Hi, I'm a fan of your channel and I got an old PC to do some stuff. I installed Ubuntu Server 20.04 and Casaos. I've tried everything and I can't install Pi-Hole on Casaos because it seems that the 2 host ports 53 are occupied. Can you help me?
Thank you for watching and being part of the BigBear Community! Have you ran this script: community.bigbeartechworld.com/t/added-pihole-to-bigbearcasaos/193#instructions-4

I would say it would, but I don't have a Pi5, and lately I've been seeing weird issues reported. You can try it and see. I don't recommend running a server on WiFi, and something this important like DNS might not be a good idea. You can add sudo to the beginning and then put your casaos password in: ``` sudo bash -c "$(wget -qLO - raw.githubusercontent.com/bigbeartechworld/big-bear-scripts/master/disable-dns-service/disable_dns_service.sh)" ```

Hi Chris! Amazing tutorial, all worked well. Just an annoing thing... after all, i can't resolve local machine names after set pihole as dns. With external ip, no problems, in fact pihole works like a sharm, but if i do an nslookup from a client on the net with a local name, as pihole server as example, the ip given it's not correct, it's on another lan addres, like 54 39 222 96 and not the right 192 168 188 100 like should be. Where i'm wrong? If i switch back settings the router as dns, nslookup return to working good, saying 192 168 188 100 as pihole server ip :(

That's what I'm thinking it ain't doin nun
@@divdivdivdivdivdiv figured it out. put the ip of your server in the manual dns settings on your device or router
Correct, you would need to add the CasaOS IP to the DNS settings on your device or router.

You can add sudo to the beginning and then put your casaos password in:
```
sudo bash -c "$(wget -qLO - raw.githubusercontent.com/bigbeartechworld/big-bear-scripts/master/disable-dns-service/disable_dns_service.sh)"
