That could be a really fun puzzle actually. Having to find clothes that make you look like a male to escape Gerudo Town because they're too protective of Zelda or something

13:02 There IS a limit how many Beds (Echoes) you can summon! Tri has a finite amount of Triangles behind her (3 at the start, but can be upgraded, as it seems) and Echoes use these Triangles, to be summoned. So, if Tri only has 3 Triangles, you can only stack 3 Beds (one Bed uses 1 Triangle). Or you can summon one Bat (uses 1 Triangle) and one Deku Baba (uses 2 Triangles) or one Redead (uses 3 Triangles). Honestly, i LOVE these restrictions, so we have to be smart when to summon wich Echo.
Not only that, but each echo has a triangle on top of it to keep track. Some instances like at 8:50 uses two triangles (look over the fish). So I wonder if throughout the game you earn more triangles at the same time as heart containers so you can create more echoes as the game goes on.
Great analysis I was wondering how they’d limit echoes as to not break the game but I didn’t put those details together!

You can't just stack the beds on top of each other to get over every obstacle. You have a limited number of things you can create at one time, and they disappear after several seconds.3 or 4 beds won't be enough to climb a high wall. Tri has a limited number of triangles floating behind him. Those represent how much "power" he has, and each item takes at least one triangle to create.

So excited, but I do hope we get a Zelda more like the originals later on. I do love how similar Goron City looks to the botw Goron City.
I do miss a more traditional Zelda game but I also absolutely want to play this.
If we focus too much on how this game is similar to past titles we miss some of the wonder of how much this game is innovating. Mom just made dinner. Don't start sniffing yesterday's leftovers before you eat or you might spoil your appetite.
I really hope that Vaseline blur effect is something that can be turned off.
Man it killed me in the last one. It was cranked so high it messed with my eyes. I get what they're trying to do but it's not needed at all.
It's Nintendo, so it's all but guaranteed the visuals will not be optional.

This game looks fun, but I really hope we haven’t seen the end of linear Zelda games - I was hoping the top-down games would be where traditional Zelda games can live on
It might take a while, but I do think the pendulum will eventually shift back to linear or at least in the middle. Consumers will eventually get tired of endless open world games, and nintendo will probably respond appropriately to that
There are cats in Minish Cap, Triforce Heroes and Mittens in Oracle of Seasons too.

Or having to constantly refresh learned echoes and having to go halfway around the map to get the one you need whenever you unlearn it to fit new ones.

The style for the sea zora shown here have been used as fresh water zora a few times now. Including BOTW and TOTK if I’m not mistaken
I felt comfortable in BotW almost immediately, it took 10+ hours in TotK before I felt I had an idea of what I was doing. I mistakenly went off on my own instead of following the game hints on what I should do.
This game looks great! REALLY love the deku, different zora’s, traversing on horse and fast travel, and really looks polished! Side quests, the idea of a “dark world”, smoothies, bro sign me up!! Day 1 pick up 100% 😊😊
Faron isn't very new. It was in twilight princess in 2006...

6:00 The last time we've seen both types of Zora in one game was Oracle of Ages, which is where the convention of "River Zora" and "Sea Zora" came from (because the OOT Zora did, in fact, live at the source of Zora's River lol)
First trailer we saw the River and Sea Zora having a rather heated meeting. In this trailer we see the Gerudo meeting with what I assume to be someone from the Zuna tribe (first and only appearance in Four Sword Adventures).
Will we see some kind of meeting or confrontation between the Kokiri/Koroks and the Deku Scrubs?
The main gameplay loop still doesn’t click with me but the newer details they shared do give me a bit more hope

I am really hoping that there’s some sort of mention in the main quest about finding and saving Link, because so far they have not shown any mention of link while in comparison, the overall objective has always been to find and save Zelda. My heart hurts just give me confirmation that Zelda actually wants to save Link as much as he wants to save her😭😭

I like how this game is looking so far, but actually isn't fond of BotW and is glad this isn't copying it all that much.
I hope the BOTW menus will be a mainstay to future Zelda games (sorry about my trigger take, call me a Zelda noob if you want)
not disagreeing because i think ur take is bad by any means, but i kinda miss the unique UI from the older Zeldas. felt that way when they remade Wind Waker and Twilight Princess and again with this new standardized minimalist take on the UI post-BOTW. I liked the detailing in the TOTK UI a lot though, great middle ground
Why? BotW menus really feel soulless compared to the menus in previous Zelda games.

When picmin 4 trailers came out, I was like, “this is like totk, but re-skinned.” I’m really digging the (switch) link awakening feel of this.
Soon as i saw the first trailer i thought it was like the 2d breath of the wild. Now it looks like a 2d botw and totk
that title is a sign of hope. I wouldn't mind a small size like Links awakening but it looks like they took the new Links awakening and the cool stuff of TOTK and BOTW.

You know Twilight Princess had a lot of cats. In Ordon village and Castle Town at least.
Why were sea zoras living in fresh water in OoT? RL salt water crocodiles can handle both salt and fresh water. Either sea zoras are like crocs or they can acclimate to living in either environment. River zoras are likely strict fresh water organisms and don't do well in stagnant water

I’m so pumped about this. My 6 year old daughter has been trying to play Tears of the Kingdom, and she loves it, but between the 3D stuff and the combat, it’s a bit too much for her. This looks so much more doable, and she can play as Zelda. Day one purchase. 😍
In Ocarina of time the Zora’s lived in a Lake that could have been a salt water lake.
Does anyone else think it’s possible we’re getting some kind of coop now that Zelda is playable? I noticed on the eshop under number of players it says (single system) not single player EDIT: never mind all the single player games say that
I'm curious about the performance. Link's Awakening had some poor framerate.

I think they should stear clear of traditional weapons. I like the idea that Zelda is just as powerful as link, but in a different way.
I think that the Breath of the wild formula works really well for the Zelda series
Breath of the Wild formula is hardly even Zelda anymore. Why do they even have to follow a strict formula in the first place. The reason Breath of the Wild was made was because people felt the old formula was getting repetitive, but all they did was just replace it with a different formula.

13 year old me is happy about this game. 40 year old me is excited to play this with my kids. Not sure if this is a day one purchase or a Christmas present.
So far not getting it. But if we see a trailer with actual dungeons and story telling that isnt flashbacks its a instant day one.

Im excited for this game but I hope it isn’t TOO similar to Botw and Totk. I’ve mentioned this before but people complained about linear Zelda being stale bc all of the games were similar, and that pattern seems to be continuing for open Zelda with the games being quite similar

If this game is successful it’s kinda unlikely that old Zelda will be brought back, at least within the next twenty years, especially considering Aonuma’s very open stance that the new formula is simply successful. Who knows, but that’s my guess

The fact that they thought that as soon as nintendo made a top down Zelda again it would be a traditional is so funny, Aonuma and the whole Zelda team has showed how much they prefer to have freedom in making the games, this freedom is gonna last.
I honestly don't get it. I mean Ocarina of Time is still my favorite Zelda game, but by the time we got to Skyward Sword I was starting to get that 'New' Super Mario Bros. feeling from the Zelda games.
The new mechanics are amazing, even if some things in Botw and Totk could have used quite a lot more work and refining (mostly the actual game content, not the mechanics themselves)
