    Some excellent tips here Sandro, especially the one about having a spray bottle of clean water handy to remove extra stubborn residue. Like yourself, and some of your other viewers, I've noticed some APCs and carpet cleaners are harder to work with than others, and this extra step is helpful when you don't have an extractor. Cheers, and have a great weekend.

    Great video and useful advice, but i would maybe add one more go over with the vacuum after the carpet is dry to suck up dirt that was bound by the cleaner and is still stuck in the pile.

  • @snsum2853

    Hey mate, another great vid. One tip I would add (ex industry having run a large business in it) is that extractors have their place and are quite important to make sure the job is done properly. The only time I would use a spray, agitate and wipe solution is with a specific encapsulating spray for carpets. Any other chemicals, especially APC's will look clean in the start but any sort of moisture going onto those carpets will "reactivate" it and rip the dirt from the shoes back onto the carpets. There's also certain stains on lighter colored carpets that can be a pain to remove eg red cordial. Fun fact- when doing an encap, a rotary with a soft pad works very well.
    On a side note, have you had a chance to test out Menzerna Cut Force Pro yet?

    Aw, snap! Just cleaned my mats yesterday; even did brush stripes like your other video.😄🤙🏼
    I just inherited a mint Bugeye WRX, owned by my mum since new. It lived in Mona Vale, 500m from the seawater. The engine looks like an old outboard motor, scaled and even lightly pitted. Any tips on cleaning/restoring metal with ..limescale?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  5 месяцев назад +1

      After cleaning/degreasiing engine bay to remove all the surface grime, a strong acidic cleaner like CLR or similar, can help start to remove limescale and even light surface rust and tarnish. Just try to avoid getting it on rubbers/plastics/paint and be ready for some serious elbow grease with some stiff brushes - If you can remove parts and let them soak in the acid cleaner that makes life easier. Soft metal drill brush and/or sandpaper attachments can also help.
      After that a metal polish like Autosol preferably with a smaller rotary polisher can help further clean and restore the metal.
      It’s a tough job to do!

      @@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks mate! I hit her with Septone All Brite at full strength, it cleaned the oxidation off nicely, tried several nylon brushes until l found one that foamed nicely.
      Tried cheekily following that with Autosol but no dice, it just went gunmetal.😄 That tells me it’s either still dirty or not smooth, probably both. I’ve got Purify and Multi-X, dunno whether to try a dedicated degreaser. The top of the engine is calcified rather than greasy though.
      I’ll try a few more chemicals, then it’s just gonna be wet sanding and polishing. Access will be a nightmare. Really appreciate the help, thanks Sandro! 🤙🏼

    I vacuum in this exact manner, unfortunately on current Ford utes and all Nissans, the process causes what seems to be fibre straightening and gets puffy. Not flat and dense anymore. 😢

      Yes, unfortunately not all carpet is created equal and the cheaper stuff is becoming more and more common which not only degrades quicker but is also harder to clean!
