This video is why I enjoy & appreciate you and what you do. You offer products "that work" on mature skin; all price points and you enjoy the process of finding options for everyone. You are never just "selling" your products and in my humble opinion you are selling your honesty & integrity about doing your work. THAT is what comes through and I really appreciate that. Can't wait for your Aging Series to get started again as watching those videos because they are so joyful! Thank you Nikol for all you do!
Totally agree with you. Wonderful to have professional guidance and see what works. It's a complete minefield out there searching for the right product for our skin. Looking forward to the new upcoming fierce aging series too.
Thank you, Nikol. We ladies over 70 are often constrained by a fixed income budget, and a product that costs more than our age would only be worth the splurge if it exceeded expectations. I find that in both beauty and nutrition, there are people willing to make all sorts of claims without basis, and it takes some due diligence to suss out the truth. Showing beautiful young women in their 20s while marketing to "mature skin" is much like supplement companies selling us everything from shark cartilage to ground-up rocks (for the calcium, doncha' know) is shameful. I appreciate you. Thanks for being honest.
The moment you said it feels a little dry to me it looked like it was dragging. Was it? I’m glad you are testing this product. I’m almost 50 and it is sad that when you turn 50 the beauty industry likes to push the age out. Do they forget we have the money to spend? Thank you for always being truthful on all the products you test. It is hard to find and I truly appreciate it.
I’m so thankful that you are there on our behalf checking items out ( yourself as well). Your honesty on products is so refreshing and your caring of products that you test for 50 and above is just wonderful. Thank you so much! ❤
For what it’s worth, I am 49 years of age and I have been using the Charlotte tilbury beautiful skin radiant concealer in number 7. I am an NC 30 in MAC for reference and let me tell you it is SO GOOD! It has some blurring magic or something to it because my under eyes look bright and almost filter like. I set it with Laura Mercier loose powder the one everyone uses and it’s just a wonderful duo. Highly recommend. I have the cleu de pau however it’s spelled, LOL. I do like it, to me this formula is better than the older one but let’s remember that we are all different ladies. Have a wonderful day full of magic everyone ♥️🙏✨✨✨
I was once a Cle de Peau sales ambassador and although I did enjoy the concealer, I must admit I agree the price is way over the top. I have since discovered many many more concealers that are far better at a fraction of the price. Thank you Nicole for your honesty, I am sure all of your followers as well as myself appreciate it.
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your honesty when it comes to skincare/makeup for mature skin. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Love this channel!
I love watching your channel, & learning from you. I am 50, & I can see I have such different needs with my skin than I did at 30 & 20. I don't know what it is, but it doesn't seem like there is much out there to help mature women along their journey in life. I recently found that out with menopause. There are so many commercials and advertisements helping girls when they start their period, but it is a hush hush secret when it comes to the menopause phase. I guess the world thinks of a aging woman as less desirable, and that hurts so much. I think that there is beauty at all stages of life, and just because someone is aging they should not be left out. The bottom line is if the young people keep living, then one day they will become or considered "mature, aged, or old". You're absolutely beautiful, and thank you for teaching me so many helpful things!!
Yes, my body has changed, and so have my needs I am 70, and most products don't work for me. PLEASE, do a video for we older ladies can learn from. We need the help!
Good morning Nikol! Thank you for your dedication to weeding out what doesn’t work for mature women’s skin in a world of makeup that is being produced high rates of speed! 💕
I am so glad I found you! You are a treasure for those of us who are struggling to find products that work and not waste our money. I am 71 and my skin is not the same as it was in my 20’s. Thank you!
Nikol, so happy and thankful you do the vetting for us. The price is ridiculous !! I am so happy you're being back Fierce Aging this Fall.... I'm 70, have been using make up since I was 14 (mostly high - end vendors...) but now use drug store products. I use Wet & Wild based on your trials. I really trust you !
Hi Nikol. I recently purchased some of your products. The eye primer, mascara, and your foundation blending brush! I love your products! I will never use another mascara but yours! I’m 61 and am so happy to have found your channel. Thanks for helping us aging ladies!! ❤
Thank you for addressing all women even over 100! All women want to be beautiful. Life doesn’t end at 30. Women over 50 have worked hard, gained wisdom and have money!
Thank you so much for testing these products and giving us your honest opinion. I am 67 and have tried so many "holy grail" concealers but ended up having issues with all of them. I have recently started using a new to me brand called Fiera. So far I am loving the concealer- not drying, minimal settling & creasing and nice coverage. I have not tried any of their other products, but they claim to be for mature skin.
Nikol! You are so glam and I really appreciate your being honest with us gals over 50!! It is so frustrating to find someone who is truly concerned about aging and wanting to help her RUclips community look their absolute best and accept aging with grace and beauty! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Love yr videos!
$75!! Martha can aford that, most of us can't, that price is ridiculous. I realized when I turned 50 I started to become invisible. I am 70 now and you can't tell I look old....yep......because I am invisible.
Try the Arianna Grande concealer- I am 70 and have good skin (still). This concealer has 40-50 shades and feels like pudding - it’s moist but has great coverage. A small dot has great coverage- didn’t crease or crinkle on me. Stays moist looking if you don’t set with powder. Costs $24
Nicole, you look beautiful! I appreciate you helping women over 50. I am 65, and have okay skin, but I am struggling with dark circles, under my eyes. Ive tried under eye contrast, concealer, nothing seems to work. I hope and pray, they will come up with something medically that will help. Thank You for what you do!❤
RE Cle de peau Concealer! That is so frustrating that they don't test things on people over 60! I am 76 and that is one reason I watch you! Big thank you:)
Holy Grail concealer is Nikol's Just Peachy-omg, so luxurious, smooth, skin matching...I'm 59, and the concealer makes me look beautiful and ready for make up application IF I CHOOSE TO.❤
I really appreciate your full review, in particular the background of a product, which I think does make a difference when making a decision to purchase an item.
