Glad u did a nice long video. I love when U show all that needs to go into getting an aquarium ready. Not a short broken down video. Thanks Dev. U know how to do this!!!💪🏾💪🏾💯💯💯💯🙏🏾
As usual your builds are super clean and well thought out. You will love the Kalk reactor. There is something in me that loves seeing new setups and this video helped with that so thank you! 👍😁
Very clean set up Dev. Everything flows. You can tell you’ve spent the time planning this build from the piping to to the sump set up as well as lighting & flow. Great job bud..
Fantastic looking tank. Purple pipe is cool. One thing I would have done is plumb the main drain to the most forward hole in the overflow. That would put the filter roller, gate valve and drain up front. Easier to reach since these will be the maintenance items on the drainage system. Hard to tell from the video but the trickle looks just a bit high. I like mine just below the weir so there is a bit of a dropoff.
I have the skimmer infront of the roller which i willc lean more often so that was my logic! but if it is a pain to clean i can alwyas swap it later :) The trickle is just a smide lower than the weir.. i may lower it a bit more later but so far its working well!
@@ReefDudes Thanks for the quick reply. I had totally forgot you were putting the skimmer in that chamber too! Makes sense now. Will you have any fish in this?
Love this build Devin! I'm actually considering a peninsula tank with similar measurements for my next system, but as a display tank. Can't get enough of that top-down view 😅 Looking forward to a deep dive in coral propagation!! Keep it up 👌👌
@@ReefDudes btw, just started trying out co2-remover on the skimmer. Boosted pH by 0.3 and had to increase balling with +25%! Maybe not a long term solution though, but will be interesting to see your effect with a kalk reactor 👍
I like the straight up bean animal mod. No elbows. I’ve been running my display like that for 6 months and never had issues. Actually find it restarts just a few seconds quicker too. I’m about to plumb a lowboy50 unto my display system as a grow out. When I move, in around a year, I’ll be adding a dedicated independent frag system for archive/ duplication.
Yep, split off one plug to multiple adapters. I like to group like items so all lights on one plug, powerheads on one. ect. 2 way splitter geni.us/2xsplitter 4 way splitter geni.us/x4splitter 6 way splitter geni.us/x6splitter
You can paint. If I was to I would use Kryon plastic fusion. Let it fully cure. Stuff out of water should hold up fine. Pipe in water needs a touch up after a year or so in saltwater. So buying actual color pipe has the advantage of not chipping and no long term issue in saltwater. In Canada reefpvc. In US. bRS
Great video. You're right aquacultured corals are the future of the hobby and the hobbyist at home will play a big part. Great idea to have a series
Thank you! I think it will be awesome to help more people propagate to trade and help the hobby support it self :)

Your most welcome! Glad you liked it and thanks!!!
Beautiful setup! Can’t wait to see how you like the Kalk reactor
Thanks! I’m excited to try it and to see good things from the magic of PH boosting :)
Your frag tank is already so much nicer than my display 👍
Hehe thank you. I have been planning this one for ages

Happy to help! A new build is half the fun!
Really awesome frag tank dev can't wait to see it in action !!
Thanks Jeff! It’s been in the planning stages for ages. Stoked to finally make it happen
Great video starting a frag tank of my own. Can’t wait to see some aquaculture and dragging videos

Thanks buds! slowly but surely getting there!
I like were you are going with the aquaculture. Looking forward to the progress of this tank.
Thanks lee! I’m exited to dive into a new chapter
Beautiful tank and stand. The packaging looks like its from concept
Thank you! they do an excellent job
The tank is looking awesome Devin!!! Love the purple plumbing you went with! Purple is my favorite color and it’s also the color of Royalty!!! Lol!!
hehe Royal frag tank! Thanks @bobccat's reef!
ReefDudes no problem buddy!! Can’t wait to see it all set up!!
Reef Dudes in the Houseeeee with another great video! And a very nice setup! Keep em coming Devin! Can’t wait to see more!
Thanks so much Aquatic_Reef_Guru!
Great video. I never thought of Velcro the power blocks on the underside of the tank board like you did. Awesome
Perfect spot to hide them and keep them tucked up out of the way

