I LOVED that you talked about Please Don’t Touch, with Richie Havens (“Icarus Ascending” with Haven’s vocals is one of the most majestic sounds I have ever heard in my life!), and Randy Crawford; what a beautiful ballad, “Hoping Love Will Last”! The entire album is so good - Chester is wonderful on that record! And Til We Have Faces is another magical record! “Let Me Count The Ways” is just one of the best “12 Bar Blues” recordings ever. It’s great how he expounded on the experiences on recording both of those albums! Another great interview, Dereck, THANK YOU SO MUCH! 👍🏼