Thank you for your authentic reviews of products especially for the 60s plus age range. Our budgets require us to get the best bang for our buck especially for cosmetics! I especially love your tips and products to use to best meet my needs. 🥰💖💖💖💖
Thanks so much Nikol. Without you, I’d sort of feel lost with which products to invest in. At 65, I’m definitely part of the ‘forgotten’ demographic and look forward to the return of your Fierce Aging series.
I find that just using the Wet 'N Wild photofocus foundation gives me nice coverage under my eyes. If I don't want to wear foundation for the day,I take just a tiny amount of this and use it as my concealer. I'm 67.
Oh I wished I had seen this a few months ago. I went back and forth on buying this and finally got it. I was so disappointed when I put it on. It was so heavy!! I can’t believe I paid that much for something that adds about 10 years to my face.😳 Thank you for your honest reviews.
Thanks for all your beauty advice!! I love that you are crazy about cosmetics!! I have hooded eyes, and has surgery for the problem, which was a big “FAIL”!! Did not return…the pain was too horrible. So, any advice, short of surgery, is welcome!!❤
Thank you, you are most honest, and I have bought on others recommendation, and I do not like the foundation (however I did buy a cover girl foundation you recommended, and it makes my skin feel rough for some reason, I do love your recommended Este Lauder and Milani products). Should have known better watching young women, before I found you, so I have wasted money I do not have to waste. But I have now the products you recommend and so far, I love them. Thank you from Mexico!
Nikol, thank you so much for this video. I am so fed up with some of the skincare and makeup available to me as I live in Western Australia and I am 66 years old. We pay really high prices here even for pharmacy (drugstore) items. The marketing is just to get you to buy the item, get it home and it is horrible. A lot of the item we purchase have no testers or we can't return them if they don't work out, so that is why I watch videos like yours. I appreciate all the trouble and expense you go to just so you can help us decide on cosmetics. Again thank you.
As a 59 year old woman, I appreciate your videos dealing with aging skin. It's ironic that the beauty industry ignores us while we have the disposable income and numbers to greatly influence profits. I have pretty good skin but am on a constant quest to find skincare and makeup to help with hollows around my eyes and puppet lines around my mouth. Any suggestions? I feel these are common issues with aging skin but never see videos addressing them. Not everyone has bags under their eyes. Some of us have hollows and need help camouflaging them. I'm constantly looking for the holy grail concealer and techniques for that. Thank you so much for looking after us mature women!
I’ve tried it and felt it was too heavy and settled into fine lines. I use their skincare and have been happy with their eye and moisturizer. I have used their “Radiant Corrector for Eyes.” It’s much lighter and works well. I never understood why the concealer was so popular. The company is now owned by Shiseido. Thank you, Nikol, for your honest review. So very helpful.
My 40 year old daughter is very frugal, but she tried La Mer samples and was impressed so she bought full size products. I only see her in person 2-3 times a year as she lives far from me. When I saw her this summer I was shocked by the amazing appearance of her skin. If one expensive hyped brand delivers, at least for my daughter, it's been La Mer. Nikol, can you test Jones Road for us? I've only seen younger gals trying it out. Thanks for all you do. ❤
I can’t believe that anyone suggests that Cle de Peau stick concealer is the holy grail for older women!!! Every review I have ever watched confirms that it is a big no no if you have any dryness. My Cle de Peau SA definitely told me to stay away from it. This was my holy grail in my 30’s and 40’s but it added 10 years to my age by the time I was in my 50’s. My new favs in my 70’s are Sisley and Dior Forever- neither crease and both create a beautiful smoothness.
Really enjoy your honest informative videos. I am 73 snd I agree less is more. You want to look soft and illuminating. I have used almost all of chanels foundations including the one featured. The vitalumiere aqua is beautiful too for everyday. Also their correcteurs echo your steps. Also that brand is very natural looking and actually cheaper than others. Keep up the good work snd hopefully employ more chsnel products. I am I'm canada. I mmm
Hi Nikol, I used to work in cosmetics (Borghese and Erno Laszlo to mention a few) and the main thing I found most important information when helping a client was - what is this person doing during the day? What is her environment, climate, indoors, outdoors, etc. People like Martha Stewart who are under hot bright lights, whether being photographed or on film, these environments contribute a lot of different scenarios. Not to mention all the touch ups! I'm know you know all of this, but in the case of Cle de Peau concealer, it also has sunscreen, which naturally covers heavier in most cases. Personally, at 65 years old, I find that the price doesn't mean best. I love ELF products, and there are many wonderful "drugstore" brands. Goes to reason why many of them have been around for decades! I use your eye primer, and find it to be perfect for me and love that I don't have to guess at a color match! Thanks for all your guidance and expertise!
I brought this product 4 months ago and have struggled every time I use it. I wasted my money. Thank you for calling them out.! The foundation for this brand only works 50% of the time. And I’m frustrated. I turn 60 in Dec and am so frustrated with this whole makeup/fashion industry. Thank you again.
I feel I must comment on the Cle de Peau products. I am 68-year-old woman who is always searching for a great foundation, concealer, etc. I researched the Cle de Peau line on the internet. I decided to take the plunge and try the Cle de Peau products. I went to the Neiman Marcus counter and the sales ambassador 'matched' my skin to the foundation. I was skeptical, as the foundation looked too dark and 'orange' for my preference, but I purchased it anyway. Totally, I spent over $2200 dollars on products, and they are still sitting in my make-up case. The foundation, at $250, is very heavy and way too orange for my skin color. I agree with Nikol that the concealer is too dry, and on my skin, cakes and falls into my wrinkles. In fact, I feel my eyes look much more wrinkled than they are with this concealer. I did/do like the finishing powder. The skin care products are very scented and do not do the job I am looking for. Presently, I use products from my Plastic Surgeon, and I think my skin is in good shape for my age. I purchased several lipsticks and I do like the 'lip glorifers' and clear lip sunscreen. I wish I would have waited for your review of the Cle de Peau products, as you always give an honest straightforward review that women can trust. Thank you Nikol for being there for those of us who are over 60!
Hi Mary with that kind of investment you made and you are not happy with the product maybe they would consider letting you get other products that might fit you better! $2200 sitting on your countertop is not adding to your beauty life!!!! I think it’s worth a shot if it was recently purchased.
