Awesome video Jake! Great subject, spot on music and editing, and even a narrative. Your videos are just getting better and better, you seem way more natural in front of the camera now too. In my opinion you and your channel have the best marine content on RUclips; up there with Rachel O'Leary and George Farmer's freshwater channels. Keep up the good work !👍
I keep trying, it's hard to balance the content between the story telling, editing, my questions, their answers, production and everything in between - it's all about that practice and especially STRIVING to make videos that I would want to watch.
Reef Builders You can see the hard work you put into your vids. Some RUclipsrs make good looking videos but there's no content, lots of fluff. Others have great content but it's usually just a talking head interspersed with clips (i don't mind these if I learn something or am inspired) But your vids have yourself, scenery, interviews, music, fish/invert/tank clips, information, opinion and reviews. You edit well, you film well and you ask the right questions; i really enjoy them and never fast forward.
Going to miss these interviews! RIP Jake Adams. You really brought enjoyment/education to us in the hobby! Gone too soon! What a damm shame! My condolences. D.
Hiya from Canada...Jake thank you for bringing such a great reefer and his system to us. He mentioned Strong Flow, REGULAR water testing and REGULAR Water changes. He summed it up the recipe for the success IMO. The Raja Rampage is truly a stunner....Awesome buds thanks once again.
Thanks so much for this video Jake. Jason is in a league of his own. I'm drooling for sure. I went to my first ever frag swap sponsored by our local club. The club is also buying and maintaining tanks for teachers. The speaker was someone you know, Laura Simmons from Cairns Aquarium. She said she met you when you were at Cairns.
The great thing about this video is seeing how these colonies will grow out. Good source of info when planning out the look and needs of your own reef. Great job
Great video I have been to this guys place it’s been a few years ago but it is truly amazing to see it in person an Jason is a great guy to meet . Iam glad I found your video it brought back some great memories of being there an since I have been there he has changed his system so much an it looks great . This guy truly is a legend of us reef hobbyist an to own a piece of his coral makes you feel like your a vip of the hobby lol cause that’s how great his stuff is . Thanks again an like to see you go back an do another video some time .
This guy right here is the Reason why I love corals the care that he has for them. And how there colors stand out. Crazy thumps 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 keep up the great work Jason.
Awesome. Just bought a HIgh Voltage Platygyra he cultured from WWC. What an incredible setup he's got. Good to know he's so critical of klingons. Makes me feel better about it.
Excellent video. I got to ask Jason questions at a local event and loved that he uses regular IO. Just goes to show salt isn't anything to worry about. Would love to know what these people do for backups in emergency events like power outages.
I love this video.. I probably have watched it 100 times, no joke. Probably because Jason has my dream job. Any else notice he matched the music to the pipes draining water at 3:11? One of your best tank tour videos Jake. 💪
Big fan of Jason Fox. Doing great things for the hobby. I love my RAJA RAMPAGE colony. AMAZING. What a great opportunity to see his set up. Also have to say I love my REEF Bright LED all blue strips. Much of my success is from tips from JASON and WWC. I Learn from the BEST. Thanks JAKE!
WOW! Beautiful work Jake, really like watching your channel and its also neat learning what the "big guys" are doing to get the growth and colors that they do... Keep doing what your doing brotha
Jason’s a good guy and he really knows what he’s doing. True expert. Many years ago I purchased a Jedi Mind Trick from him at about 1” and in 2 years the main piece was a over 2 feet. And there were other frags of It too at comparable sizes.
