100% a military Dog Tag, outstanding find Brandon! Awesome on the Hutch! We love the bottle stoppers too and never leave any behind! Another great bottle dig, thanks for sharing!
Great vid Brandon! Thanks for sharing with us as always! Please share an update if/ when you find the family of the WWII dog tag, what a precious find. It'd be heart warming to know it gets returned home.
I liked this visit...I didn't have to share your finds with anyone else, the tripod allowed you to get both hands in there, & I was able to get the first look! Please do more of these!
Nice hutch hard work pays off 👍and finding bottles are definitely a plus I went for a hr after work and found two small bottles one still had the small glass rod dapper with some of the rubber stopper still attached watching you dig the last few years has helped me get a little better at digging and locating old bottles thanks.
I like the use of the tripod Brandon. It gives a really good view of your craft and technique of how to actually dig a bottle. Sometimes you have to go hard and sometimes it takes a delicate touch. Really cool aspect to see it all from. Thanks for always trying new idea's to keep us engaged. By the way, will that Welch's grape juice bottle by up for sale or is that one a keeper? Awesome video today Brandon, and great adventure and as always thanks for taking us along
These are the videos I like the most :) no hate to the other guests and fellow diggers, and no hate to the other things being looked for, like fossils, but I just dig (excuse the pun) the digs lookin for bottles. Classic!
Thank you for taking us along on another bottle digging adventure! I like that we were able to see you dig the bottles and bring them right up out of the hole. I tried but could not find anything on Ira Dreyfus. Hope you and your family have an awesome weekend.🎉
Beautiful hutch! I was thinking you could use some of those slicks for yard art, maybe. Lol, the bottle that SBD on the bottom, probably means.....Silent But Deadly! Who f****d! 😂
I just found you a few months ago. I had become ill and was stuck in house for 4 months. Because of you I am heading to one of the creek areas near me. If I don't get rained out. Between you and the Hoover Boys metal detecting, spent a little cash. Been researching while I couldn't get out, printed old maps of where I live etc. Only been back at work a week. Still try to catch you when I can. Thanks for videos and all the fun.
US dog tags got the notch in 1940. Previous to that, they were a smooth edge all the way around. This tag is designated: M1940. This style tag was used from 1940 to 1970.
A thought, not sure if this is helpful...Another RUclipsr I watch has made weighted camera stands which he uses to film. It's a metal plate base with a telescoping pipe with a camera attachment on top. They don't tip over very often & have a smaller footprint However, a weighted base on a hike to a site may be not be a good idea.
I feel like a chisel or screwdriver for when you find something but just need to dig around it a bit to get it out n not take the risk of breaking any of your awesome finds.
I found my first dump and kept cutting my fingers though the gloves 🤣 it was surely worth it 😅 I could email some pictures of my findings if you'd like to see them
Both Ira and Bernard served in WW2. According to their marriage records they both lived on the army air base in Birmingham when they were married. The number under Bernard’s name is his serial number. Why are there two different soldiers on one dog tag?
Dog tag looks to me to be per 1960 possibly even ww2 era just based on the numbers. Not sure who you could contact at the pentagon to try and return it.
Ira Joseph Dreyfuss married in Jefferson, Alabama in 1943, in 1950 was living in New York with his wife Adrienne and a son Robert who was born 1946 in New York. Information from Ancestry.
@11:56. That is a WWII Veteran Dog Tag. The T42 represents when he go his Tetanus shot. T for Tetanus, 42 for 1942.
You are 100 % on your game and beat me to it .
Thanks for the info!

I really enjoyed the live dig, it’s like we’re right there with you.
Good video this morning! Dog tag is an awesome find
I'm impressed with your new video technique. Full extraction doesn't have to be rare bottles all the time. Fun watching now thanx
Brandon I really loved this video and how you showed them coming out of the hole thank you for sharing 😊

That green is so pretty!
Really fun to watch video. This is my favorite style. Tripod is a winner. Know it is harder on you but so interesting.
Nice solo dig,the buttons back then were made of glass! Thanks Brandon! Thats what we call my daughter Mirandee & her name is Miranda lol
Haha that’s funny!
Awesome!!

Happy to hear you are doing a bit better! And I’m very glad you found us!
Nice Hutch
yay back to my favorite
Thumbs up 👍🏼 to the tripod
Nice solo hunt, but you didn't find that marble so you need to go back! ;o)
Totally understand that hard ground with it being dry. Im at the point of i need to wear an N95 to dig dumps. Dust is so bad especially the ash dump.

The slicks aren't too valuable, but they're still cool. Great video!
One on the left I think. If Vaseline in quotes and without the trademark embossing. I think that ones older.

Hi Brandon I collect those different shades of wintersmiths Would be interested in it
My wife laid claim to it and now it’s displayed in our kitchen. That Honey Amber color really pops!
The only reason I'm nervous when you use the shovel is I know I would mess up and break the bottle!
I also found a couple of those NY Vaseline but both were identical screw tops😂
Nice, I got a Houppert & Smyly little while back but it's an applied crown top. Looks very old. Is it worth more or less than Hutch?
💥💥💥
The bottle on the left ....I think 😅
That amber could be as early as 1905. I have a mobile whiskey with that same lid from 1907
It’s older for sure! The screw top caught me off guard to begin with lol
nice
Austin, mn, spam town watching
How do you not break bottles prying on them. My heart skips a beat every time
Beautiful hutch bottle. Enjoyed watching you sweat. LOL JK 🤣🤣🤣
Brandon, I have a dumb question and one you have probably answered many times. How did they get the stopper in the Hutch bottles?
Great question maybe I can do a video on that in the future!
For the dog tag
SBD?! They were rippin silent but deadly’s back in the day too?! 😂😂
😂
♥
I found a dog tag a few years ago myself, I turned it into the local veterans service office.
You could try the America legion or if you have one American veteran post or try the veterans administration
How do you find all your honey holes?
We have a tips and tricks video on the channel be sure to check it out!
Any update on that P.O. Box?
One on right

How does one go about finding an old bottle dump in my area
The dog tag is from WW2, you can from the nutch in it
How can you tumble glass and it not break
Remember me the dude that digs in st andrews school i found a new area
What is a "Hutch" ?
Short for Hutchinson bottle.
I just call it " whoosher doosher" sauce

Also Ira's WWII draft card says honorably discharged 1945.....he was born in 1916 NY and passed away in 2008
Another great video without Kyle. Keep up the good work.
Why do you call that bottle a hutch?
Short for Hutchinson it’s the type or style of bottle.
🇦🇺🇺🇸👍

Great video