@@johnVidBozo Yep, everything from the lagoon tank will be moving into this tank soon. I moved in most of the zoas today. slowly but surely!
@@johnVidBozo Yep, all the fish from my lagoon tank will be moving in as im shutting down that tank once its all moved.
Great build, can't wait to see what amazing corals you get going in there.
Thank you!
Love it Deven!
Thanks Ryan!
Looking good Deven 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Another good video. Just subscribed to follow this tank👍
Thank you and welcome to the channel!
YES! 👍✔🌼🌼 this is what i needed, love the narrating and easy phase. Ill sub and follow tihs projeckt.
Thank You 💯✔

I love those top downs too! they are the best! Thx Kimros! :D

Loved the video that frag tank is going to be dope . I actually got a few good ideas off of it for my frag tank ! Keep up the good work dude
Thank you! Love to inspire! :D

Simple and effective! I have done it for a while to.. as long as you have a good gate valve its easy to tune it :)
ReefDudes spears gate valves all the way. Very smooth, very precise.
@@neilphillips3193 100% with you on that one! especially a year or two later! :P
Nice setup Dev please give us the feedback on the Kalk reactor.. look forward to seeing the reviews.
Suuuhhhweettt Excited to watch this journey.... Love the logo on the wall! It's all about the brand :D
Good info and very nice tank!! Sub'd
Happy to help and welcome! :)
Nice setup bro 🔥👌 can't wait when is running 👌
Doesn't the Aluminum profile fixture for the lights sag? it's sooooo long.
Cant wait to see the tank to be jam packed with corals
Yes it does sag slightly. its a good 6' out with multiple fixtures so im really pushing the limits on this one :P
Great vid thinking about a kalk reactor for night time use , trying to think of a way to link to Neptune apex 👍
Could just schedule your doser to only dose it at night. Simplest way.
Neat. Gonna be interesting to follow.👍🏻
Great build. Do you mind provide me with the design of your new sump? I want to order the same one from concept. Thanks
Message me on Instagram or Facebook and I’ll see if I can find it
Deven another excellent video, you make the plumbing look so easy, are you just eying the measurements or do you have a technique that you are using.
I just eye it and estimate. half measure.. but mostly wing it :)
Hey Deven, Great tank. I love it! How many gallons is it?
120-130 ish for the display. thsnks Shawn!
So how was your aluminum readings after the bio brick?
Really curious to hear your thoughts on that Icecap kalk reactor. The tank looks great.
Thanks. I’ll do a review on it after I use it for a few months
Hey where did you get that multi wire adapter for those power bricks!? Looks like a 5 to 1 or something?
Those things are so handy to save outlets!
2 way splitter geni.us/2xsplitter
4 way splitter geni.us/x4splitter
6 way splitter geni.us/x6splitter
What type of paint did you use for the plywood? Water resistant?
I'm not to sure, have used it for a few tank stands now. Ill go take a peak tomorrow for you
Where did you get that adapter for the power bricks? Looks like the connect to one cord and you are only taking up one outlet with them
Yep, split off one plug to multiple adapters. I like to group like items so all lights on one plug, powerheads on one. ect.
2 way splitter geni.us/2xsplitter
4 way splitter geni.us/x4splitter
6 way splitter geni.us/x6splitter
Very nice tank! What are the dimensions? In cm Please? Im watching all your vids. Much love from the Netherlands
Thank you! It’s 228.6x 71x35.5
ReefDudes thank you for the answer. I’m looking forward to this tank journey 💪🏽
super jealous
Purpleicious 😎
Where is cheapest place to get the colored PVC piping? Or can you just spray paint the cheap white stuff
In US. bRS
What overflow do you use? I’m debating between a few different brands
Just a glass box with 3 drains (bean animal style) i had it made with the tank.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What sump is this?
Custom made 4’x2’ one