Hey just dropped by for another watch and the more I watch this the more I want to see everything today! Would love to see what he is changed and added. As much money he has got from me over the years he probably has a warehouse full of coral growing warehouses. Still such a good video and it’s great to see still rockin today it Jake
Awesome tanks that Jason has! I was more curious on what he feeds the tanks (coral wise), not the fish. The water iscrystal clear. I guess if the minerals are kept at the proper levels, perhaps the tank self sustains on detritus and other particles?
Jason Fox is the man awesome job mr Fox thanks for sharing this video with us jake amazing reefs tanks and corals I can whach this video all day long keep up the great work Gbless. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Very nice. It's crazy how much he has in his house and how much he puts into it. He really gets around too. I actually bought a frag from him when he came to a frag swap we had here in Buffalo. Great video keep up the great work.
Reef Builders please do! I look forward to all of your videos, and love what you show everyone. Would love to see a new video on some of your own tanks as well! Love everything you do buddy!
Do you know what spectrums he was running on the LED Hydra setup? And for how many hours? Was he just using blue plus T5's? Kind of curious. Great video though :).
I like the video, all the corals capture the real color, please keep showing more tanks and people behind the work. If you have opportunity to visit Tigard,Oregon to show "Golden basket ",with the owner Rudy Batara you would see an amazing facility, a lot of name corals came from Rudy, want a bonus;how about Mattv's corals and few others, including "cuttlefish and corals ",store featured in coral magazine (December 18 or January 19),some suggestions, happy reefing!!!
Hey Jason? As far as your living room tank, do you get any shimmer showing with your ReefBrites? Or do the T5's kind of drown it out? I was trying very hard to see but i couldn't?
This guy is top of the food chain!! amazing set-up, corals and knowledge. I think there's a market for guys like him in consulting big $ customers on how to set-up and maintain coral reefs in multi-mil $ homes, as opposed to just growing corals for sale.
SpaghettiKillah u may be right but my guess is a millionaire would rather pay someone else for setup and maintenance rather than paying for consulting.
ive met Jason a few times at swaps. he a really good guy. the expensive stuff is IMO well worth the $$. he has alot of affordable stuff too. My first JF frag was Green Nukes Zoas.
Can I get some tips for starting out I am going to maybe focus on one type of coral so I can learn the behaviour of one animal where I expand and sell in the future but I’m scared of flat worms after watching a video haha which coral is almost resistant to worms?
"Turns downs white while investing in T5s which literally expand that spectrum and peaks in the green and red" Does anyone actually look at spectral analysis ... for ffs
Hi Jake, I have some questions. All the T5 bulbs he was using were actinic? so there were no aquablue or coralplus bulbs used? Or he refered as actinic bulbs the blue ones? did you asked for the bulb brand? Sorry for so many questions, but I was surprised with the light he was using, and I'ld like to know more about it. I hope you understand my questions and thank you so much for all your videos, I love them so much, you should keep posting more ;)
Hi , great video. Have you visited Supreme Reefs in springfield Virginia? New place but man they got some nice stuff, and knowledgeable staff. You will be impressed!
So is it a true actinic or something like a blue actinic? In previous videos his tanks looked a lot more blue/purple like it was a true actinic, not in yours though. Looks more like a blue+ bulb or something similar.
He uses a wide range of blue colored fluorescent T5 lamps. I think most of them fall under the brighter 'blue plus' style of bulb with an occasional pink, but the ReefBrite LED strips provide most of the deeper blue spectrum.
Awesome video Jake!
Great subject, spot on music and editing, and even a narrative.

