"That was Great!!", "Ok let's hit 1 more time" lol. (hits it 3-4 more times.) Great stuff, love the content bro.
As far as spl goes I find there is virtually no reason to buy kicker if you are building your own box. Other subs just kill it for tye same or less. Kicker for new audio guys is decent with their brand box but i would argue that skar preloaded is better for spl and rockford p's preloaded have better sq. For an spl woofer kicker just doesn't have a place anymore.
To be fair especially for there prices kicker makes really good entry to mid level stuff perfect for a first system and if you've got the cash you can actually get a banging ass setup for cheap if you get a decent amp and comp vrs

Nice video. I got 2 Audiopipe bdc2s based on your videos, skar prefab and 1500w skar amp. Very happy with the setup and zero issues so far pounding them for 2 months. I would love to see a comparison of these CompVr subs and the 2001 model CompVr subs. I had two of them in my 95 and 96 Caprice wired down to 1.3Ω on a 1200 watt Class D amp with an external crossover. Bass was crazy! Subs took the power and begged for more. This was a great review by the way! Due to the limited room in my truck, I’ll have to settle for shallow mount subs in a down firing box. Will most likely be kicker though 😁
He has a custom box for some of his 12s, I believe that one is 2.5 cubic feet which is too big for these little kicker 12s. Gotta try and stick to the specs. I think the skar box suits these kicker subs pretty well
My first real sub was a kicker spl and then I upgraded to a kicker solo l5 when they 1st came out and I've been bumping it ever since and that was 20 years ago... So if you take care of them they will last a long time !!!
Kicker is solid stuff I have old zr120 amp kicked hard. I used to have 4 regular comps back in day hooked up to fosgate 200.2 dsm that used to pushed more than they could handle and it rocked never gave up
Just started watching your channel, enjoying the solid content you got going. Few questions: 1) Do you DD-1 your amp, before a different speaker gets put in? 2) Do you have a sealed single 12 box for cabin sweeping (so those with suvs get an idea)? 3) How many you feel would be needed to obtain that ideal sound for "said vehicle build"? That's all I ask good sir, other than that keep it goin!!
Try kickers comp q 12s. Man they are crisp on every note not to mention they distortion free also. I had them on a 2.5k amp at 1 ohm and people would swear I had 15s or multiple subs. Kickers pretty good in my book.
1.5 cubic feet and one 10, just watched a video of this sub sounded better than 2 12' s in most videos. It has the box building instructions also. Make sure you check out the video.
higher xmax mean cone or surround of subwoofer can up and down higher & more than the lower xmax subwoofer ?? right ? sorry im newbie, and the best subwoofer needed lower or higher frequency response for better ? ( 25hz - 200hz better than sub 25hz - 500hz ? or 500hz better than 200hz ? )
Sadly, videos never do justice to the actual sound unless you’re there in person. Talking about subs, some subwoofers can have a small motor but a very strong voice coil. I know subwoofers from back in the 90s that had a small motor but since the coil is really powerful, it can take quite a beating. To the contrary to many subwoofers nowadays with a big ass heavy magnet and the coil blows up easy.
Kicker subs have a tougher surround you don’t have to be as cautious they wont tear like a foam surround if something touches it in a trunk or behind a truck seat