So good of you to review products!! You are the consumer report on makeup!! I’m turning 72 next week and I’m kind of a homebody however, I love the way you treat us more mature ‘ladies’!! And I don’t like to spend a lot of money on products so I appreciate what you do! Looking forward to the Fierce Series!! 🥰
I love your honesty. I talk about you in my videos that I use your brushes, your BB Cream, your eye primer...I just think that it's important to follow someone you can trust. Do I do everything that you say on your channel? No, but I always watch to see what you have to say and I enjoy your honesty.
Thank you Nikol! I've always wondered why these products always use ambassadors who are truly are not the true representatives for the majority. Thank you for putting it out there!
I love this look the best on you!!! So beautiful! At 65, I never lost my oily skin. I only look good in Australian Gold sunscreen. I wish I could wear a foundation because I love makeup.
Thank you for featuring the CdP concealer and doing a GRWM. I took advantage of the Sephora sale to purchase the CdP concealer - for reference, I am closer in age to 70 than 60. It is a tricky concealer to work with on mature under-eyes. I found it requires “priming” of my under-eyes with an eye cream and a thin layer of light-coverage concealer (I like Kaja’s) - furthermore, I use a brush that is akin to a lip brush and I crinkle my eyes as I pat on the CdP concealer. This provides the best and least crease-y concealing for my under eyes.
I gave Pixi' s new foundation a try. It is so pretty. It stays on and keeps a fresh look all day. I am really happy with it. Your Brushes are great and next on my list of have to Have! That creamy Chanel Foundation is gorgeous you have on. Thanks Nikol! I have to add, thanks for the prices.
Nikol, good for you contacting that company! That is wrong to be ambassadors for a product for age 70 and have young women say it’s good. Definitely did your research. 👏 Bravo
I have learned so much about the feeling of the product. I used to just put a product on and live with it. You have taught me something new. I am not a makeup wearing individual and the less is more for me. thank you. Leaned Revelon, and now I know I have better options.
I think you are amazing! I stumbled upon your site and fell in like with your make up techniques! I just turned 62. I am like qhat happened who am I???? Thank You for showing it's going to be ok.
I was just at the Chanel counter yesterday and almost purchased this new mascara. I am glad I saw this because I was contemplating going back to purchase. I realize everyone likes different products, but there are so many on the market that it is getting increasingly more difficult to choose. I appreciate your reviews. More products than not don't work for mature skin. It is so easy to get caught in the media hype and waste money and time. I was wondering if you might review some of the Jones Road products. Thanks for all you do!!
I have a review on Jones road WTF and the miracle balm. Also I have been using the new Chanel mascara and it’s really terrible flakes and doesn’t give lashes that wow. I would stick with the Chanel volume I think this one is really about the packaging not the formula in my opinion.
Nikolai, I am in my 60's and I have issues with my eyebrows. My eyebrows are thinning and getting very light. Would you do a tutorial for mature eyebrows?
Nikol, your mascara is far the best! I love the formula-it does not leave clumps and sticks on my lashes. And i am a fan of the brush , I have moderate amount of natural lashes for a 56 year old, your mascara makes my lashes look amazing. thank you
Excellent and truthful video, thank you as always!!! BTW, I love your eye primer, just received and very happy with your product, do you suggest use below the eye at all?
I use this concealer and it’s super heavy so I just use it in inner corner where it is super covering the darkness and doesn’t need to move over wrinkled skin. I also use it to cover any pigmentation spots that aren’t covered by my light foundation. So spot concealing. It works super well but not for the under eye where it’s too thick to flex with wrinkles. So maybe people are buying it for that and I honestly can’t find anything as good for my specific way of using it.
Many thanks, Nikol, for another honest review of 2 pricey products. I use to use Cle de peau concealer years ago, but it just became too expensive for me, and I found that other, less expensive concealers did the job very well for me. I was a little surprised to hear that you did not care for the Chanel mascara. I would have thought that it would have worked well. I'm happy to hear your honest opinion. You saved me alot of money with your reviews of these 2 products. P.S. I love the lipstick and eyeshadow colors you are wearing!
I used to use this in the 80s, but eventually switched to Bobbi Brown corrector/concealer in the 90s. Now I use your Peachy shade to correct and I'm always looking for the next concealer for me. I think I've tried them all at this point, but find Laura Mercier and Armani Fabric to work best currently. Dark under eye circles without bags is a family inheritance. LOL
My daughter and I are 30 years apart. We both love it! It’s actually $80. Worth every dime! Wet n wild really?!? Try it wear it! Nordstrom cosmetic department highly recommended the product.
Relatively new to your videos, I need to go to your library to see how to deal with my face and make-up. Love your results and product research. Thanks for sharing!
I would love to be a part of your Fierce Aging series! I'm turning 61 this month although I believe age is just a number. I totally concur that mature women are extremely under represented in the beauty and fashion industries and would love to be a player in turning that around. 😊❤
I have been using Cle de Peau concealer for decades. As I have ages the product is too dry and creased quickly. I still have the product I use it on my outer corners of my eyes because it has SPF. I USE Tarte for the rest of my eye
So good, Nikol! I love to see the eyeshadows you like because we have similar coloring. The Sweet Carol palette is beautiful- I love using those colors, so I'm going to buy it. My first Nikol purchase! It seems whenever I have a makeup question, up pops your video with the answer! Update: I ordered the Sweet Carol palette, mauve eyeliner, mascara, and peachy concealer. Can't wait to try them out!
I never thought to mix an apricot blush with a pink blush. I want to try it! When I was in my 20s I used Max Factor Erace stick concealer. I liked it but stopped buying it because it dried out long before I used it up. Ever since, I've avoided stick concealers for fear that would happen again.
I recently discovered Elizabeth Arden skin caring concealer and foundation. I found them both to be non irritating and improved the look of my 70 year old complexion. I’m curious to know your opinion on those two products.
I just knew you would take that concealer off! Thanks for trying it though. I like Nars concealer, I'm 70 years old. Although I like the Nars very much, I'm always looking for something better. Also, I just ordered the Just Peachy because I have darkness under my eyes.
I recently tried Chanel bronzer that every one loves. Not. It was muddy. Estée Lauder bronzer was soooo much nicer. I’m interested in the Doir foundation and which one to use???

