God delegates parts of His sovereignty to man. The choice to love or not love Him. How can it be otherwise? It would be like a love potion on your spouse, Do they really love you? God has predestined Christians to a whole bunch of things, but salvation is not one of them as we only get them when we are "in Him" after putting our faith in Jesus.

You wrote….When we are “in him”after putting our faith in Jesus.
      Really?
Is that the order the Bible gives…we are predestined “after” we put our faith in him ?
      Let’s look,
      Romans 8:29-30
[29] For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. [30] Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
      The order in the Bible..
      Foreknew
      Predestined
      Called
      Justified
      Glorification
      Your order…
      Foreknew
      Called
      Justified
      Predestined
      Glorification
The unmistakable order of ones salvation which starts with foreknowledge of the objects(the people) not Foreknowledge “of what they would do”…and ends in glorification.
Yet you claim we must first be “in him” and then we are predestined..wrong!
Nice try but again the Word of God proves the provisionist and Arminian wrong on every level.

Calvinism/Augustine both derive their teachings from the gnostic teacher Mani, whom Augustine was involved with for 10 years. Calvinism is just rebranded Gnosticism. The god of Tulip is not the God of the Bible. For your information, Arminius was a dedicated Calvinist. Faith always comes first for salvation.@@Mattissaved

Manicheism was a syncretistic form of Gnosticism which taught a dualistic view of good and evil. Creation was seen as flawed and under the equal influences of light and darkness. While in Carthage, Augustine was involved for almost 9 years in Manicheism before he got saved in Milan and only as a “hearer,” or someone who participated without making any overt vows toward the faith….Augustine began to move away from this school of thought, and he left it entirely while in Milan.
In Milan, at the urging of his mother, Monica, Augustine converted to Christianity and was baptized in A.D. 387. He subsequently left his teaching position and returned to his native Thagaste where he was ordained into the priesthood, becoming a well-known preacher. Just a few years after his return, he was ordained as the Bishop of Hippo, in Africa. He lived a mostly monastic life until his death in A.D. 430 at the age of 76.
There… I helped you get your facts straight.
Calvinism is the gospel and nothing else - Charles Spurgeon
Foreknowledge and predestination come first in the order of salvation as clearly shown in Romans

Little Johnny, God has predestined the minority of people to be saved and go to heaven forever, and He has predestined the majority of people to be eternally damned and burn in the fires of hell. We have no idea, little Johnny, if God has predestined you to be forever damned or forever saved.
We love you, little Johnny, but we accept the fact that God might not love you, and that He may have plans to send you to hell for your future sins. If you do find yourself one day burning in hell because He hasn’t elected to save you, just remember that we will always love you, even if God hates you.
Take comfort knowing that we are not like God.
We will be in heaven forever only because we were unconditionally chosen for salvation before we were born. That would be the only reason that we won’t be in hell with you if you find yourself there. It won’t be because of anything we did.
So also take comfort in knowing that. It may not seem fair, but who are we to judge God?
So again, if you find yourself in hell, remember that we will always love you as we forever worship the God who loved us but who hated you, the God who sent His Son to die for us but not for you.
Please, we ask, don’t let it bother you-if you find yourself in hell-that we love the God who hated you and showed you no mercy. We must accept the fact that God is sovereign, and He does what He pleases.
My dear beloved Calvinist, will you teach that to your children or grandchildren?
I suspect that your answer will be “never.” But why not?
Why would you ever hide the wonderful “doctrines of grace,” the “Bible truth,” from your own children or grandchildren

“It won’t be because of anything we did“ - exactly - “If you could lose your salvation you would” (attributed to John MacArthur)
