I've been to almost every recent Steve Hackett London show for the last 18 years now and he still continues to blow me away everytime with his incredible guitar playing and always delivers top notch quality music of the highest level. He has done a remarkable job in not only keeping the classic Genesis material fresh but keeping the legacy live with an amazing group of outstanding players. A true first class gentleman and a world class musician. My all time favourite guitarist from the prog genre.

I was at the concert last night in Toronto at Massey Hall. it was absolutely brilliant. Steve's amazing as ever. His band members are so good as well. What a night.

Amazing that Steve has given 30 minutes of his valuable time to participate in this interview. Sad to hear about his being burgled.

Maybe I'm in the minority but, as much as I love the old Genesis material, I SO wish Steve would tour showcasing his prolific solo work like The Night Siren and The Edge of Light. Would that sell out the seats? Don't know, but this material is really amazing. here's hoping.

My wife and I were fortunate to have attended the Washington DC show at the Warner Theater last Sunday October 22. Best show I’ve seen in a long, long, long time. The band was great, the sound was astonishing and the vibe was nothing but good. Like the interviewer says, it was the best show I’ve seen and I’m telling my friends you must see this show. My wife felt the same way and she was not that familiar with most of the material. His solo stuff was equally as wonderful. Personally I’d like to see Steve do a tour of Voyage of the Acolyte and Please Don’t Touch!

See you there. It was the highlight of last year's show. This time it will be Watchers to be featured at last since it's on the record (duh) and there wasn't room for that in a 50-50 set that's not a full prog G R show.

Fabulous to hear another solo album is in the works. Steve's so inspirational in his "Energizer bunny" endurance. I'm so happy that he's coming to West Michigan in 2024 since I can't make CTTE. Great interview, as ever, Roie.

Excellent interview. When Steve mentioned being in a half world - The Musical Box came to mind !
But it hardly seems to matter now, just keep playing my song. Must listen to the Foxtrot at 50 album.

A lovely interview; Steve is such an articulate speaker and you listen so well to get the best responses. Steve's current band is probably the tightest band on the planet. The only comparable line up was King Crimson. I first saw him with Genesis in London in 76 and he just gets better and better. It's nice to see him playing big venues; I remember seeing him in some great smaller venues. Can't wait for him to come back to England; I miss my annual autumn Hackett fix but there is a lot of catch up.

I’m thrilled to be getting to see Steve Hackett in Houston in April. If I only got to see them perform Suppers ready, which I think is a masterpiece and my personal favorite i would be satisfied. I was fortunate enough to see Genesis in Houston back in the early seventies and I am really excited and so looking forward to seeing a truly amazing guitarist that Steve really is again after all these years. ROCK ON!!

Just saw him here last night and was extremely happy to see someone under 20 in the audience intensely enjoying the Foxtrot replication. I'm beyond words grateful that this isn't something that's going to die.

16:43 I got 5 of the live double albums since seeing last year's Foxtrot at 50 the first time. Difficult to say which is best. The Liverpool one was a bit heavy on bass perhaps but the bass pedals were AWESOME and I gravitate to that one. The Selling England / Spectral Mornings one was excellent. Difficult to pick a fave. Maybe that one. None disappoints.
