Stunning corals love them, found you off the reef dudes chat with Abe. I’ve now subscribed wish I was in Canada to get some frags off you . Thanks for sharing your information on supplementation too 👏👏👏
I've typically been very inconsistent on water changes.. Usually 10-20% once a month, with small changes all the time replacing water from shipping.. Lately I am trying 10% per week though, hoping to drive down DOC numbers
sorry for the late reply! I run the xr15 on the sps system at 100%, with a strong peak for about 5 hours. The bars are on for 11 hours and the radions about 13, but the first and last hour are a pretty slow ramp up/down. T5 for only 2
So cool! What’s the reason for running the SPS and LPS separately rather than running a simple system to save on things like protein skimmers and calcium reactors?
Hey Richard, I run the parameters a little different, but also I like to put certain corals in different tanks, depending on where they are happy. Currently, a lot of my chalices are in the SPS system, in the low light areas and seem happier than in the LPS system; I can't tell you why. I also would not enjoy having hosing across the floor from one tank to another.
Hello friend, I would like to know what PAR you have in the sps and lps tank and if you know how much PAR a single xr15 radion covers with the same dimensions of each of your two tanks and the same height, I would greatly appreciate it if you help me please
Hey, it's hard to saw, since I have such a big combo of lights, I don't usually measure par with just the XR15's... The par in the SPS system is about 500 at peak and 250 towards the lower sides.. The LPS system is 100-250, though I swapped out the middle radions for xr30's recently, so I can keep SPS and some of the light loving torches towards the middle. That area is around 350.
hahah I'm not THAT north. I'm a 3hr ferry ride from Seattle. That said, I use a mini split to heat and cool the room all year long; I don't rely on heaters.
I have built quite a few custom hanging fixtures out of extruded/slotted aluminium.. it’s fairly inexpensive and gives you tons of flexibility. You can either use the sliding bolts and nuts to mount them to it or just zap strap them on. Ecotech mounting system is way over priced in my opinion anyway..
yeah i got the same product plus i m dosing kalwasser my ph still low is bt 7.86 and 8.00. my goal is to keep it at 8. it could image having those tank in garage it's keep you ph low. i had try reverse light cycle with cheto. @@adamsutherland6733
‘This dude’ is based in Canada, where our dollar is .65 vs USD, but I doubt you would have taken a second to look at that before making an ignorant comment. I have a very unique collection, very few people in Canada have and I pride myself in the quality and size of frags for the price.
@fraggarage5922 I definitely took a look and realized you are in Canada. I browsed through your website and saw your laughable prices. 400 hundred bucks for a homewrecker. And that's the small option. I paid 100 bucks for a 1 inch frag a month ago. Bud, don't be, butt hurt that you're a scumbag I'm sure there are a bunch of stupid, uneducated people who will still buy you corals.
got to be top of my go to for info and overall take aways . your top shelf in my book!. I thank you for all your work within the hobby/industry
Great system. Your corals look amazing with great color. Thanks for the tour Adam.
Nice to see the system and video of the corals. Your also quite good talking on camera
Great system. Wish I could get some of that candy. Everything looks great. We'll done.
Amazing color in your systems. Well done.
Thank you!
Love the setup and damn what a coral candy heaven ! Great coloration and growth.

This is wild! 🤯 you have more variety and better growth and color than every reef store in my state combined. Fucking well done sir!! 👏👏
Thanks! I try!
Damn some of the colour is amazing!!!
thanks!
Beautiful system! So many happy corals.
Curious how your maintaining temperature? Any chillers involved?
Thanks for showing
No chillers, just mini split/heat pump to regulate the temp of the room up or down. My heaters don't even have to come on usually..
Thanks for the video!!
What levels of nitrate and phosphate do you maintain?
You feed the coral (amino acids, phyto, reefroids...))??
Thank you
I feed corals Coral Sprint about twice a week, along with a little MinS and maybe some Coral Plankton. Po4 .07-.1, No3 5-10
Wow mate your systems are awesome 🤙🏽
so are your frag tanks a custom build with stand? if so may I ask who build them for you they did a nice job
are the 2, 6x3 frag tanks acrylic? Im looking for a grow tank like that. do you know where i can find one. Awesome corels. Cheers!
I am a big lps fan and your torch hammer 🐸 and goni collection makes me cream lol
I can’t remember any of your videos talking about water changes. How much how often? I went away from them for a while but I’m starting to return.

What is your lighting schedule ? How long are the reef brites and other bars on for ?

what are your nitrate and phosphate levels and do you feed your corals? How high is your alk?
sure he will tell you..

@@fraggarage5922 thanks:-)
Amazing!!! would like to order some corals from you but the delivery here in Quebec is not reliable :(
Really? I ship to Quebec all the time!
Insane. I dont understand how you guys get those colors out of those corals....
Need some more updates Adam. Great job with the Acros.
Not a bad idea, it's been a while!
Where you like to keep your nutrients in each system?
Hi amazing tank I wonder if you run any mechanical filtration on your sps tanks. Thnks
Thanks! just filter socks, but I'm trying a roller on the new system soon..
Best sps reefer of all time
hahah I don't think so, but I try my best!
So cool
How much PAR are you running on the Acro system’s? How long of a photo period?
250-400 on the sps, 50-200 lps

I wish I could have a frag system in my garage, but there’s too many dirt bikes out there!
Where did you get your frag tanks if you don't mind me asking?
Nice 👍

Wow, who makes your tanks?
Concept in Calgary!
What do you do for heating in the winter and cooling for the summer in a garage setup?
I have a mini split ac/heat pump. It's barely keeping up this summer though! Heaters for the winter
How do you keep your garage warm up there in Canada???
hahah I'm not THAT north. I'm a 3hr ferry ride from Seattle. That said, I use a mini split to heat and cool the room all year long; I don't rely on heaters.
@@fraggarage5922 I’m in Niagara Falls our winters are rough lol

I NOTICE YOU USING CO2 SCRUBBER WHAT S YOUR PH?
Lately 8.35-8.65, though I haven't calibrated for a while. I do like those numbers though! haha

That guy probably doesn’t drink the milk after eating his cereal… so I wouldn’t put too much merit in his comment.
