@Fishheadmandible we are obviously biased but our pads do a great job for what you are asking. Our Enduro pads have that side and higher shin protection you are looking for. I have never worn ion but I don’t prefer the knee shin combos. Not sure why they just never seem to fit me right and aren’t as comfortable. I know some people really like them though
