The sour grape put out by one coach "you're just dj-ing, am I wrong?" - was actually the best push to get Kelly to see the immediate problem of closed minded people who aren't real artists. She got him singing over his own loops for all the doubters to hear the "music" and the "voice". That young man has more talent and intellect than I have ever seen in any competitor on any of these shows globally. I am glad he won.

Sam’s talent is incredible and during the knockouts when George said he “wasn’t really a singer” u have to realize not only is everything he does is made by his voice, his regular voice when he sings has a incredibly rare tone. Also respect to Sam and Kelly with dealing with all the hate, I love looping so much!!!
Take away the looping, the beatboxing and the tech, and Sam *still* has a powerful rock voice and an operatic falsetto, and a nice tone. That's more than many people who might be singers, but aren't really artists.
Boy George was pissed at the end..... Hahahaaa. I'm so glad Sam picked Kelly. George always seems to think everything is about him, because he is trying to stay relevant. He had his 5-minutes of fame, but for some odd reason he cant realize that when someone else is in line. Kelly did Sam justice..... I heard that they have been best friends since this show.
Never bloody heard a DJ sing like that Geeorge. He is just so far beyond just a singer. He puts everything of himself into what he does. The range of his voice and his own accompaniment is just totally insane. Along with all that, he is such a likeable man and so down to earth. He totally deserved that win.
Agreed- the show is called “The Voice” George. The amount of talent and focus to think of, produce and mix all that LIVE is amazing. His ability to reinterpret songs was refreshing rather than constantly hearing the same versions again and again.
Here’s how ridiculous George is. I first saw looping when ED freaking SHEERAN did it during a televised celebration of Stevie Wonder. Ed was a guest artist who demonstrated the reimagined way to do what Stevie did playing all the instruments on some of his recordings. And we know 2 things. Stevie can sing and Stevie is no DJ! We also know Ed can sing and did sing while looping that night. Finally, George was just upset that he knew his prediction would come true. Sam and Kelly made him look foolish!
To counter point some of the ans here.... Maybe, George thought Sam was underperforming by spending too.kuch time buding the beat and base of the song instead of outright singing. And, because he knew Sam could do better, decided to light a fire under his ass by being a total dick. And hoping Sam would actually react positively. Wich he did, with the support from Kelly.
The only person to ever literally embody 'the voice' this is untouchable and won't ever be topped on this show! Hands down the greatest performances I have ever seen from a CONTESTANT! NO ONE is topping this! Sorry in advance!
The fact that both finalist are from Kelly’s team show how much of a sensational mentor and coach kelly really is ! ❤️ Mad respect to her for believing in Sam since day 1
You know an artist is good and video is gone when you can easily watch 35+ minutes without stopping, or looking at the comments. This was art. Great music. Great interpretation. Beautiful vision and execution. Brilliant talent, energy, and overall captivating.
Sam would literally body any other artist on the show. His breath control, vocal range and overall stamina is out of this world. Damn just listen to his rendition of Michael Jackson's song. He's incredible.
Sam's face when Kelly gave him Bohemian rhapsody. Even better than when she gave him survivor. But damn that woman knows what she's doing. All his performances came out amazing
He can sing anything thrown to him. He has a talent that not too many people have. He is at genius level. When I stop and Really pay attention to everything he is doing my mind explodes 🥰
@@stilldimm4110 mmmm the thing is, that saro isnt really a singer, his vocal skill is impressive, but saro is more the drop guy, you know? Gene would be a nice pick!
I loved how she really pushed him to stretch his repertoire but still kept his unique style. I wouldn’t necessarily imagined them together but they truly inspired each other I think.
Many people said “He is not a Singer” “He dont deserve to win” things like that, I was like “Bit*h??? He is doing this with his own freakin voice!! How???” He is so amazing. The collab with Kelly was just Tremendous❤️🔥
The thing that many think "he's not a singer" is because he is adjusting his voice to how he needs to sound at any given moment. I'm not saying he isn't good, just that he is applying technology to enhance his voice as needed singing "Live". Much like what happens in a recording studio. While the others are very limited(in a tech aspect) during a "live" performance relying mostly on their vocals. The voice is in control of what is fair and what isn't. They make the rules.
