This was one of the most interesting and varied of your digs that I've seen! Enjoyed it immensely.....and I love to hear you say "This pit's done!" at the end, lol!
Dude! It is so refreshing to find someone here who actually KNOWS what he's talking about! Just came across you & thought, interesting, INDEED! I watch those guys bumble thru old houses & they know so VERY little about what the find, Architecture, furnishings, Art, etc. Good for you to BE enlightened while enlightening us! Can only image what you've found, will follow you for sure! 👍
And here I thought that you might have been in a need of a break from RUclips. Nope! Your passion presses on! I’m glad I missed your excavations and re-found you. Thanks a bunch Tom 🙏
You are truly "Iron Man"‼️ You don't quit, through exhaustion, & the most unpleasant conditions, you crack on‼️ Thank you once more for an amazing history saving & sharing experience‼️ I appreciate & love you❣
YAY!! I love the longer videos/digs. I really admire how you just keep going at it, even if you are feeling totally wiped out! 👍 Makes me almost tired just watching. 😉 Beautiful finds today. So happy that I "accidentally" found you again. ☺ Thank you for bringing us along🙏
A local antique mall in my town has a vendor booth with a ton of bottles like the ones you dig up. It was very interesting to see and touch the type of bottles you talk about. Now I can relate to your channel better. Thanks for posting your digs they are very interesting to watch.
Tom, ask your cameramen to try & get us a closer look at the designs. I would have liked to see the flowers on that porcelain chocolate pot, or whatever it was.---30:26 Check out the 'face' on the right side of the wall of the pit! It's only half the face, but imagination lends to either human, or lion!---What became of that Wapheton bottle?---That's a new pronunciation for sputum! Should be "spew'-tum"!---I enjoyed the museum tour in Red Wing at the end of my Mississippi cruise last year.---I loved the capture of the fella who stopped to ask if you'd "found any gold yet?"!
Like Tom said the first dig was monumental with common & rare bottles, chicken feeders and tea pots, etc. I believe this is the best one I've seen! Two different insulators found in the second dig! Neat!
Hey man this week was kinda crazy! So a few months ago I was digging and I found a thing I didn't know what is was at first it had cursive on it. Months go by and this week I decided to look up Civil War Relics. Turns out this week I found out where I was digging was a Civil War Campsite that was there. The thing I found was a Civil War ID Badge I cleaned up a little more and found out it also had the engraving of lady liberty! if you ever get the chance look up the story called Grove Lake MN the Lost Regiment. They must have came through to camp not far where I live. Any way huge fan as always. Much respect for You and the Camera Man. Preserve the History that matters most in our lives.
What an incredible dig. Big , small, unique, one of a kind pieces. What a smorgasbord of treasures. And the icing on the cake was the beautiful colors and materials. You definately hit the jackpot on this one. Congratulations Tom. What finds. Woot woot
Glad to see you're still making videos. I really enjoy watching them. Your knowledge of the artifacts you find makes it more interesting. Keep up the good work!!!
Hello 👋 from New York, You guys found some amazing finds. My favorite find was the porcelain shaker. Thank you for bringing me along with you. I can't wait to see where you go and what you find next ☺️
This individual has not only RUclips developer talent, but is a person who can connect with with his subscriber base- not to mention a “nose that knows” where to find his stuff! Excellent channel! - Doc L.
Tom, another awesome video. Fantastic Relics. Some of the new bottles and Chicken feeder and waterer were so cool. The crocks you put back together, I love that. Insulators were so cool.😊
Awesome dig, the sample size whisky bottle with the label still intact, those insulators and that one soda bottle, excellent finds. Urban archaeology at its best, even if it does get a bit smelly, thankyou for a great video.
Well that sure was fun! It must be so exciting to wash everything off and see the history and beauty of your finds without dirt and mud! Cant wait for your next video!❤❤❤
Tom, absolutely awesome dig. I thought you pulled more bottles out than your wrap up. That first pit was loaded. Glad you found bottles you had not seen before and the rare embossed bottle. The green brass things were odd, loved the crocks that you saved. Such a nice dig compared to the last muddy one. That home was just gorgous and filled with history under the earth they never knew existed. You are truly amazing to watch.👏👍👍😀
Man, awesome dig and some really spectacular finds, to say the least. I just can't believe how many medicine bottles you discovered. . Great video, stay safe. Cheers . 😊
It would be really cool to look up the history or the house and see if there are any pictures of the people who lived there during the span of the age of the bottles. Then you could see who possibly used them!
this was a great one, Tom. I saw several pieces I would like to have. Maybe one of these days I can buy some. Thanks for doing these videos. I love them.
This got me thinking about the mountain of prescription bottles that would have been in MY trash, a hundred years ago. Then I realized: A hundred years ago with all my conditions, I would've died. Would you consider showing us a vid of what some of your best finds look like after they're cleaned up?
Tom… are you trying to tell me that vinyl siding was not available in the 1880s????? Whaaaaaaaat? 😮 …. Said with love..💕 Thank you for sharing this story!! lol 😝
Just found your channel! My mom lived in a Victorian home in Alabama. Sure sure if this is actually true, but she said everyone had burn pits back then (no garbage pickup haha) and would throw their trash in the pit. She found hers in the back yard and started digging it like an archaeological site lol! She found lots of cool things that had been thrown out. I live in a home over a 100 years old in Florida and we added onto it and while digging up the back yard found lots of old prescription bottles and dairy bottles, too! Love using them to put flowers in!!
So glad you have your own channel Tom! Make sure the Below The Plains subscribers know though that you have your own channel because I know they will follow you as well or just you..lol....great stuff! I was also hoping you would haul that Abercrombie bottle out of the pit!
The old home owners must of had some illnesses they were having and maybe a drinking problem as well..lol Amazing dig,you really worked hard on this on 😊
Super good digs, loved those crocks. Never stops amazing me how much the people experimented with cures, looking for relief from sickness, aches and pains and heartache, just like we do. Pass me that vanilla extract, will ya? Take care out there,Tom.😊
Thank you, Tom for another fascinating video! I'm so glad to have rediscovered your channel, (RUclips did its infamous unsubscribing again!), and now I'm resubscribed and good to go! Be well, and please stay safe. 🙏
For a minute there I thought you weren’t going to get your feet wet on this one …. Really interesting pit Tom, some great items. Looking forward to the next dip into American social history from here in Devon uk.
So many big metal items. It’s surprising they survived with that water . Like you said, so many bottles that were slick. Te second hole too ad itself. Interesting items.
Sorry tom i didn't realise you had your own channel i just subscribed to your channel now 😊i watch below the plains the other day till someone told me you had your own channel 😉 i thought you were having a rest 😅 i always enjoy listening and watching your videos 😊 i wish you all the best 👍 👌 and i will watch the other videos i miss because i find it intresting to watch 😊Andrew south wales uk 👌 👍 👏 😀 🇬🇧 I'm a big fan 😀
You don't find many Cannabis bottles, were they returned to the Pharmacy to be refilled? Thanks a million for the extra long video, Tom, and all the hard work. 💙
Some of the prescription bottles could have contained cannabis. Some of the patent medicines did as well. Piso’s Cure and Hamlin’s Wizard Oil were couple I can think of off the top of my head.
Tom, so impressed with the fact that you try to save the pieces, to rebuild those previous artifacts..thank you.. xox
This was one of the most interesting and varied of your digs that I've seen! Enjoyed it immensely.....and I love to hear you say "This pit's done!" at the end, lol!
Glad you enjoyed it!

