Nice stone bottle Congratulations! On those broken bottles below the label, cut 'em like you would a glass, then fill 'em with scented waxes and sell as candles!
Nice video, super finds,it looks hot and snakey in that creek, congrats on the small elephant peanut butter jar,I think that Crack can be stabilized and almost good as new,but the value will still be lower but you will have a nice peanut butter elephant 🐘
I think I get just as excited as you but of course I don’t know much about bottles but it’s so cool to find any. I’m sure here in Florida there’s plenty of bottles but I have no clue as how to go about finding them, could you help a old lady out on that. I’m so curious at how you know all of this n where to go to find any? Thanks Brandan . I love your videos n can’t wait like today when you go a hunting. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍
That stone beer is very typical of what we see in the uk. Lots of different breweries for ginger beer and very collectable if you like them. One even showed up in an old episode of Dr Who (Tom Baker) and i have that actual bottle type in my collection 🙂
Found a lot of those stone ginger beers here. I got an exact context date of 1893/4. Our good porcelain caps are from around 1910 and very valuable. They went on top of the stone bottles. A friend found one still attached to the bottle. R.I.P Earl Kiyabu on first impression a grouchy guy, but full of Aloha for all, and a champion digger. Our one painted letter ginger beer is a Rycroft crown of 1917. Never actually found one or frag. I have found some good glass Rycrofts elsewhere. That first slick looks like an extract. There is one Hawaiian extract embossed. Probably a lot of local products were in paper labeled slicks. I found one whole, and many broken twist neck amber tooled square fifths. The whole one has a blank slugplate. I did find a c1913 ABM slugplate "Waialua Soda Works Bottle is not Sold".not valuable, but nice to find a gem whole one. My first Hutch in '08 is a 4pc. Waialua Soda Works. About 1902, found in Waialua. Later they put on the Not Sold rider. Those stone beers came from Britain and Scotland as ballast in windjammers.
me and my brother are digging for bottles our oldest that we have found is 1840s flask it says full pint and it we also found a 1900s listerine bottles and old frenchs mustard and ketchup bottles :) and loads more. One of our favorites is a old cerum bottle with the cerum still in it and a tiny pain killer medicine bottle
I found a bottom of the green one a few weeks back on my beach and made some beads with it the came out so nice when the sun hits them wow such a vibrant green
Hi, A nice two toned dtour bottle you have there. I live in goldfields of Otago in New Zealand.an we have dug many of there in the two toned presentation. Also half size examples , Cream coloured and off white. All dating here from circa1862-1880.a nice find for you. Many Hotels, grog shanties,[make shift drinking sites [grog] found in the Goldfeilds sites in the mountains, town sites etc. Could sen you at some stage some photos of the many different we have found.
NOTHING WORSE THAN SEEING USED OLD TYRES JUST LEFT IN THOSE BEAUTIFUL CREEKS KNOWING THAT NO AMOUNT OF SUN OR WATER WILL BREAK THEM DOWN OR DISSOLVE THEM... 😥
I don't see how you're alone, bottle digging is great itself but river walking and bottle picking is almost an unforgettable experience every time you go, if i were your friend you wouldn't be alone because i'd be right beside you loving every minute of it..I can picture saloons along the banks, in fact that's the america i want to live in, History is fun.
..... Just returned from digging my Secret Bottle Dump... Backs a killin’ me -And I view your latest release .... Congratulations 🎉!!!! Sweet old ginger beer bottle ya gotta keep that baby Also I personally loved that little Chamberlain’s find Again you show us all exactly how persistence pays off ! If we want to find cool bottles we gotta put our boots on the ground! Cheers 🍻 Sometimes I’m “slow to catch up” Need to rest my back and find me some creeks to walk !!!
That was a good spot for bottles!!!! I always look forward to the videos!!! I wish I could get out and hunt bottles myself but that's a big no can do for me. So I live vicariously through you and E.A lol
Awesome video man got me fired up that beer was cool anytime I find stuff like that my imagination goes crazy wishing it could talk lol the story's the stuff you find could tell man
Hey brother love listening to you. I'm an engineer for Honda and I put in mybear piece listen to you and start my design work. Love it. I do have a suggestion for you, for those bottles to broke to make a drinking glass out of, can you make a pen or pencil marker holder. I would use them for sure. You can cut the bottle down a little lower even if it goes through the script I know inwould use it.
@@adventurearchaeology No. I have been there. I'm on the wire harness design side at the OHIO plant. I have been many times down to gadsden and Leesburg for HONDA. Love Alabama. I got another idea for you. You should hold a work shop and have people sign up and pay (your price goes here) to do a dig or a walk through on one of your most well known areas (so you don't give away anybtrafe secret spots). I would pay and come down for that.