@@p.s.4201 But other then the beats, was he changing his singing voice. I would like to see him just sing to put it to rest if he is really that good of a singer of if the tech is helping. But in the grand scheme of thing, there are so many artist the sound like S* unless they have the reverbe or auto-tune. Sam has an amazing talent, to be able to loop so that the sound mix correct is crazy.
@@p.s.4201 he actually only uses reverb on the opera recordings. the rest is all his voice. He know adding effects would be not the sense of the voice^^. The singing is all by himself, always was.
Loved that Kelly kept pushing him out of his comfort level and made him better for it. Would love to see more of him and AP very much an oil and water mix but it works like a perfect 50/50 mesh up.
Kelly was really the best coach for Sam. She helped him to show his great talent. She empowered him so that he could learn to trust himself. He got the best out of himself - and won!
The performance with AP is one of the best collabs in music history. For Kelly to see how this could be is incredible. I come back to this at least once a month it's amazing. Both of these guys were game and seemed like they loved singing together. Too bad one had to go home.
Im 10 months late but AP was a wildcard. Kelly pressed her button to nominate him as a wild card and he won it. Unfortunately he was eliminated before semi finals😢
Kelly showed what a great coach can do - she took him from a what was a good, entertaining act that was seen as a bit of a novelty to a true well rounded performer. He’s really pushing the envelope and experimental. A true artist- so humble and reserved and then when he’s performing he just blossoms- he works so hard to give 110% every time. The sheer amount of focus and effort his performances must take is simply astounding. Bohemian Rhapsody was tour de force. The fact he gives a totally fresh interpretation of songs was impressive. George complaining was like the equivalent of when ppl used to say oh “rap” isn’t really music and now look.
He's not just a looper - I LOVE his voice!! It's so unique and haunting. And I have so much respect for Kelly - she is such a great talent herself and brings out the best in others.
As a DJ myself, I have to question Boy George's intelligence both musically and in general with his completely off the wall commentary. How in the world could he simply reduce the voice looping to the equivalent of just DJing?!?!? 99% of the world could DJ. 99% of the world could not do what Sam does.
Boy George has been dining out of Karma Chameleon all his life, he's a one hit wonder who likes to kidnap rent boys and chain them up against their will so they can't escape. That's what he went to jail for.
Because voice looping is not new. DJs have been doing it for decades with MCs. It just was before its time since technology was not advance as it is now to provide the quality of what you hear now. So as a DJ Boy George has seen it only as DJing
Because Boy George loved what he did when he had the chance to get him on his team, and the second the attention shifted his instinct was to try to put the man down
Forgot how he downplayed denzel for rapping his own songs? And then when he finally did another artists to rap he saw the difference in quality of rap and tones Lol but don't forget he called boy George out for the beer his father bought him years ago🤣🤣🤣 he symuper pressed and holding a grudge for calling him out haha some man had him in heart over a beer and made sure to get his revenge through his son 20, 30 years later 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This didn't just make me a Sam fan, it made me a Kelly fan. She didn't make it easy on him. No doubt in my mind he was the most talented of the season, but I think he won because she was exactly the right coach to get him through. Plus, her performance in 'They Don't Care About Us' reminded the world of who she really is.
The pairing of Kelly and Sam was destiny. Kelly remained true to embracing Sam's natural given talent and allowed him to persue extraordinary musical triumphs in his own right. Brilliant, masterful, creative genius on both their endeavors. BRAVO
He’s not only talented with looping but he actually has an amazing singing voice. It’s very unique and he can do a lot with it. Don’t know what boy George was talking about with him not singing.
Watching this show I have actually started to dislike George alot! And thats sad since he was such a marvel in my era. Still love his lyrics. But he is so sour!!

Check out his work he's amazing. He does a combo of gangsters paradise and surviver. Beat boxing is so awesome. I'm glad they finally had someone on voice
WOW! Kelly did an amazing job with Sam. She encouraged him to be himself and defended him amongst all the chaos. Sam has such a beautiful voice and an amazing talent. Way to go Sam 🎉 I hope all of your dreams come true ❤ What a gem.
Sympathy for the Devil song was absolutely amazing. These two performers were so perfect together, they should actually go on tour together. I'm Irish, and I'd definitely pay good money to go watch them perform together on stage. One superb performance 👏👌
Sam wasn't at all scared of sharing the stage, he even hyped up opponent shouting, "Sing it AP!!!" Just making badass music on the fly and I wishing it could go longer.
