know what they are for and not to touch them unless we are hunting for dinner . This country is to damn sensitive now a days
Where I went to school in SoCal no one brought a gun to shoot anybody, only to inlet the stock or fit grips but the guns were controlled. In the East county rifle racks with rifles or shotguns were normal in the parking lot, nobody opened fire on the class, if you had an issue with someone you handled it there or took it off campus with no guns involved.
I carried a knife to school from about fifth grade on.
I usually had a gun in my truck in highschool.

He nailed it. As long as you are offering up these free fire zones to these wackos, be it a school, church, post office, federal office building, it's going to happen.
But here lately isn't it odd that they only happen in conjunction with a story that might threaten a Democrat or some other "celebrity "?
Amen to everything he said.
He sounded like Mr. Slave from South Park for a minute
I like this jokes, I have a question: why is he always grabbing himself.
laughter.. the best medicine!
Blessings blessings always
I love the way this man thinks.
So right.
He just says what we all want to say.
Father of 9. Family meetings consisted of my wife telling me to handle it after she done gave up on it. That is when the tears began and the children knew oh shit I pushed mama too far.
Wonder why there’s so much dissrespect! Cause there is no consequence ‘s!
Some of the best words I have ever heard !
I agree..
Fall of 1983 in Texas they took corporal punishment out of the schools. By 1990 knives in the school. By 1999 guns in the school. Kids do not fear teachers, administrators, or parents. We as teens saw it coming.
A man on a mission!
The truth can be so obvious...and so funny!
Funny as hell.
Hell freaking yeah!!!
As of today , that is very true..!!!!
I bet James would Vote Trump this year!!!! #Trump2016
And this one.
As good as it gets!!!!!!!!
If you could only trust a teacher
PREACH!!!!!! All true
It's not about secondhand smoke these days it's about secondhand breath.omg im gonna die breathing in you breath
My dad passed when I was 13 but my mother who raised 3 boy's would have beat anyone one of us 1/2 to death with her wooden spoon. Dam I hated that thing.
60s: literal people are attacking black people with weapons, dogs, fire hoses.
2018: a statue is standing on a concrete mount downtown.
Parents should teach their children better. We have guns and our children know what they are for and not to touch them unless we are hunting for dinner . This country is to damn sensitive now a days
So very funny!
Does anyone know where I can find a dvd of this whole stand-up concert?
AIRBORNE!!!! PREACH BROTHER PREACH!!!!!!
Spare the rod spoil the child ! I'm a firm believer in whipping a child not beating him or her but tanning that back side an teaching them morals !
AMEN!! Heard that,tell ot James!
Perfect knowledge
Where I went to school in SoCal no one brought a gun to shoot anybody, only to inlet the stock or fit grips but the guns were controlled. In the East county rifle racks with rifles or shotguns were normal in the parking lot, nobody opened fire on the class, if you had an issue with someone you handled it there or took it off campus with no guns involved.