There is something so satisfying about hearing your trowel cut through the mud and hit bottles! Fantastic as always!
YES!
And here I thought that you might have been in a need of a break from RUclips.

I’m glad I missed your excavations and re-found you.
Thanks a bunch Tom 🙏
Welcome back!
Yes, I thought the same! So glad the video popped up! I subscribed again!
While looking for a pharmacist don't over look a doctor.
And he does know what he's talking about. This guy is really fun to listen to.
Thanks!
Yea the history popups are a really nice touch.
You are truly "Iron Man"‼️ You don't quit, through exhaustion, & the most unpleasant conditions, you crack on‼️ Thank you once more for an amazing history saving & sharing experience‼️ I appreciate & love you❣
I know right! You hear Tom say I may have to call this today, and then 2 hours later he is still digging and finding things! so great!
YAY!! I love the longer videos/digs. I really admire how you just keep going at it, even if you are feeling totally wiped out! 👍 Makes me almost tired just watching. 😉 Beautiful finds today. So happy that I "accidentally" found you again. ☺

I'm so glad I refound your channel. I enjoy the way you and your team put together the videos.
He's equally excited about his holy grail find as he is the 100th blank prescription bottle he finds. Love it !
Brought back memories. When i was a kid we use to dig bottles in old homesteads. It was amazing what a clear picture you could get of their lives.
The Indiana Jones of the outhouse pits! 🤠
Tom - my favorite part is at the end when you show the pieces cleaned up. Thank you for such interesting peeks into the past.
So good to see more excavations! Tom you are amazing! So excited when I see new content. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks for watching!
Another great program Tom. Really like the longer videos. Take care and stay safe. 👍

Like Tom said the first dig was monumental with common & rare bottles, chicken feeders and tea pots, etc. I believe this is the best one I've seen! Two different insulators found in the second dig! Neat!

The finds get better and better with each video. That weird Ketchup bottle was cool . Much love from Louisiana❤❤
My parents were still buying that Watkins stuff into the early '60s. They were Minnesota kids, grew up with Watkins products.
Assuming it's the same brand, my parents bought Watkins and I still buy Watkins stuff now. (I'm on the ND side of The Red, ha)

Congrats on the Huppeler find! Makes digging in the mud almost worth it! 😉
I have seen people use bits and pieces of broken plates, glasses, cups etc…to make bathroom backsplashes. It looks really beautiful and original.
There is a dumbing ground of old bottles along rock creek park at the bridge into Georgetown. Many get washed out of the banks. Washington dc.
Always super to watch you dig
Thanks for watching!
