    @wakeupmrreiyn 10 месяцев назад

    good video, here's what i might add.
    - if you have an "OC" card, you basically dont need to touch the power tuning settings at all since they have their own overclock config in place. you don't really have a cpu bottleneck, 6800xt's run fine with even i5/r5s. I have a 6750xt red devil and theres basically no performance difference if i manually tune the gpu frequencies. But if you want to overclock, set the max to something 100-200mhz higher than native and set the minimum to a value that is 100mhz less. You can max out vram tuning but make sure to keep it on default and not fast timing.
    - you may have done this already but to anyone who may read this, always make sure that you route 2 separate pcie cables to your gpu from psu if u own an rtx 3070 rx6700 and above, I didnt realise this for a while and when i did fix it, my fps in gpu bound games like cp2077 and rdr 2 went up by at least 10-15 fps.
    - If you use freesync, make sure to use the FRTC in the amd control panel or RTSS to set the frame rate cap to 2 or 3 frames below your monitor's refresh rate, this ensure that there is no judders or screentear.
    - a lot of the settings in the "advanced" section are for DX9 games only, so they basically arent even relevant.
    - you specify to enable "center" in the as the gpu scaling mode, but you have gpu scaling disabled, so im pretty sure it does nothing in your case correct me if im wrong.

    • @resonance32807
      @resonance32807  10 месяцев назад

      I do indeed hAve three separate pcie cables for my gpu and I don’t use any frame cap for freesync since I do run most games above 240 fps, so when the fps is above the refresh rate freesync does not kick in, I only prefer freesync to serve as a mitigation system for when I drop frames below 240. As for the center scaling mode, I explained in my last video because if one decides to use stretched res it will ensure that the resolution is display scaled, not gpu scaled which causes some marginable input lag. Thanks for the feedback! Glad to know I’m not too cpu bottlenecked

    • @resonance32807
      @resonance32807  8 месяцев назад +1

      Those cannot be changed in amd except for VSR, which is virtual super resolution. In hell let loose make sure to set your view distance to the highest and turn up that 3d resolution scale. The best thing you can do is to upgrade monitor resolution, preferably to 1440p. However super virtual resolution can upscale a 1080p monitor to produce a 1440p image virtually(so not perfect). Do this only if you have a powerful powerful gpu.

    Just trying to clear some things up here since it has been quite a controversial thing and i dont know what to do at this point, Why would you never want to use vsync with freesync? Coming from nvidia just got my rx7900xtx i am on a 165hz 1440p panel, with my 3090 I would enable vsync+gsync on the driver level with 162 fps frame cap and vsync off in game "frame cap below max fps of monitor would prevent vsync from kicking on which in turn would improve frame times and make gaming smooth" how is freesync any different when i do it in adrenaline like i did with my gsync setup it doesn't feel smooth and snappy like with nvidia

    • @resonance32807
      @resonance32807  7 месяцев назад

      Because to my knowledge vsync is never a good thing to turn on for the sake of input latency…this vid was made for more competitive gamers in mind. The idea of combining vsync and freesync is not unheard of, however I feel like it is completely unnecessary because freesync is all u reallt need. Keep your fps at 162 and ur hertz will be at max 163-164. Vsync added driver level or not will only cause possible complications.

    you can't claim this to be the most optimal settings when you don't undervolt your gpu, it makes a hugh difference to performance and efficiency, as does the powerlimit, it doesn't mean it will use more power, only if it needs, but you will use more power by raising the min freq since there is no need for it in reality, however since you play competitive games with high fps you are most likely CPU bound unless you play 4k resolution especially games like tarkov, squad, cs and all them, also you want resizable bar ON, not off, it does make a difference bro. enhanced sync is good when you got double the fps of your monitor's hz and you experience tearing or input lag, otherwise don't use it, it's made for people who run 120+ fps on 60hz monitor and that experience laaag, also free sync range depends on your monitor not whether you have premium or not. you can see the freesync range in adrenalin under display tab>display specs, range only goes as high as your monitor's hz.

    • @resonance32807
      @resonance32807  8 месяцев назад +1

      I don’t undervolt my gpu because I simply do not need to, my processor is already struggling to catch up. Second, freesync does depend on its labeling. Premium allows for LFC, which many won’t use but it sets it aside from the other versions, thus changing its range of supported refresh rates.

      @@resonance32807 yeah why would you want free performance at no cost. I didn't say there wasn't any difference between using free sync and free sync premium, i am saying free sync premium doesn't have a range, it's the monitor that determines the range of freesync/freesync premium. You can have a freesync premium monitor with 144 Hz, but it doesn't mean your freesync premium range is 100-300fps, it depends on the monitor and not the freesync edition.

    im sorry if it sounds offensive but, ive u have an avg of fps of 250 in valorant, it couldnt be optimal settings :D i have the previous gpu model and my pc is now 3 years old. Im still getting on my 6700xt 400-500 fps. for fortnite nearly the same. also u should mention that anti lag only should be enabled if ur framerate drops a lot below ur monitors refresh rate or when ur running ur fps uncapped like me in cs2.
    Also disable free sync. it adds input lag and doesnt make a big difference with it off, just decreases a little bit of screen tearing so it's preference but not an performance boost.
    An essential note: never overclock ur fucking gpu. u can tune ur fans and raise ur power limit to max but do not overclock ur gpu. it just breaks ur gpu after time cause of the heat, nothing more. also it is useless to oc gpu for games like fortnite or valorant which are cpu intensive. just enable xmp + pbo, turn off useless bios settings, tweak ur windows and ur good to go.

      Some corrections I might make: freesync makes a huge difference to mitigate for frame drops below your refresh rate, and the input delay is nearly none as tested in benchmarks. Now I run 250 fps because I cap it at 250 fps. The screen tearing is one thing, but the smoothness is what makes freesync so good. 180 fps on 240hz feels horrible compared to 180 fps on 240 hz with freesync.

    Anti lag ADDS input lag if you are not GPU bottleneck (95-99% utilisation)

    This is inaccurate and not a good guide. Please learn who GPUs and CPUs interact and what individual settings actually do. If your fan is running at %80 or more, then there is a serious issue. It shouldn't be running above the high 50s - 60sfor a well optimized system. Also, timestamps.

      First of all, my fan never runs above 80%. I think you are unfamiliar with the Adrenalin interface as I set my max speed to some value over 80%. This is not an accurate comment-please learn how fan speeds are actually presented. As for CPUs, this guide is for AMD gpus, not cpus, so you brought up something completely irrelevant.