Yessir, I'm a one-man A to Z video production team, lol.
add me please
"I'm using regular Instant Ocean." Let that sink in all you Salt Snobs! LOL
Big facts
I can only run the highest quality salt, tropic marine! Jk, I run fritz
add me please
Salt doesn't matter if your dosing all elements
Giant system with big alk needs. For a smaller system the lower alk content of nicer salts is just easier.
Going to miss these interviews! RIP Jake Adams. You really brought enjoyment/education to us in the hobby! Gone too soon! What a damm shame! My condolences. D.
I love that he is all about water changes and testing. The fact that he runs blue lights is very interesting and his daughter Bella is precious!
The next generation of reefers are the future of this hobby and I'll do anything to support and inspire the younguns
add me please
Jake was visiting the OG coral vendor, Jason Fox. We Miss you Jake, thank you for sharing this video. Legacy ,baby.
super amazing. this is the University of Corals. Beautiful to watch. Give all of us inspiration to try to be the best we can on the hobby.

Wow, long awaited video.
Super healthy clean corals.
Thanks for the video.

Some lovely corals nice to see a variety of different corals
I love this video.. I probably have watched it 100 times, no joke. Probably because Jason has my dream job. Any else notice he matched the music to the pipes draining water at 3:11? One of your best tank tour videos Jake. 💪

Nice! So cool to see Jason Fox's setup right from his home! I'm headed to Worldwide corals this weekend for the first time! 💙🐠
oh boy you're in for a treat
This was fantastic. I installed 26 signature acropora frags a few weeks ago and all 26 are just about self bonded to the rock now.
Ive watched his vid like at least 30 times, still love it, sensational ,,,
That girl knows her stuff 6 years old wow. Nice setup Jayson !!!!! Awsome videos as usaul Jake i constantly find myself re watching ur videos 🔥
Jason Fox is THE MAN! Thank you Jake Adams for road trippin out there for this gig!
God Bless your Daughter Jason she's an angel hope to see you at palooza New Jersey 2024
I was impressed at NY reefapalooza by Jason's collection. By far the best coral vendor and the frags looks awesome.
Jason fox seems to be a very nice man.
Met him at Reefapalooza LA a year or so ago, super nice dude.
Bought a piece of Pimped Out Tenuis from JF at the Lansing frag swap. Nice guy, great niche corals!😊
Jason Fox is simply amazing. Awesome work Jake Adams
Bonus points for the orbiting hat at 2:10 nice little detail.
What a knowledgeable chap. Brilliant setup
Superb setup. Shows how passionate Jason is. Well done.
Amazing video, and breathtaking corals!
Lovly tank. I like how you treat children. They really seem to like you. Your'e a good guy man. Hope this channel booms for you.
Jason’s a good guy and he really knows what he’s doing. True expert. Many years ago I purchased a Jedi Mind Trick from him at about 1” and in 2 years the main piece was a over 2 feet. And there were other frags of It too at comparable sizes.

Very nice. It's crazy how much he has in his house and how much he puts into it. He really gets around too. I actually bought a frag from him when he came to a frag swap we had here in Buffalo. Great video keep up the great work.
I have purchased a few Jason Fox corals and I they are awesome to this day.... very nice.
Great video. It’s good to see the hard work he’s putting in his corals. 👍
Is he running the reefbrite 50/50 or atinic blues?
Nicely done Jake! Been waiting to catch this one and it was worth the wait for sure
WOW he has some of the best looking corals I have ever seen! That basement is AWESOME! so much there. Did you take anything home from his house?
I picked out a few frags but haven't received them yet - but I might make a video fo it when I do.
Reef Builders please do! I look forward to all of your videos, and love what you show everyone. Would love to see a new video on some of your own tanks as well! Love everything you do buddy!
Hi from India.. Your videos are simply awesome..!!! Thanks for making such informative videos and sharing eye candies every time.. Keep it up..!!
Wow, I didn’t understand a word of that, but it was very beautiful and that man is clearly talented.
Jason's tanks are amazing. And he has the cutest kid in the world. Great video
This mini documentary was well worth the wait, but you missed the planted tank would've been neat to see that as well.
By far my favorite video of yours in the last 6 months or more!
Boy what a set up he has , thanks for the great video as always very good stuff
Jasons coals look so great! And the video looked so great.
I was considering a small biocube as a quarantine...looks like it's usable.
Seeing this guys house makes me feel better about adding a bunch of tanks in my house.... turns out I dont have THAT much of an addiction!!!
Like like like .... Jake dude! You killed it on this video! Fantastic video production and content 👍
thanks! it sure was a great tour with some insane nice corals and tangs
Good infos and awesome corals... Nicely done Reefbuilders
Do you know what spectrums he was running on the LED Hydra setup? And for how many hours? Was he just using blue plus T5's? Kind of curious. Great video though :).
Love the lofi Jake! Keep up the amazing videos!