Thank you, you are most honest, and I have bought on others recommendation, and I do not like the foundation (however I did buy a cover girl foundation you recommended, and it makes my skin feel rough for some reason, I do love your recommended Este Lauder and Milani products). Should have known better watching young women, before I found you, so I have wasted money I do not have to waste. But I have now the products you recommend and so far, I love them. Thank you from Mexico!
I chuckled at your honest comments about the concealer and mascara. I love it!!😊
Nikol, thank you so much for this video.
Thank you for looking after older women!
I put it under my foundation and I love it. It maybe heavy because you put on two layers. It's has good coverage a little goes along way.
Heavy from the very first swipe

Yes, please test Jones Road. Thank you
I can’t believe that anyone suggests that Cle de Peau stick concealer is the holy grail for older women!!!
3/4 of a century this year! The Queen became the Queen when I was 4! Looking forward to your next series!
I mmm
Hi Nikol,
I used to work in cosmetics (Borghese and Erno Laszlo to mention a few) and the main thing I found most important information when helping a client was - what is this person doing during the day?

Do the frustrated Debbie this is why I am here on RUclips! Together we figure it out and navigate this crazy mature beauty space 🥰🥰
I love this as a concealer for my face!! With no foundation it’s wonderful. Not under my eyes. And I warm it up first.
Wonderful revealing video, Yes, it sure is hard for us ladies in our 70's to find the right
products. However, we have YOU to guide us. Many thanks.