He’s a genius, you know grimes is a looping artist too and I can’t tell you how crazy it is to see someone sing and mix live. Sam has an amazing voice I hope he goes far in life, there is a huge market for it. I loved all his remixes.
Sam is fantastic. I don’t understand the controversy. Yes he looped parts but he used his voice to create the parts instead of using an instrument. If people can use instruments why can’t he use his voice and loop it to make the music? Since he was using his voice for the looping parts, I don’t have a problem with it. Plus he was singing with the sounds he created. I would pay to see him perform live! Awesome.
That bohemian rhapsody gave me chills. I knew exactly what song it was when he said no looper would attempt this song. I was nervous he wouldn't pull it off, but he brought new life into it. What an amazing talent this guy has. 👏👏👏
I hope everyone caught the "SING IT AP" during the battle because thats how you knew it was more of a collab that a battle 😁😁. IT WAS TOO FUCKING GOOD!!!
Watched this 5 or 6 times throughout one day. The blind audition gave me the chills. Dude is badass. Skilled, creative, versatile, & has a great voice as well. Wish he was signed to a record label so I could get more of his music and/or listen to him on Pandora.
That 'Sympathy for the Devil' battle was in my book not a battle, it was really a great performance done by two great performance artists, both way out of their comfort zone. Everybody would have paid to go to a concert with these two great musicians. Sam demonstrated that when you raise someone else you raise yourself. In the performance with Kelly she really gave it her all, what a performance artist. I actually find him best when he is together with someone else. He would have a fantastic future if he paired up with another super gifted artist
boy george said whoever sam chose as a coach would be the winner, but that was bullshit cause sam needed someone who let him do him and be him. no one could do it like kelly: she is THE coach, and sam's performances are absolutetly stunning as they are. he grew to be more like himself, which is something i can't explain man... just watch the journey, it speaks for itself. so shout out to both of them!! what an amazing team
This man right here, is the whole reason I started my journey in loopstation music myself, if I ever get the chance to meet him in person, I want to thank him for helping me find my place as a musician. Absolutely love this man’s work and I hope he never stops doing what he does. So much love from a fellow Aussie, Sam, I hope someday I can thank you in person
Not just to be contrary but I suspect George coyld have been a very good coach for Sam. I feel like George was actually jealous/conflicted re: Sam. His background and experience would have been a benefit to Sam. I sensed regret from Boy George.
I know this is re-release but this one journey is worth watching over and over. I love the way he feels his way through the music and what comes out at the end.
So entertaining. As a musician, I'm not wowed easily any more these days, but every single song delivered. And that flawless timing from Sam was off the charts.
Yes she was so supportive and took him very serious. I wanted from the start for him to pick her. George seemed underwhelmed. Delta was very excited about the novelty but I just got the feeling Kelly would be a special fit for him as a coach.
I literally guessed that he was gonna do bohemian rhapsody because, he said this switches key and tempo. Then Kelly said it has hints of opera, and I just knew it was Queen.
Does anyone acknowledge Kelly's part in his victory. She is such a great mentor. I bet if it was George or Delta he wouldn't make it through. Her song picks were spot on
Imagine making songs like this, he is composing, performing, mixing and producing at the same time. To do what he does takes great skill, talent and an amazing reach and control over his voice. He has a great future in front of him, thanks to Kelly who pushed him even further, taking him out of his comfortzone. If another great mind believes in you, and pushes you, the sky is the limit, dare to be yourself. Kelly knocked it out of the park, as did Sam. Respect. Can't even choose his best performance
This is amazing. He is soooo talented. That song from nirvana. That was the one for me. Opera and all.. and then the STOP at the end.. wow. The way he was growing in that contest... so fast, so good...and his voice. Thay boy can sing! And he has to combine it all, push those buttons, think and sing at the same time. Now THAT is an artist. For me, he deserved to win that show.
I keep re-watching the Sam vs AP moment - it’s SO good. Sam loves having AP on stage w/him & he’s having so much fun it is intoxicating. At the breakdown you see how much work Sam does to speed up the song & it’s mind blowing. AP has issues hearing himself - but Sam reassures him the entire time. This is the most wholesome, badass- video from the Voice, let’s be honest. 🤷♀️
You really need to check out a guy called Beardyman. This guy is clearly talented but he's just the first to do it on such a large platform. I also recommend watching Beardyman and Harry Mack (improvised rap), where they both put on a show that's completely unwritten.
