Now that is a wonderful bottle. Congrats and keep on digging Brandon. You and Clayton are a very good team. Maybe you all should come up with a new channel (digging brothers). Awesome
An epic year! March is getting close! I’ll be on schedule for the annual Hartman Birthday dig! That moment is an unforgettable one for me! You and Michael have been incredible friends and very generous and great ambassadors to the metal detecting and bottle digging world. Greatly appreciated on my part and many others I’m sure. Looking forward to more memories in the near future!
I have been seeing primeirs lately, What an awesome idea. The first time, I was clicking on it over and over. It lets us Subs know when a show is coming soon. Awesome
My brother got me into bottle digging before I was about 8 years old. One day we were at our favorite sliding hill, (sitting on a cardboard box when the hay was nice and tall) and I spotted a blue bottle sticking out of the stream at the bottom of the hill. Needless to say, I ran home to get my brothers digging tools and we got to work. Like a lot of dumps, you need to get thorough the modern junk to get to the good stuff. I was digging side by side with my brother when I spotted a deep green bottle bottom when I realized a tree root had completely surrounded the bottom. It was a tapered, rectangle big bottle. We had to cut the root in two places and it the root eas the size of a coke bottles circumference. When ee got it out there wasnt a scratch or crack on it. My brother started to scream when he saw the top of the bottle. It was 11" tall, rectangle in shape that tappered from top to bottom, had a "lady-leg"neck and the most beautiful etching around the upper body. He got so excited because there was only one other one known to exist in the US. It turned out to be worth $4000.00!!. He never sold it and still has it on display in his early 1712 house that he dismantled in a different town and erected in our home town. He has collection has grown into well over 1000 bottles over the 50 plus years he has pursued this hobby. Some are very valuable. He has donated some of his duplicates to the town museum in the oldest stone house in New England!
Awesome video! Watching the video was more heart pounding than any drug and from experience there's nothing like finding that piece of history buried. Keep it up guys! Much love and support here!
I smiled through the entire video, great to see all the hard work and effort pays off for all you fellows .thank you for sharing and posting. Looking forward to seeing more in the future.
Great Video! I hate winter, i recently found a dump and now its frozen. In 4 hours of digging i got 110 keepers. 15 of those bottles are embossed pharmacies. Im having the urge to dig but i cant. Keep uploading my friend, your videos are great.

Wow, so nice to relive these great moments with you guys! Your excitement caught me all over again! Merry Christmas to you all, and here's to an even better 2019! Thanks so much!
We try not to focus on the physical value but more on the historical value. Plus we dont want to give the impression that we are only in it for the money. But we may incorporate a little more of it in 2019 just depends.
Loved this video and what a buzz finding all those rare bottles guys. Almost makes me want to go digging right now even though it's 00:19am lol. So much looking forward to more videos from you in 2019. Merry Christmas to you and yours. ATB GL & HH LittleJohn_MD 🇬🇧
that amber poison bottle you found was awesome ! I’ve found one almost identical to that except mine had poison embossed really big on the side with big letters . it rated KT 5 Rare I do believe. love that Eagle 🦅 bottle too 🇺🇸
used to bottle hunt with my friend Brian back in the 70's-80's in Philadelphia. we used to find a bottle that when looked up in reference books would read "no known sample known to exist". When Brian passed in the early 90's his wife put his collection up for auction and she got 34k+ for it, and that was huge back in 90's time period. Back in the 1800's when an epidemic would strike people weren't sure of the causes so when a person died they would generally strip the bed room and dispose of everything. one time we found 19 identical porcelain doll heads it was like a store closed and they just dumped everything. our site was a huge quarry that was used to build stone house in the early 1800's and was later filled to the top with ash and trash. it's still there hidden away and I doubt we hit even 1% of it.
@@adventurearchaeology it still is, if your ever vacationing in Philly I'll send you a map. After Brian passed it just wasn't the same goin solo so I switched to metal detecting.
Great video! I'm in the mid Atlantic and want to start going out on ventures and curious, how do these bottles end up so deep down? Be safe out there...
Just subscribed... Somewhat new to this idea of digging for bottles. How in the world do you know where to dig at?????? Where do you find the dumps? Do ppl tell you where an old dump used to be or do you just hope you get lucky diggin'? And dang you're digging to China, whew! My back would never allow me to do that. Looks like it's awesome fun though. 😁👍
I just looked an turns out it is from a bottling company in Norton VA, looks the same as this one, color and from what see in the video even the embossing is the same.
Hey my friend found a bottle that’s white glass with NKS on the bottom the rest is broken. Maybe skunk’s cola or something they thing. We are in GA. Any ideas?
Remember they used to burn, rotate and push the dumps in the later years of the dumps, that's why you can find something from 18's in the later layers also people also kept stuff longer back then!
Great finds this year, congratulations guys! Just one question..how are you able to get the bottles so clean! Do you use a tumbler? Would love to see a cleaning video of you getting those cleaned up. If you've already done one, would appreciate a link to it! Congratulations again on a great year, hope 2019 is even better! Merry Christmas to you and your families, GL and HH!
Most of those I had professionally tumbled by my buddy Jason in Georgia! I have a video on a homemade tumbler but it doesnt give the polished results shown on the hutchs in this video.
Hi! Thanks for your videos - I really enjoy them! I'm just curious - once you locate the site of an old dump, do you get permission from the landowner before you dig? If so, who typically owns the land? Thank you!
We always try to obtain permission. Sometimes individuals own it and then there are times when the taxes havent been paid in years and therefore the land is kind of in lingo. In those cases we usually speak with local law enforcement first.
Thanks anyway 😁MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and yours . I did a very short walk in a branch this morning and pulled it out of the bank . Only thing I found.. lol
Yesterday We were out an abandoned mining town and we found a World War One medallion from Austria by one old foundation and I traced it back to a family who it should belong to

What sites do you find all the information on the bottles y'all find, and do y'all ever sell the bottles you find?
We do sell occasionally and as far as bottle info hutchbook is a good website!
@@adventurearchaeology thank you!
