One of my high school coaches had one of these in PLUM CRAZY PURPLE. He used the car as a daily driver and on a couple of occasions took those of us who acted as team assistants out for burgers after practice. He surprised three of us one day as we left John’s Char Burgers with a “ who wants to drive?”. I was the only kid in the group with any experience driving a stick and I still can’t believe he trusted me to drive his baby. It was only a few blocks but it was a massive thrill for a 16yr old that could only dream about a car like that.
+xB e a Rv American Muscle Car culture has been huge in Finland for decades, and now it has gotten just crazy... check out the Muscle Car section on my channel and you'll see what I'm talking about! Thanks!
I used to have a 1970 Challenger that same color, but it was not an R/T. It was a base model 318 2 barrel, single exhaust, column mounted automatic shifter. It had a white vinyl top, black interior with a bench seat with split backs and a center fold down armrest. It came with gray 5 spoke mag wheels and RWL Goodyear PolyGlas GT tires. I got it at age 16, in 1975. It cost $2000. I got a $500 trade in for my dad's rusty '63 Nova SS. My parents financed it, but I made the payments. All of them. I kept that car for 11 years. Then the engine got destroyed when all the teeth sheared off the PLASTIC cam sprocket. Instead of putting another engine in it like I should have done, I sold it cheap and bought a '72 Rally Nova. That Challenger was my only Mopar.
My dad just sold his Project Challenger for close to 20k. That was close to 3 months ago, and I never thought I would miss it so much. The thing would pur even though it had 1 or 2 misfires still, so hearing this is sort of therapeutic. Thanks for posting, and keep up this awesome content.
Never did have a 440 in an E body car, but did in a '68 Charger R/T pistol grip 4-speed with added Six Pack (6brl not available until '69). It was so sweet and sure do wish that I still had it today, it was a badass machine and one fast Mopar. The only Challenger that I owned, except the 6.1 SRT that I have now was a '74 with 318 but was still a cool car.
Honestly I'm more into the 1967 Plymouth GTX more than the Challenger and Charger tho. But I still got love for all mopar. Just the menacing front end on the GTX fuckin rocks
Had the 70 too, black with red stripe wrapped around ass end, miss that car, idles about the same with the cam, thrush almost right off headers, was a little loud :-D
I pray that they don't salt the roads where this car lives, the tin worm LOVES e body Mopars... Please don't ask me how I know, it's a painful memory😣😣😣
RT!! sais kerran elämässään edes olla kyydis , puhumattakaan ajaa. En niin jenkeistä välitä mutta CHALLANGER maailman kaunein auto! valkoisena kun olis vielä...
Great sounding 440 Challenger. I have a 71 440-6 Pack. Tryna decide on an exhaust system. What is your exhaust setup please? Pipe sizes and mufflers/resonators etc? Thanks I’m advance

Cool Coach :)
Dave Fox Lucky U 😎
Dave Fox
You’re lucky that you have a cool coach. I would’ve gotten a grouchy, old fart coach that drives a Prius or something XD.
@@EbilEnemyofBurgerTown wait you football coach and running Trac coach but you fat hmm makes me wonder
John Mcclane
...
I'd chose this car 1000 times instead of a ferrari.
Everyone would
Ep0ch nope
As long as it had a hydraulic clutch and ac
I’d choose the Ferrari so I can sell it and buy a Challenger. Then, with the extra money, I’ll buy a CAI and some decals.
Hmm
I would want a coronet from the same year
That sound......absolutely mouth watering