The right choice. He is a superstar. Literally like they said, he was a game changer because everything is his own voice. Like he said he is every part. He has an incredible range on top of being able to beatbox and make instrument noises with his own vocal chords. Incredible talented and showstopping.
This was the most hypnotic and supernatural performance I've seen in the Voice. There he just blow it away to a new whole universe!! What a godly talent SAM!!! Kelly you are a visionary! Good on yah both
This was more like watching them teach each other and collab rather than just her coaching. Kelly is the absolute best and clearly so talented!!!! And them together was dynamic. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
So interesting watching Sam’s talent evolve. He’s an incredibly creative performance artist. So fortunate to have technology to watch from the other side of the planet.

I would love to AP and Sam continue to collaborate! They were so amazing together. Been watching these shows, globally, since the very first American Idol and this battle (AP v Sam) is my number one of all time!
How exciting to have someone whos truly a performer and so so creative and beyond gifted at what they do. Thank you for celebrating Sam's true uniqueness! Such a pleasure to watch, and be a part of. It felt like a concert the whole time!
After ALL this time Sam Perry is STILL the BEST looping artist ever, on any Voice competition. He can loop and sing...the other loopers can't sing but Sam's voice is like an angel's voice and the gift he has of looping just enhances it. 🔥 This is especially true in light of him having a serious infection and chest sickness during the last half of the competition...singing most of his songs sick....just wow.
Absolutely phenomenal cutting-edge future of music. He’s genius being able to assess exactly what needs to be arranged, and a great voice in the bargain. Bravissimo 👍🏻
I was screaming "CHOOSE KELLY" at the blind auditions part, because I felt like with HER eclectic music collaborations, she would REALLY be able to see the BIGGER PICTURE, where it's not just about his SINGING voice, but the entire performance aspect of it. ALSO, out of ALL of them, she's MOST used to CRAZY, BIG stages and OTT performances, which, for an artist like Sam, is integral for keeping the audience excited EACH time. Sam with Kelly's mentorship and encouragement was REALLY able to flourish, because he didn't have ANY confidence in his ability at the start. Probably from ignorant nonsense like Boy George's assertions about him somehow NOT being a singer, but a dj, WHEN he doesn't even have instrumental backing like the other contestants do. He was doing it all WITH HIS VOICE. Weird, that an alternative musician, who wears floral ensembles with eyeliner, is somehow the ONE person who can't EMBRACE another artist's uniqueness and learn from him. He wanted to get Sam on HIS team too. So does that mean he was going to try and squish Sam into what he thinks fits the show, instead of learning from Sam and teaching him some things, to create a great collaboration? This is why Kelly was THE VERY BEST mentor/coach Sam could have had. He probably would have been cut in the BEGINNING STAGES, from the OTHER coaches' teams, after they realised he can't fit what THEY want to do. Then he'd have been a quirky footnote for the season, that no one remembered. Which gas happened to some OTHER unique artists on the show. Good on him for being smart and actually LISTENING to what they were each saying, after his blind audition. The others were already talking about trying to make HIM fit into mainstream pop music etc. And KELLY was the one who said I want you to stay YOU. Clever that he latched onto that and chose HER. BEST. TEAM. EVER. I hope he becomes, like, David Guetta famous (less mainstream sounding of course) and makes music for us to buy for MANY years to come. This guy is the future ❤❤❤
Perfectly put - I’m so glad rather than push him to fit conventional songs she ENJOYED the process of getting the songs to make the most of his talent. I’m sure she enjoyed the journey too.

And something in me tells me that he absolutely will go further and higher up!
@@DBLCreationsprobably wanted EDM or dubstep 😂
Sam’s talent is incredible and during the knockouts when George said he “wasn’t really a singer” u have to realize not only is everything he does is made by his voice, his regular voice when he sings has a incredibly rare tone. Also respect to Sam and Kelly with dealing with all the hate, I love looping so much!!!
he was right, he isnt really a mere singer, he is so much more :) this is art
I think George was just jealous he didn’t get Sam as a member of his team and try to think of some reason to discredit him lol
@@WindriderProdutions So true
Take away the looping, the beatboxing and the tech, and Sam *still* has a powerful rock voice and an operatic falsetto, and a nice tone. That's more than many people who might be singers, but aren't really artists.