Nice work what Jason did! So nice Corals!!
"Are you going to get your own tank one day?" "I already have one!" hahaha, of course she does! So cute!
Perfect reply, next time I visit Jason's I'll feature it too
Je l'ai déjà vu mais je ne m'en lasse pas !!!
Merci Jake
Great video. Loved the lighting explanation.... I'll take 1 of each...
Hey Jason? As far as your living room tank, do you get any shimmer showing with your ReefBrites? Or do the T5's kind of drown it out? I was trying very hard to see but i couldn't?
Cool, thanks for putting this together!
Jason needs his own tube chan Thumbs up if u agree❤
cause running all those systems in your own home isn't already enough right? lol
Thanks for sharing. Its like going to the wonka chocolate factory!!
G Sander Yes it is! 😄💙🐠
This guy is top of the food chain!! amazing set-up, corals and knowledge.

thanks for the coverage. Jason has some awesome corals. another tang lover. 👍
I couldn't BELIEVE how many tangs he has, just about every species available in the hobby.
Reef Builders for sure. I love them. Jake, I didn't catch the name of that yellow & blotchy blk tang. very nice. keep up the great work you do.
This might be a dumb question, but.. how does he deal with humidity in the basement? Wouldn't there be lots of mold?
ive met Jason a few times at swaps. he a really good guy. the expensive stuff is IMO well worth the $$. he has alot of affordable stuff too. My first JF frag was Green Nukes Zoas.
GREAT VIDEO, jason fox the master
One of the best reefing videos out there. EYE CANDY!!! :o
I really loved his tanks.. prob my.fav so far
Reef Builders for life 🪸🪸
oh and Jason sorry, same question on your 400 gallon "working tank". Do you see any shimmer in there? I"m trying really hard to see.
That was cool that he gave some of his tips of the trade.
Hey Jake just curious is he using the true actinic bulbs or blue plus?
Amazing! Lucky to have a few of your pieces. What type of reefbrites do you use? There seem to be a large amount available
Can I get some tips for starting out I am going to maybe focus on one type of coral so I can learn the behaviour of one animal where I expand and sell in the future but I’m scared of flat worms after watching a video haha which coral is almost resistant to worms?
Astonishingly awesome. Thanks Jake.
I wish we could import Indonesian corals into Aus.
Amazing corals and Another great video.
Damn...GOALS. Nice coral collection and great video! Thanks! Sub'd.
Dude what the name of that funky dope instrumental that’s playing when you first enter his house? I need to download it lol no but seriously
This Jason guy is master... just wish that I lived in the USA to buy coral
-goes home
-turns down white intensity
-looks for deals on t5s
"Turns downs white while investing in T5s which literally expand that spectrum and peaks in the green and red"
Does anyone actually look at spectral analysis ... for ffs
add me please
@@dntzonis you trolling again. You do realize there are different spectrum bulbs for t5 right?
My favorite part of this video is when Jake interviews Jason's six year old daughter at the end...
Love it when I see kids with fish tanks. Some flash backs
Great video! Do you have his AI 52 LED schedule? A lot of people would love to see it!
I hope you understand my questions and thank you so much for all your videos, I love them so much, you should keep posting more ;)
I’m surprised this hasn’t been pointed out more but when he says “actinic” I recall he is using Giesemann actinic blue which is like an ATI Blue Plus.
Incredible Video! Awesome Coral Farm! Wow! 😲
Hi , great video. Have you visited Supreme Reefs in springfield Virginia? New place but man they got some nice stuff, and knowledgeable staff. You will be impressed!
hahaha in the car timelapse you hat made A 360! Cool easter egg.
Very cool video, how did you adjust your camera to flush out the blue lights?
LOTS of trial an error, lol
Just fabulous.
Awesome video. He has the best stuff! So glad you covered his lighting, I always wondered what he used.
Yeah, you guys always ask, so I made sure to have him mention it for most of the tanks
So is it a true actinic or something like a blue actinic? In previous videos his tanks looked a lot more blue/purple like it was a true actinic, not in yours though. Looks more like a blue+ bulb or something similar.
He uses a wide range of blue colored fluorescent T5 lamps. I think most of them fall under the brighter 'blue plus' style of bulb with an occasional pink, but the ReefBrite LED strips provide most of the deeper blue spectrum.
giesmann calls their blue bulb the "actinic blue" it's like the ati blue plus
Fantastic video Adam.
What camera are you getting the slow-mo shots with?
Panasonic Lumix GH5
