Thank you for the video, it seems very straightforward. However, my casaOS terminal shows my Ubuntu server name in the command line instead of casaOS. As a result, when I installed it, it was installed on the server rather than on casaOS. Consequently, Tailscale directs me to my server rather than the casaOS browser address. What did I do wrong?

@bigbeartechworld First i want to say thanks for this great tutorial! My question is 5:43 you mention changing from dhcp to a static ip address how does one do that after the fact? Im unable to edit the network tab in proxmox do i need to delete the one created first? Also would i be using the same static ip that my proxmox is on or a different one that is not in dhcp? im guessing its a different one as the ip's would clash maybe?

I think saving your media on container is not recommended. It's only 8GB and it will fill up quickly too.

Thanks for this. I'm able to run tailscale and also to ping that LXC container from another tailscale client using the tailscale ip addr. What I don't understand is to connect to the Proxmox UI. I tried *tailscale-lxc-ip*:8006 but getting connection refused. Tried from different networks with Tailscale client running on both machines. In the Tailscale admin portal the proxmox lxc shows active with subnets and exit nodes advertised. Am I missing something?

There's one noticeable issue, if you are using a different host port than 3000 when it generates the external URL for users to vote don't he poll, the port still says 3000 and has to be manually changed.

I'd recommend setting up the network to work with external DNS servers. This will bypass the router's DNS settings and ensure that the VM hosting AdGuard can resolve queries independently during startup. I had a dependency loop happen to me with the VM unable to start due to not being able to resolve DNS since home assistant is housing Adguard. The VM needs internet connection to sync time etc before booting.

I am following the instructions exactly but am getting the error "scrypted-watchtower Starting Error response from daemon: Mounts denied: The path /data/compose/3/volume is not shared from the host and is not known to Docker." I am running this from a m4 mac mini using the docker application with Portainer. Any ideas?

Hi, [2:59] maybe you could make an overlay in the video, explaining, that this will not work with arm64 due to the mariadb version. Therefore it should be changed to "mysql/mysql-server:8.0" with that everything will work like a charm. Thanks for the great video, well explained!

I have been banging my head trying to get an inventory software called PartKeepr installed in Portainer on my OpenMediaVault server for 2 days now and about 4 hours ago resorted to yelling at my computer screen and everybody not telling me anything. I decided to give up on PHP and find a WordPress plug-in inventory software to see if it was any easier to install WordPress, but NOBODY explains ANYTHING about Linux-based things. It's like some secret boys club and you have to know 20 secret handshakes before someone will give you clues in some cryptic hieroglyphs that you must somehow ALSO magically know. Nobody ever takes the time to simply assume everyone is an idiot and walk you through every single step. I thought I was going to have to go on a quest to find Linux users and beat them up for their knowledge! and THEN... FINALLY! Thank you! Thank you thank you thank you! BAM! In one fell swoop and with everything covered, I have installed WordPress in minutes! I even had an error the first run, but was able to identify that I already had MySQL installed and that your script and it were banging heads, so removed my existing install of MySQL and done! Thanks so much for taking the time to assume I'm an idiot and helping make it idiot proof. I have bookmarked your RUclips site to see what else I can learn when I have a chance. I can Windows anything like a fiend. Hell, I can even Novel with the best of them (as obsolete as that is). But I haven't had need of Linux in any deep manner until I decided I could make my OMV server do more. It's been HUGELY disappointing to find that 99.9% of Linux people never start from the start when explaining things and gloss over all the steps to do whatever it is they're explaining, where Windows people assume everyone's a moron and hold your hand through every single step. So, again, thanks for being a beacon in a sea of blinking pointless bulbs.