Start using Latisse for your eyelashes and eyebrows. Mine grew in and stay thick.

So happy you give us your honest opinion. That’s very important to us because we trust you!
Thank you
Thank you for your honest review.
Nikol,
You are so amazing! Absolutely love your channel. Thank you for being so genuine ….

Good morning! Love all of your color correctors. They do the best job! Love your videos and so glad you are so honest.
What are your top 3 concealers for an almost 70 years old who has crepey undereye skin? Thank! LOVE your videos!!!
LOVE your approach and honesty and real-ness!!!
You saved me some money. Everybody that I watched love that concealer. I’m thinking that I was missing out. I’m 64. Thanks.

Hi Nikol, i am 49 and what works for me is Lancome Effacernes longue tenue, i have fine lines and this one is not dry and dont settle in the lines
You are so pretty, I don’t wear makeup because I don’t know how to do it and I doubt that I would ever come close to looking as lovely as you do.
OMG. that new Chanel mascara is form over function. I love your honesty.
Great review, Love the make up look today . Does your champ lipgloss has glitter /sparkles in it? Hard to tell , Thanks!
Yes slightly nothing glittery soft sheen
Your undereye product looks great.
Thank you for being here with us !

Thank you, Nikol! I couldn't pay that to begin with but I would hate to see people who can spending that kind of money and being disappointed.
Relatively new to your videos, I need to go to your library to see how to deal with my face and make-up. Love your results and product research. Thanks for sharing!
💖💖💖 I SOOOOO appreciate you, your knowledge and recommendations. ALWAYS CLASSY and trust you. Thank you.
Thanks, Nikol. For exposing the hype! I always turn to you, because you are SO HONEST!

Thank you for sharing your opinion when it come to senior age not being reflective in the makeup industry.

Sweet carol colors are just beautiful 😊
Some days I have super purple under eyes and I use your blue stick (what you recommend for correcting red). Dual purpose product in my opinion.
I just knew you would take that concealer off! Thanks for trying it though. I like Nars concealer, I'm 70 years old. Although I like the Nars very much, I'm always looking for something better. Also, I just ordered the Just Peachy because I have darkness under my eyes.
Glad you shared this. I don't need another product that wont work. Ha! Your make looked great.
I recently tried Chanel bronzer that every one loves. Not. It was muddy. Estée Lauder bronzer was soooo much nicer. I’m interested in the Doir foundation and which one to use???
Thankyou Nikol for everything you do for us.💕
Your honesty is so refreshing❤️
Thank you for this information, Nikol. Would you be willing to review “Fiera” concealer?
Thank you ! The tips for my age in my sixties really helps. You seem to have a great line of cosmetics!
