I love this track. The way the sound design of each of the parts works together is outstanding. It's frankly where I'm probably weakest.
This is a great lesson for the Virus, would love to see more of this dive into sound design on this device
Very much enjoyed this. Would love some more Virus tutorials. It is probably the greatest synth ever in the somewhat sane price range.
You Martin are like a magician in the observatory of sound. As always, unsurpassed sound. The mystery and magic of music. Cool. Thank you for your efforts.
Thanks so much! I'm always looking for Virus TI sound tutorials like this :D I've had a TI for a while now and I know I've only scratched the surface when it comes to learning it. I had no idea that LFO3 had the fade-in feature!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge Martin 🙏
Please more on the Virus, it’s such an amazing synth
Thank you! I have a few things with the virus that I want to talk about in the future!
Amazing vibe❤ yes, I agree it would be great if you explained more about creating presets in virus ti❤
Thanks for great tutorials - I just got a (brand new!) Virus Ti2 - your channel is a huge inspiration. I actually listen to your music on Tidal now as well 👌
Love the way you show this, it's calm and a pleasure to learn. I m just refalling in love with my virus !
Thankz !
Absolutely brilliant video. More on the virus ti please 😊
DUDE!!! You are Awesome...I watch your live events and they are stellar!! Thanks for doing what you do! I appreciate you and what you create for the rest of us!! ~cz~
Thanks a lot for tuning in!
This just popped up on my feed (thanks, algo!) And it's probably the best Ti2 sound design video I've found to date. I've been missing the delayed LFO ever since i sold my first synth, the mighty Juno-6 and i had no idea the Virus could do it, so thank you! Joining the chorus here for a call for more of this, please!
Thank you very much! It also took a while until I discovered that only LFO3 has the delay. I also have the Juno 60 by the way. :)
The way you make the electrons pass through metal to make those sounds... thanks for sharing your talent Martin
Thanks a lot! You really master the Virus, that’s obvious. I would appreciate watching more sound design tutorials with the Virus, in a song context!
That Virus has always been on the very top of my list for quite a while. You juste remind me that the list exists 😅
Sweet demo man, very instructive as always.
Try to get a used Desktop, they are not too expensive.
Big smile on my face ,,Thanks you so much,Martin! Cheers!;-)!!
There is no one who makes electronic music sound so heavenly, as Martin.
Thank you Steve!
Thanks for doing this. Great tutorial. Please consider doing more TI patch design videos in the future, as an owner of a Ti2 I appreciate the insight!
Beautiful and wonderful sound. I love this sound! Thank you very much for sharing 🙏
Please keep the Virus content coming!! Can you demonstrate 808 sound design🙏🙏
awesome! more virus tutorials please:)
Completely brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing your sonic journey and in particular how it relates to your use of the Virus synth.
Only 3 instruments and some effects? I think this is what I like of your music! Thanks for giving us some insights, and give some love to Neptun … 😁
Thank you for this! There are almost no sound design videos using the front panel of the Virus, only plugin tutorials.
True! I find the layout of the hardware very intuitive and the plugin never worked for me.
this level of attention to the detail of every sound you use is part of what makes your work outstanding.
Super beautiful sounds!
love the video Martin, you always make me fall in love with my Virus again ;-)
Endlich! Dachte schon Du bringst den Virus nie ins Spiel.. (love my V. polar and V. c.) Great unterrated Synths for all kind of Sound design.
Hope you do more Virus Ti stuff?😊
Vielen Dank :-) Ich fühle mich inspiriert !
Lovely arrangement !
Vielen lieben Dank, Martin! Danke! 🖖
My virus b is looking at me
just lovely please create long version
wow ! wonderful sense for the sounding sounds ! Best Regards
Lots of useful information. Thanks for these videos. Great job, great music on the channel.
virus ti, one potent footprint
wow you did a great job i just got thr virus T1 and you explained it so nicely n simple. big ups to you and thank you :)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, there's our adorable Neptun! 🥰 Love that T shirt, Martin. Don't know if you've heard of the TV program "The Big Bang Theory" but you're dressed like the lead character, Sheldon Lee Cooper. 🤣
The sounds you make are always exquisite. Thanks for your content 😊
Martin Stürtzer, Thank You for your music and education to writing of music.
Hope to see You again live in Moscow when (if) political maddness in world will end or at least reduce to acceptable level.
(MB Live Channel).