I’ve heard the stone beer bottles were used on ships coming to the gold rush to help with the ballist on the ships, hence why over here in Ca we call them ballist beer
Ok,, after having watched several of your videos,, you get my subscription. That stoneware beer jug is absolutely amazing! I can't believe you found it,, whole,, in a creek filled with unknown obstacles! You mentioned, though, that that creek was lined with saloons at one time,, have you ever taken your metal detector up on some of those flats to see if you could locate a foundation?
Nice finds!! I have a ginger beer from Chichester. UK.. the round bottom you found is a American Torpedo Bottle .. the ones found in the UK are a little more torpedo shaped with a pointed bottom. I have one of each..not embossed though but I love them! ❤
Great video I found a great ginger beer bottle while walking around near an old canal just the other day its in my latest video, well done on your oldest bottle to date it looked perfect.. have a great week and thanks for sharing ..enjoy all your videos..All the very best from Edinburgh Scotland..👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
Hi, a further comment to my previous one regarding the two toned stout or ale shown in your video. The examples we have found here in Otago New Zealand, are often incised with Dundee [Scotland], Portobello [Scotland] or Lambeth potteries [England. Or just plain examples.
Wow that stoneware teapot you left behind looked like it was actually made by Roseville Pottery!!! Even though it’s handle was missing those fetch huge money!!Perhaps the handle was still in the vicinity to where the teapot was.
I just found your channel today, and I'm already in love.. I live in south central part of KY about 10 mins from I-75 in Rockcastle county. Camp Wildcat from the Civil War is real close & the old wilderness road goes all through here.. me & my husband have a pretty big river that flows through here also, its reallyyy similar to the ones you walk through, and we started collecting old bottles & neat things last year and we really enjoy it, its a new adventure everyday & you never know what you'll find! I've learned a few diff things already from your vids, awesome content man, keep up the good work! I deff subscribed 😊
Another great video Brandon! Those stoneware beer bottles were often used as ballast for ships that came to our country back in the 19th century. My girlfriend is mad at you for leaving that Cobalt behind!
What a great find Brandon . A stone Ginger Beer . One of the first I ever found was exactly the same Shape , different top and internal screw with transfer print on . Think mines stamped 1929 . It's amazing how long that shape of bottle has been going . Like you say from Early 1800's . Got be over 100 years . But then I found d mine in UK/GB where I live . . The two colour claze is great looking and the rough base is so tactile. Fills the hand great . Yeah stamping would have been great .
Leesa I actually have had to stop taking pictures and looking at other peoples bottles. I get hundreds sent to me and it was taking time away from my family. Sorry.
@@adventurearchaeology I found a few 32 oz Coke bottles that I think are from 1972 according to the bottom of the bottle from SE Texas. I would like to send a picture of one of them bottles…
Hi Brandon , I am new to your channel & love it . Quick question . I have found 7 1940 - 1960 green Coca-Cola bottles in the woods of my parents lake home in Crow Wing County Minnesota . All of these are full bottles . The cities Brainerd , St. Paul , Virginia , Hutchinson , Mankato , Minneapolis were on the bottom . Are there rare cities or years to look for ? How do people collect these or is there a way to amass a complete collection ?
As a child, in the sixties, went digging with my parents and a couple that dug for old bottles as a business. One of the places was at the southern most point of the US in Key West at the red and white marker. The only insurance company that would insure their collection was Lloyds of London. Still have a tiny white ceramic or glass cup and creamer from a childs tea cup set that I found there.
I really like how they get frosted by tumbling in the water like that.
Finding any 1800s bottles is def a good day 💪
Great ginger beer bottle find! Gonna rate it 9 bottles 🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾
Ginger beer is deeee-licious!
Nice stone bottle Congratulations! On those broken bottles below the label, cut 'em like you would a glass, then fill 'em with scented waxes and sell as candles!
I have found 4 of those Ginger Beer bottles in Alabama.

Great jug find!! I love dark, cobalt blue bottles. At around 9:23 I thought I saw a cobalt blue bottle to the right of you.
Brandon!! I found my first jug the other day, It was a “great Smokey mountains” jug from the Corneliussen pottery co since 1845!
Awesome!
I have a large salt glazed jug that needs a handle... It seems to be about a gallon & a half size.
Thx really enjoyed! Congratulations on you ginger beer bottle. Started looking at waders at academy sports! Can’t wait to walk the creeks around me!

At least they are not leaching chemicals. But I do agree with you. Sometimes caused by flooding sometimes people disposal.
They actually help with erosion.