Kelly has an extensive experience with working with DJs. Hence, she understands Sam. Love their partnership.
Kelly really did justice to his potential. Damn he's AMAZING!!!
She really did. When he said the final song was for her, I felt that to my core. He knew what she did for him and indeed praised her.
Boy George was pissed at the end..... Hahahaaa. I'm so glad Sam picked Kelly. George always seems to think everything is about him,
because he is trying to stay relevant. He had his 5-minutes of fame, but for some odd reason he cant realize that when someone else is in line.
Kelly did Sam justice..... I heard that they have been best friends since this show.
Yes, she was perfect. A huge talent and Great coach.
From the start kelly said u will win if u with me
I thought the same thing! She was perfect for him!
BG was just salty as cos he knew Sam was going to win and he wasn't on his team. He called it on the blinds. ;)
That ain’t a DJ buddy Looping is sth completely different and if that is making you crazy u should watch Beatbox LoopStation stuff
The "Sympathy for the Devil" duett was pure art and should go into the charts with both of them togehter.
YESS!!! it was absolutely amazing, phenomenal
That Sam and Kelly duo was a freakin' concert, I'd pay for a show like that what a treat.
The only person to ever literally embody 'the voice' this is untouchable and won't ever be topped on this show! Hands down the greatest performances I have ever seen from a CONTESTANT! NO ONE is topping this! Sorry in advance!
You can tell Sam was having a ball when him an AP did their thing... Chilling
100*/: 💯
The fact that both finalist are from Kelly’s team show how much of a sensational mentor and coach kelly really is ! ❤️ Mad respect to her for believing in Sam since day 1
Hell,Did you NOTICE that when she was picked,She was acting so grateful...PLUS She was SO WARM....Kelly is AWESOME,man!
You know an artist is good and video is gone when you can easily watch 35+ minutes without stopping, or looking at the comments. This was art. Great music. Great interpretation. Beautiful vision and execution. Brilliant talent, energy, and overall captivating.

He was already a master composer. She gave him a stage to show it. I am in awe of him
Master composer, yes love it
Sam would literally body any other artist on the show.
That's because she knows her artist. She whole heartedly is invested in making the be the best version of themselves 👏🏾❤
She only cared.ablut Sam no one else

If THE VOICE is a competition about the sound that comes from the mouth, then I'm yet to see anyone better than Sam Perry
mb14 is pretty good aswell
He can sing anything thrown to him. He has a talent that not too many people have. He is at genius level. When I stop and Really pay attention to everything he is doing my mind explodes 🥰

Kelly has a great gift for choosing the right songs. That’s what makes her a great coach
Yeah, helped him realize how far out of different music genres he can do that he would never attempted because the difficulty and pulled it off.
@@someonecares9910 agree. She said, here. Now do your thing. And he did… and it was great.
I loved how she really pushed him to stretch his repertoire but still kept his unique style. I wouldn’t necessarily imagined them together but they truly inspired each other I think.
I have never seen anything like this in my entire life 😩😩😩🎙
I've seen much that whoever picks Kelly wins the show. And so my respect for Kelly grew more and more.😍♥️
Many people said “He is not a Singer” “He dont deserve to win” things like that,
I was like “Bit*h??? He is doing this with his own freakin voice!! How???”
He is so amazing. The collab with Kelly was just Tremendous❤️🔥
Why people saying that? He literally sang a song.
Meh, I guess that was producers in the back scripting drama, and BG was the one to play the critical judge :)
As a person who did amateur lighting, I can guarantee they were living for his performaces.
That's awesome!!
Omg ikr they be going all out club meshed with classic styled light up and it was amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thanks to Kelly for always making work with his own style.
I respect her for letting his artistry shine.
You can see just how impressed she is with his range and abilities. I bet they had so much fun working together. She gets him. And i am so on board!
She recognised that he’s a true artist who is totally passionate about making music over fame and fortune.
Sympathy For the devil had me shook. The energy of the song was so amazing. I wish i was there!!
I agree. When she told them the song I thought “I she crazy?” But she wasn’t.
In my opinion, they don't really collab well, it's like two pieces that can't fit in any way
Kelly showed what a great coach can do - she took him from a what was a good, entertaining act that was seen as a bit of a novelty to a true well rounded performer.