Beautiful Sound ❤️🎶
I am always delighted by your tutorials. I don't own a Virus TI, but it's still always very interesting. For me as a child of the 80s, I would be very happy about a tutorial on the Juno-60, how to create these beautiful ambient pads with. For you certainly simple, but for me as a beginner highly instructive. Thank you Martin 🙂
Thank you! I could to that and also compare it to the Tal and Arturia plugins!
Nice lead. Thanks for the view on the Virus. Big fan of Colour Copy. Great textures from the colours. Some of the "colours" settings with filter adjust will give some nice dynamic filtered tails as well... you know that I'm certain. Keep spacin out
Please make this into a long playing piece for sleep or study love your work
Thank Martin
Fantastic sharing of knowledge, I will try to recreate this sound in hardware and software to learn more. Thank you.
Thank you! That is exactly the idea, have fun!
The riff you play on the profet 10 is class. I'd love to see how you made that patch also. Great video. 👍
Sehr cool, danke schön!
YOOOO thank you! This tutorial was fucking INCREDIBLE and you are AWESOME. peace
amazing
can you make more videos like this one!, you explain very well..
thanks to cat your leather bag is realy cool learning us😏
I was a youngster during the 1970's moog, ARP Era enjoying the dazzling sounds. Judging from the content here, you at that time would had to be a professional programmer to get such creative effects. Thank you for this informative and beautiful video with insight.
Danke Martin.
I love my Snow but this really makes me want a desktop or full size.... Haha
I love you Martin 😂🎉❤
hi, super and clear thanks so much. I'm messing around with the Virus' vocoder and having no luck...and little to no references out there for walk throughs...is this something that you have played with?
Oh I remember that I used the Vocoder and the Atomizer a long time ago! But neither are part of my workflow today.
Nice video.. Inspires me to use the TI2 more often.. Do you have any advice on keeping the virus synth synced to the DAW?
Hi Martin and thanks for this detailed sound design tutorial. I'm close to buying either a Ti2 Polar or desktop but have held-back because of the many reported issues with the Virus's Editor and its inability to send Audio over USB to and from Ableton when running the latest versions of MacOS. So, can I ask please, if you're using MacOS how you've been able to work around this. Thanks.
I totally gave up on the usb stuff years ago and use the Virus with Midi and Audio. If the Total Integration software is important to you I would skip the Virus.,
@@MartinStuertzer Really appreciate your advice on this Martin. TI would be handy for creating patches on a larger monitor as opposed to working directly on the hardware and also for organising sound banks but that's not really a deal breaker for me. Thanks
You should try making a lfo on pitch modulation pluck lead heard in tracks like
Dash berlin-going it alone
Dash berlin-better half of me
Dash berlin-when the world falls apart
Moin Martin!
Niceee
So well presented...........an incredibly interesting sound, created in such a short time, so well explained.............always great to see other fellow Virus users doing this type of video...................(I have a playlist of Virus videos on my channel if you're interested)
Thank you! I will check on your videos!
Not as concise as yours, but some people find them useful......I also have dozens of 'ambient' improv, live looping vids, some of which you might appreciate......
I think I know which Synth you're talking about regarding the order of modulation source and destination 😂😉
I have the exact same Virus TI in my little studio and now I realise, that I've no Idea how to use it 😂 Nice video mate, greetings from switzerland
I felt the same way when watching this. It's a little too easy to scroll through presets with the virus, find something close to what you want and just change a few settings to get it there. It's rare that I ever start out with an init patch :)
@@dannykmack ha ha, yes... I love my Virus TI :)
To get an init patch on virus, just turn first dial left and third dial left
Holding shift
it depends on your Virus TI version, if there is an init patch stored on that slot. :)
@@MartinStuertzer yes of course but it’s a quick way to start a blank preset was why I mentioned it
shift + dial 1 left then
dial 2 left
There is an init patch built into the virus from factory reset
I have a video on my channel that demonstrates it
Great video by the way, interesting to see you. What you modulate 🙏
i repeated the same patch on my novation peak . i only had to dive inti the matrix twice to adjust pan and fm . everything else could be done from the board and FM coud be replaced by shaping on the board of synth.
Great! I never had the Peak, but I thought about it several times.
But you have not explained why the filter envelope does not further influence the filter
The filter envelope is actually just a regular envelope like the others available, except there are parameter knobs already tied to it without having to set it up in the matrix. From the top of my head, it is the FM of oscillator 2 and 'amount' of filter 1.
Where can I find the original track? I searched for hours…
This track is going to be on my next album. I got the test pressings a week ago and hope to release the album soon.
@@MartinStuertzer This is great news. Can't wait to hear it for the first time.
i would put a little vibrato
