Fashion Nova trash like clothes are taking over. I prefer quality over quantity. Those fashion nova type brands are super low quality, wash it twice and it disappears.
I would NEVER take fashion tips from Andre. Most people are making trash/cheap material just to make fast money.
You don't have to take tips from it, but you better know that his name rings all over the world. That part.

Its about time fashion houses close because none of them are exclusive to all! Change and embrace all or be gone! 2 plus size models does not make that industry inclusive! And homey what r u wearing! Nothing lasts forever.....
That's not true. Plenty of brands go up to sizes 14 or 16 that is of quality. Vince Cumuto, Ted Baker, etc.

@@drakecomegetthiscake There was NOTHING FAKE about him. Only folks who read the tabloids or rely on what they've heard would make such an ignorant comment. He doesn't sound British and never claimed to be from England or anywhere else in Europe. Those of us that had the privilege to know and work with him understand and appreciate the doors he opened to us while the industry was depriving him of the pay and perks he deserved. I know personally a lot of black photographers, videographers, writers, models, deejays, make-up artists, and production techs that would have starved or ended up homeless if it hadn't been for ALT. I am still working in the fashion business, have my own production company and try to make opportunities available
to those deserving, hard-working folks that don't have access. Thank you ALT for all that you did to make the fashion industry highway easier to travel for so many of us.

I knew the comments were going along to positively....he is wearing a caftan... it's his signature accessory...he knows he is large in a very critical and judgemental field of fashion... so he wears caftans so he can feel better about himself... and he can focus on his talent and not the haters.

I guess only fashionistas like Andre can get away with going around in bedspreads and call it fashion.
Here lies Andre the Great of the Talley clan, a splendidly tall gay black man who was first outcaste by black people, then accepted by white people and then outcaste by them. A brilliant man who spent his entire life trying to fit into an elitist white fashion world and was ultimately used up and cast out from a fashion world that felt he did not belong. A magnificent man who had so many friends that he died broke and alone while being evicted from a mansion he didn't own for back rent from a white landlord with whom he claims he had a "gentlemanly agreement" to live scot-free for the rest of his life. Nevermind the white landlord who sought to evict him from that mansion was great "friends" with the same white people who evicted him from the white fashion world after he bit the white hand that fed his black mouth for so many years. Put simply, fashion is façade and when that façade falls and all the pretentiousness is laid bare, a hollow barren human being lies beneath all the sartorial splendor, which in Mr. Talley's case was a penniless black man who in the end was left with nothing more than the emperor's clothes, a closet of rags & magnificent memories of a glorious yesteryear marked more by symbolism than substance, OR as Shakespeare once posited:
"Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time;
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!

I was looking for this exact kind of comment, and thankfully I found it. What you wrote ain't nothing but the truth. Everyone is so fake, acting like this dude was "iconic". Please.