I do not go to live music events but I would pay good money to see this kid if the opportunity came up
Totally same.
Definitely agree… worth going out… for once.
He was also a shit house DJ who was only a DJ because of his name.
And then when he finally did another artists to rap he saw the difference in quality of rap and tones
Lol but don't forget he called boy George out for the beer his father bought him years ago🤣🤣🤣 he symuper pressed and holding a grudge for calling him out haha some man had him in heart over a beer and made sure to get his revenge through his son 20, 30 years later 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The biggest problem with that duo was that it just wasn't long enough, I'd love to hear them do a full length version of that.
Wow, Sam's talent is more than most would ever realize, but highly rewarded in the end. Awesome performances.
Man you have no idea how big the beatbox/loop station industry is, everyone in the beatbox industry would appreciate what he did
Pp
The pairing of Kelly and Sam was destiny. Kelly remained true to embracing Sam's natural given talent and allowed him to persue extraordinary musical triumphs in his own right. Brilliant, masterful, creative genius on both their endeavors. BRAVO
You could say Sam is destiny's child 🙃
He’s not only talented with looping but he actually has an amazing singing voice. It’s very unique and he can do a lot with it. Don’t know what boy George was talking about with him not singing.
I think was just upset he didn’t get Sam.
George was just being a pissy queen. Lol
Watching this show I have actually started to dislike George alot! And thats sad since he was such a marvel in my era. Still love his lyrics. But he is so sour!!
I think B.George couldn't fathom how great Sam is! Lol, maybe a little jealousy? Lol
@@bunnytail1370 I agree because they both on the same similar path with the dj/ loop thing and Sam is getting all the Recognition for what George does for living.
The looping is soooo amazing but let's forget about that for a second. THIS MAN'S VOICE BRUH. His voice is so awesome, everytime the beat drops, his voice comes on so suddenly, I get goosebumps. Look at me jumping on my bed like wth. I'm obsessed with everything he does🔥🔥🔥
Kelly has such an enormous heart. She truly cares about everyone of her team mates, every single year. I love her. She’s an awesome coach.
When he chose kelly I felt like that was the best decision there was. She really did fulfill her promise by letting sam do his thing
She really brought out the best in Denzel the following year as well
The duet is outstanding. Genius. His voice shined in last song
I said “30+ minutes? I’ll just watch a bit to see what this is about.” Sat down and watched the whole damn thing. I’ve seen this done before, but it was cool to see it on such a big platform!
Hahahah same as I did
Same! I said I'd go really sleep about 30mins ago
Same! Don’t watch the Voice and never had heard of this performer but his style is right in my wheelhouse. Thanks algorithm!

Check out his work he's amazing. He does a combo of gangsters paradise and surviver. Beat boxing is so awesome. I'm glad they finally had someone on voice
This guy can do it ALL! From opera, screamo, rap, and looping?! What a talent. Incredible voice too! Love the rasp
I myself didn't think the song would sound right. BUT IT SOUNDED BETTER! That's when you know they are artists! It was a shock. Really great!
Sam wasn't at all scared of sharing the stage, he even hyped up opponent shouting, "Sing it AP!!!" Just making badass music on the fly and I wishing it could go longer.
@@eddieyan3017 it looked like Sam had so much fun with that one. They should definitely do a show together.
He’s a genius, you know grimes is a looping artist too and I can’t tell you how crazy it is to see someone sing and mix live. Sam has an amazing voice I hope he goes far in life, there is a huge market for it. I loved all his remixes.
This guy was so freaking awesome. When he performs it's a whole damn concert.
I love the way he just got more confidence every time and the way Kelly were there for him, incredible
Wow, he did set a standard
All thanks to Coach Kelly, she gat my respect and love
Sam is fantastic. I don’t understand the controversy. Yes he looped parts but he used his voice to create the parts instead of using an instrument. If people can use instruments why can’t he use his voice and loop it to make the music? Since he was using his voice for the looping parts, I don’t have a problem with it. Plus he was singing with the sounds he created. I would pay to see him perform live! Awesome.
Yeah this kind of stuff is the best you get from a voice.
I could understand if he used prerecorded loops that it would be unfair but he's just creating this on stage!
