So happy you listed the Ball information. My cousin brought us a few items she had of our Grandma last year. We lived out of state when she passed in 1972. My cousin felt bad we had nothing of our grandma. I picked the Ball Mason jar, and funnel. LOL I matched the type and it's the 1900-1923 years. Which is cool our house is built some time in those years, my Grandparents bought it in 1923, the year my Mom was born.
You might have to whiskey glass that one with the lip chip. 😲 Id say that is a 1K whiskey glass all day long. Id reckon it to be a rare one of a kind. Nearly a relic and would be to some LMFAO. good show
Same for not all ladie's leg bottles are whiskies. Adolphus Busch made his own ladies leg beer bottles for exports - and then started using them when transporting Budweiser to the West Coast, then Midwest, and final acceptance on the East Coast. Also it is known that Busch needed so many bottles - that he contracted German glass houses to make and ship beer bottles to him - so some ladie's leg beer bottles can also possibly be German made. Not all ladies leg bottles are whiskies !!! Some are beer bottles of the 1880s-1900s.
If you do find Heinz Pittsburgh PA food glassware - the jar number embossed on the base can give you the exact production dates of that bottle, handblown, machine made etc. Almost all such number Heinz glassware for foods are handblown and tooled lips made at (Heinz hometown) Sharpsburg PA (1868-1910s).
That eclectic bottling works is absolutely amazing. The talladega and talladega springs bottles are amazing. Some of the other sodas are amazing also. If only that jug were stenciled or stamped. If some of these bottles could go on ebay, that would be nice.
Awesome day guys! Congrats on the wonderful finds!! The jug is a VERY good find along with the straight side coke! Lots of quality bottles. Good job and all the best!
It would be BONUS if you could dunk a few of them in a bucket of water so we can get a good look at the treasure. This would be a spectacular reward for all the hard work we go through trying to find such specimens. There is appeal to the mud incrusted display as well. No doubt about that.
Digging Up History - Digging Up Rare Bottles - ****WHAT A BRILLIANT DUMP**** Such a Nice Jug indeed - Congrats !!!! That Dump just Keeps on Giving - we can't wait until next Time when You dig up more Fantastic Bottles ! Well done - great Video and many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
It's great to watch you finding rare bottles....I'm very aware that it's hard work and, not to mention the constant whine of the mosquito mob.... Stay safe...🕊️🤓
THAT is one AWESOME spot!!!! Nice finds!!! WOW!!! That little tiny one you didn't show looked super cute to! Lol!! That medicine you showed when the jug was found is really cool!!
The Taylor & Williams is a Ricketts mold bottle - known for their characteristic ring embossing on the base. More info of history of British Ricketts 3 pc molds and American use of them for wines, whiskies, and beers - but the information has been deleted for 3x. Knowing the base shape variations gives the production ranges for this bottle.
Congratulations on your coverage by national TV. Keep up the good work. Am used to older stuff here in New England but you do a wonderful job with your show. I think you set a high standard with your presentation. I hope other channels would view your show for ideas to improve the quality of their presentation. Keep up the good work.
With all those COOL bottles you must of needed a UHaul to load it up to your vehicles. Wow, the finds were amazing n that jug, what a great surprise in mention shape. I’m anxious just to know if you could put a value on it? Loved the Talladega bottles only sentimental reasons. It was a super fun great day for all of you guys. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍👍
Sadly it’s not that easy. I have 2 GoPros and a DJI Osmo. You can’t set a camera up and catch details so it has to be in your hand to be able to read embossing.
Brandon , I had a leaking PVC water line and had to dig up 12 ft. to repair and it was covered in roots . I found a one handed DeWalt cordless saw zaw on e-bay new in box for less that $80.00 . I thought of you having to saw through all those roots by hand . It worked great , you can hold the root with one hand and use the short blade to cut through 1-2 inch roots in seconds . The only drawback was that it is a 12v instead of the 20v that all my other tools use so I had to buy another battery and the battery cost me more that the saw ( I did get 5ah battery which was more expensive ) on the plus side it uses the same charger as the 20v . The model # DCS 312 . I used the wood blade and the charge lasted me all day with no issues . After seeing the size of the root @ 6:00 I can only imagine what it was like sawing it by hand on a hot humid day .
This was very fun to watch and such great finds! I appreciated seeing the Ball Jar dating information. I have seen charts that date the "3-L" Ball jars as far back as 1895 and I wonder which is more correct? Thank you for sharing.
Way to go Brandon and friends! What a great spot to dig. I wanna thank you for having such a great channel man. I watch every weekend. I always hate to see a episode end lol. Can i make a suggestion? At the end can we see the finds cleaned up? At the end im always sayin “man id love to see those cleaned up”. I know you gotta have time to clean and edit your video for the week, but if possible that would be sick! It would also add some time to your video 😀👍
It takes me weeks to clean them haha! If I did that there would never be an episode. Some of the other channels that do this don’t work a real job so they have time to do it. However I still work a full time job lol
@@doomguy584 and @Matt McCown That would be my vote as well. Those of us familiar with your channel know it takes weeks to turn these bottles in the tumbler, but I’d be happy just to see them rinsed off with a garden hose. 🥹
Great video! Does Mississippi or other state have bottles like this ? I know dumb question but never heard of people doing this before watching you tube?
I'm 65 and started bottle hunting with my dad as a young boy in the early 70's . The best part is that there is no cost involved starting out . If you find out that it is something you enjoy then you can buy the special shovels and probes that Brandon uses to make it easier . I grew up in the mountains of Virginia , we found lots of jugs and older bottles but very few older coke bottles .
Amazing caterpillar, if you have mirrored aviator sunglasses. Could you say “ son do you know how fast you were driving?” You have a great channel and family. Take care
If you look closely you'll notice how far down they had to dig . They find the same 1930-1950's on the top and did down to the older ones . I can say I'm proud of you for the interest and desire to get outside and find them instead of sitting in your house playing video games or on your phone .
@@sportsrecognition.911 Sorry . Another option is to search the history of your town to find old dump sites . Try to locate a map from the 1900's , the dump was usually close to water and sometimes close to a cemetery .
@@sportsrecognition.911 Good luck . One last piece of advice . Try to find out if anyone owns the land and get permission before you did and always dig with a buddy .
The Ball "drop A" and "triple L" were made (1900-1910) at one of the many Ball Muncie Indiana jar making plants. One the bottom should be the large quasi-pontil skirting found on the early Owens first gen bottle machines (1903-1920), then fixed thereafter with the second (et al) bottle machines with the "open valve suction ring" smaller and cleaner glass marking, when removing the jar from the mold.
My husband watches all your videos, how often do u post new videos? And maybe on your next video, drop a hello for mark smith in Louisiana. I would appreciate it if you could.

Wow what great job on ⚒️ those bottles I enjoyed your video thank you for sharing 👍🗝️🗝️😎👍👍👍
That jug was a miracle too find in one piece and the bottle from the raceway!
That Taylor & Williams is a Louisville bottle and fairly common, but still a good one to dig
Snidley Whiplash ... you need to find that Hutch bottle very quick ....
That stash is going to grow all over your face with only your eyes peeping out - until you probably get shot for looking like a werewolf or Bigfoot !
It sure is nice of those guys to share. Those bottles are a special glimpse into the past.
would love to see these cleaned /washed
