I liked the new Praxis so much in green I went ahead and got the Damascus too. It's a good size for getting a lot more done than an EDC knife, just a bit bigger, but it makes a difference.
I bought the silver one, and swapped out the clip with a titanium milled clip. I love the upgrade. The Praxis has always been one of my favorite Civivi knives. This upgrade just makes it even better.
@@landonm7346 I like the silver, but kinda wish I'd bought the green. At first I didn't like that shade of green, but the more I look at it, it has really grown on me.
I did the same thing with the silver and the milled titanium clip that looks like it's bead blasted. Then I got the black one with Damascus blade and put the same clip in black on it. I think it totally makes the knives look so much better, compared to the same old stamped steel budget clips.
I got the black one also in Damascus. Is civivi a good beginner brand? I know it’s an Asian company but I’m new to knifes and thought it looked sick I paid $99 plus tax
Hi LEE , i have a question for you if i may sir? i wanted to get your recommendation if i could please, regarding lubricants, do you use separate lubes for ceramic verses metal bearings that might be a little stubborn or not lubed very well out of the factory ,or, do you just use one lube for all types of knife bearings? brand? types? also , i've never had any experience with Nitro V , is it safe to say the steel is similar to 14C28N ?? As always , i truly value and appreciate your experienced opinions. , thanks, jerry
I use the same lube for all bearings. Right now I’m using KPL. Nitro V is similar to 14c28n and maybe even a but less effective according to what I was reading on Knife Steel Nerds knifesteelnerds.com check out all of the posts by Dr Larrin Thomas (metallurgy PHD)
Got my first knife. I got this Civivi praxis in black aluminum and Damascus steel. My brother goes should of got a Benchmade or something like that but I wouldn’t use a $400 knife lol I’d want to keep it looking mint lol
Hella good looking knife. I’m about to order one. Civivi is killing it. I like using my knives to cut and not just to open and close so I don’t kind the aluminum getting some wear. It actually gives the knife character. Great video sir.
They have a qubit in a really nice pink. I do love that purple praxis with the Damascus that one was sweet. I agree with the green choice too that’s the one to get. That silver is nice though but I like getting unique colors, silver isn’t unique lol
I've got the Purple G10 and Damascus, I think I black with Damascus, and the black copper scales with Damascus I think. I have so many I can't remember them all. Pretty sure I have every one or possibly there might be one I didn't get, if there was a tan or jade I wouldn't buy that. I don't think there was a gold or copper foil with shred carbon fiber in resin version, like they did for the Incite. If there was I bought one, but I still have both of the Incite like that. Gold and Copper, and both Kitefin like that.
This one is definitely my next purchase, unless I'll find a good offer on ultem Vision FG or ultem Conspirator. I have the orange Chevalier, but still haven't unboxed it because I'm kinda bedridden now. Stupid cold.
I may be bitchin' about Aluminum but I am buying the green one because it's Awesome Green Aluminum! It's really not made for field dressing anyway. I perfer and sweet little 2" Old Timer with a Florescent Orange handle so I don't lose it in the dark woods. I perfer a short blade for performing Heart and Esphougus surgery. I have very few shelf queens. I put my knives to work!
I just bought the sendy and i wish I would have waited and done my homework before buying because Im not scared of a big pocket knife. I also was wanting an elementum II but I think Im going to set back for the praxis now.
I've carried an aluminum handle knife for a couple years once,it started out black,a few hundred trips in and out of my pocket it was more silver or maybe "distressed/stonewashed" I won't buy colored aluminum, titanium or any other colored metal handleded anything it does wear, plain silver is fine.
I don't mind aluminum, in fact I like it, but I want it to be type 3 hard anodized which I don't think that is. I'm pretty sure that is type 2 and it will wear pretty easily. I'd like to hear from Civivi the particulars there..
hate that stupid Fashion also .............same like the useless (most illegal) dagger blades ................worst knife ever MT otf.......a fidget spinner with cuttig funktion
Agreed. That's why I think the Protech Malibu and other models with Aluminum scales are overpriced for what materials you get. I do have two of them, but I don't carry either one. They are more collection pieces/investments. One is a limited edition from blade West, with the Mosaic button. I got to pick my serial number too. Anyway, one scratch and you'll lose the value. I have tons of other button locks, including what I think is the best button lock I've ever had, and a way better knife for the money compared to the Malibu. The Maxace Babylon. Anyway I bought the Praxis aluminum Button lock. But so I wouldn't worry about the finish so much, I got the plain silver aluminum version. So no color to wear off. It's a great knife, and I had to get one because Praxis is my favorite Civivi that they still make. I also have the WE Praxis Titanium framelock version. 20CV with thumb studs in addition to the Flipper tab. So anyway I have just about every Praxis they ever made as far as I know. Well the knife is so good I did end up buying the black one with Damascus blade too. Both of them I changed the clip out, I put in a silver blasted titanium clip and a black DLC titanium clip that match both knives. Make the knives look that much better.

I asked Civivi a while ago to make a button lock version of the Praxis. If they delivered they would have my money. Here it is. Amazing company!
I really wish I could get the green finish with the black Damascus blade, that would be so sick
I agree man I got the black and damascus would love the green on there
The lines on the praxis is 🔥. Best knife they’ve made.
My only beef is getting the first big scratch on that beautiful field of green!
I liked the new Praxis so much in green I went ahead and got the Damascus too. It's a good size for getting a lot more done than an EDC knife, just a bit bigger, but it makes a difference.
People will complain about aluminum and 154cm but when a high end company does it there like oh so innovative
I have a praxis and mini praxis and love both but this is a game changer, good job CIVIVI/WE knifes.

Can they be swapped out? In case in the future they wear out ? They look sharp and are lightweight

They just had to make it in green 😮😊

Those are beautiful scales but I'm sure they'll scratch easily. That's why I stay away from aluminum scales.
Worn aluminium scales look awesome! Google used BM940 and take look at that beauty!
I used to be a super OCD with scratches on my knives but i think the scales would look really cool weathered and worn in with some good honest wear.
Quality aluminum scales are the best to me