I think it's because there wasn't much traditional singing
That bohemian rhapsody gave me chills. I knew exactly what song it was when he said no looper would attempt this song. I was nervous he wouldn't pull it off, but he brought new life into it. What an amazing talent this guy has. 👏👏👏
I hope everyone caught the "SING IT AP" during the battle because thats how you knew it was more of a collab that a battle 😁😁. IT WAS TOO FUCKING GOOD!!!
Yeah man!
He was in complete control from the start, then he brought AP, and everyone else up 5 notches with "Sing it AP"
He's FANTASTIC at everything!!!
I never would have imagined those two together, but it was so awesome! 😍
I'll be shocked if Sam doesn't become a superstar and Kelly was beyond incredible with her coaching. I loved their performance together.
boy george said whoever sam chose as a coach would be the winner, but that was bullshit cause sam needed someone who let him do him and be him. no one could do it like kelly: she is THE coach, and sam's performances are absolutetly stunning as they are. he grew to be more like himself, which is something i can't explain man... just watch the journey, it speaks for itself. so shout out to both of them!! what an amazing team
his vocal dexterity is off the chain. from the super fast beats to the high operatic notes to the screaming all in one song - just damn, dude.
Kelly and Sam did an amazing job and were a perfect match for this competition! 👏
Not to mention the way he lives each song viscerally.
Kelly was the best coach for him hands down! The other coaches would've fu¢ked it up for him.
I agree
I can't really know.
apart from george they’d all have done at least a decent job
Not just to be contrary but I suspect George coyld have been a very good coach for Sam. I feel like George was actually jealous/conflicted re: Sam. His background and experience would have been a benefit to Sam.
I sensed regret from Boy George.
Fucked it up big time!!! Thank god he picked Kelly!!! Do U coach!
I know this is re-release but this one journey is worth watching over and over. I love the way he feels his way through the music and what comes out at the end.
It's my new favorite. Going to cast it to my new 55" TV and BLAST the roof off my house!!
So entertaining. As a musician, I'm not wowed easily any more these days, but every single song delivered. And that flawless timing from Sam was off the charts.
Kelly was the perfect choice for his sound. That was a masterclass from both of them, what a team.
Yep. Lolz. QUEEN with the crazy musical arrangements, man.🤷🏾♀️😂
Does anyone acknowledge Kelly's part in his victory.
His vocal range is insane! And not just the range... the different types. From angelic to demonic and back. And he had a great voice!
Never heard anything like him LIVE!!! That's LIVE Looping at it's very finest. Picked the right coach and built from there!
You better look for mb14
You really need to check out a guy called Beardyman. This guy is clearly talented but he's just the first to do it on such a large platform.
I also recommend watching Beardyman and Harry Mack (improvised rap), where they both put on a show that's completely unwritten.
The coaches were right. This is a game changer in music. Brilliant ! I want to see this guy live ! Great coaching Kelly!
I felt like they were learning and growing together- she focused on getting the most out of his talent.
Sam and Ap should be a band. Omg they are amazing together!!
"Controversy happen! who cares? You know you got to be dope when they talking about you." FACTS!
i like how his setup for when doves cry felt like its own performance. then when it was put together it was amazing
I cannot explain how perfect this dudes track record is.
Every. Single. Performance.
Was a pure masterpiece of music.
Bohemian Rhapsody??? HOW?
The man knows his stuff and has a voice that kicks ass, too. Love it!
So interesting watching Sam’s talent evolve. He’s an incredibly creative performance artist. So fortunate to have technology to watch from the other side of the planet.

@@fybromon1409 yeah I thought the same. They actually really enjoyed that collaboration. You could tell and Sam was lifting him up, it was like a concert not even a competition. Amazing

I would love to AP and Sam continue to collaborate! They were so amazing together.
Been watching these shows, globally, since the very first American Idol and this battle (AP v Sam) is my number one of all time!
“Sympathy for the Devil” - ON REPEAT 🔁
It really doesn’t feel like a battle. They are just feeling the vibe! Wow!
TLDR
I agree with what you said about Boy George being so closed minded
The skill set for looping, is just ridiculous. He is so good its crazy.
The guy is amazing, no doubts. But the real magician here is Kelly. This is the perfect example of an amazing escalating trip right to the top, based on talent, maturity and the amazing class Kelly proved to have! Hats off!
