My girlfriend left me in part because I used to rely on the alarm clock function of Pocket Shrek and the alarm noise was a poor impersonator yelling "WOAH YEAH! RRRRRRRRRRR! WOAH YEAH! RRRRRRRRRRR!". She didn't like waking up to it and couldn't stand the idea of being with someone who was amused by something like it. It is truly a terrible feeling to have known love and lost it, but on the other hand *WOAH YEAH! RRRRRRRRRRR!*
Fun bit of trivia: Shrek Super Slam (31:54) actually had a modest competitive community for a handful of years, largely because nothing is funnier to fighting game players than beating your friends in a game that you like less than they do.
I think the reason why the ogre babies don't have names but the dronkeys do is, because the game was released before Dreamworks gave the ogre babies official names for the fourth movie and they named the dronkeys for the third movie. Ogre Jr is Fergus, ogre boy is Farkle, and ogre girl is Felicia. Still, it's odd and funny that they're named like that.
Well, it specifically says "English". As distinct from "American", so it doesn't mean English language. But the picture is a Union Flag/Jack so who the f*** knows?

One of the reasons I've thought a lot about what games I'd want to introduce new family members to. What if they stay forever nostalgic for some cash-grab? But then again the enjoyment I could gain from gifting them Crazy Frog Racer 2. What if their parents aren't smart enough to not abide when they're crying for DLC, and the kid drowns in the ocean of content and I'll have to pay the funeral because the parents are in debt from trying to pay for it all? What if they end up falling in love with the company producing stuff and even as an adult keep unquestionably consuming and spending money, maybe even defending the company from criticism because they refuse to face the fact that the thing they loved for years was creted by abuse, sexual harassment, bigotry and/or general assholery? Or maybe I'll just give them the Sims 1 and tell them if all the sims die they die too so they can suffer from the same nightmares I do

If you haven't beaten the gamecube Shrek 2, I do recommend it because there are quite a few other playable characters and the work they put into them is really commendable. Like playing as the Big Bad Wolf and Puss In Boots Plus when Shrek and Donkey drink the happily ever after potion they become ONE new character that is human Shrek riding stallion Donkey as his steed. Since the game mechanically always needs 4 characters for co-op, they have to introduce a few original characters to the story, implying they were always just offscreen in the movie. Hearing you say you can't beat level 3 of Shrek Hassle in the Castle is, I truly believe, the most specific, deeply relatable thing I have ever come across on the internet. As a child I was given only 2 games for my Gameboy Advance- Rayman, and this game. Oh the hours I spent trying to overcome level 3, longing to see what came next, to experience the elusive Duloc. The gameboys were especially bad, even bigger console games would get a barely related 2D-platformer "versions" for them. Bonus points if loading screens, backrounds, character images or even cutscenes are just straight up from the media.
Hassle at the castle is the hardest game I've ever played. I've owned it since I was a child and I've only ever made it to the castle. thank you for this incredibly entertaining video i had a great time watching it. it seems you missed the ps2 version of Shrek Super Slam which is completely fine but I will write my own short review because I love that game so much. The PS2 version of Shrek Super Slam is absolutely the definitive version of the game. So many characters to unlock with different costumes and movesets, enchanting soundtrack of catchy tunes, silly cutscenes depicting absurd scenarios with great animations and jokes, really snappy and satisfying movement mechanics, heaps of fun immersive levels with destructive environments, punchy and juicy sound effects, an entire story mode with plenty of fun change-ups for the sake of variety, and even a multiplayer mode so you can play with your friends (or siblings as it so happened for me back in the day). its adherence to the dry humour and absurd comedy of the shrek movies combined with its consistently fun, varied and satisfying gameplay makes Shrek Super Slam for the PS2 the greatest shrek game of them all. 6 out of 5 onions, would recommend to anyone who loves shrek.
I didn't realise there were so many Shrek games. I had a copy of Shrek 2 for Xbox, which was fantastic because it allowed for four-player simultaneous co-op, which is something you rarely see. It still holds up surprisingly well for a 2000s platformer.
my friends play shrek super party constantly, we have a bug board for it with all the possible score combinations you can get, i highly recommend checking that game out
If the theory that Shrek made up his name to try and get rid of Donkey is correct, it would make sense that the kids don't have names - like a traditional Ogre thing that Fiona was embracing as her true culture. I mean, they did by the fourth movie but still. That would have been more interesting imo.
There is so much good stuff here!! I’ve never heard of most of these, and in some ways they look like trash… but so many of them have heart and look worth pushing through some of those issues
The only TV game i ever remember playing is this one where you're a rabbit and you have to dig for carrots throughout the level. Sort of similar to digdug?
excellent work! was fun seeing just how many damn shrek games there are it's worth noting that the PC version of Shrek 2 is a completely different video game from the console version. it's a dedicated singleplayer platformer and if memory serves a bit of a brawler?

I'm Only 17 minutes in, but I'm really hoping Tony Hawk's Underground 2 shows up
Lilly Mothcub, have you been to the Shrek Experience in London?
YES AND I LOVED IT AND I HAVE A T-SHIRT AND A TOY FROM THERE. LMAO
Your neocities website is very cute. I love reading people's personal sites!! Maybe one day I'll be dedicated enough to make one
Thank you!!! Yesss, do it. Make a dog facts website full of outrageous lies. Actually, I might do that. Spark of genius.
i think shrek is funny and random, he gives me the lols
No shrek super party :( Great vid tho!
Yeah I forgot that one lol
The console shrek super slam has a surprising amount of content and pretty good tutorial. Not sure what went so wrong with the portable one, yikes.
That racing one with the painful backgrounds i couldn't hardly look at it, let alone play it
my friends play shrek super party constantly, we have a bug board for it with all the possible score combinations you can get, i highly recommend checking that game out
Goodness i just adore this channel ❤
This is the best game review Of All Time
If the theory that Shrek made up his name to try and get rid of Donkey is correct, it would make sense that the kids don't have names - like a traditional Ogre thing that Fiona was embracing as her true culture.
I mean, they did by the fourth movie but still. That would have been more interesting imo.
There is so much good stuff here!! I’ve never heard of most of these, and in some ways they look like trash… but so many of them have heart and look worth pushing through some of those issues
I really had a good time across the spectrum! Some good, some nasty, all good fun. But of course, I'm very strong of spirit.
I remember as a kid buying the DS game and being stuck at that mirror and giving up despite (what felt like) hours of trying
It’s a hard world out there for us large head lovers
I'm wearing headphones. When you sa9d "awesome" so close to the mic, I screamed and woke up my family
Shrek Party gets him. Those devs got the character.
Wow.
I did not know that there was an Ouendan-like Puss in Boots game. It's so silly that so many games used the formula of Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents!
i like when donkey holds rock c:
Shrek 2 the game and the film are my two favourites ever in their field just good good memories
The only TV game i ever remember playing is this one where you're a rabbit and you have to dig for carrots throughout the level. Sort of similar to digdug?
10:44 Over The Hedge is am absolute masterpiece you got to see.
Many (3 comments) are saying this..... perhaps I was foolish to shun the hedge
It’s great how I did not know there were Shrek games at all. Edit: oh the character design is actually cute!
excellent work! was fun seeing just how many damn shrek games there are
it's worth noting that the PC version of Shrek 2 is a completely different video game from the console version. it's a dedicated singleplayer platformer and if memory serves a bit of a brawler?
It's so funny to me the only Shrek games I played as a kid were Shrek Party and Shrek 4, and those Java games are the only good Shrek games ever 😭
This was great. If you ever played the PS2 era Scooby-do games, you should do them at some point.
I grew up playing Shrek Super Slam on GameCube. It is highly recommended for folks who just want a mindless fighting game to play and laugh with your friends!
You know, I would have guessed there were maybe three Shrek games tops.
Life offers us many bounties.
