Forget increments, if you are able to save your job for the next 2 years, it will be an achievement. Thousands of people will lose their jobs, and many of them will quit IT jobs altogether, I.e., won’t get a job for couple of years so they will move on. I can already see lay-off in my organisation. I work in data engineering space which was pretty hot till 2022. Right now, all funding is going into AI stuff. So high time everyone to learn some maths, statistics and AI to be job ready. I know no one is using AI at the moment in production but all the future ramp up will be happening in that space. Accept, and move on.
@@dsinghr Yes. and i got in genai recently and i do feel like its just nothing to be done my brain or human. Just clutter,more clutter and more copy n paste..Working has changed and there is absolutely no value to anything one does at desi office. People used to feel valued as work was assigned to them or they had application, softwares like there own baby. That passion to go to work and healthy human connect is no more. It's a crematorium. I asked for an increment and it hurt my managers ego since then. It became so toxic that I had to leave in 3 months. He started hating me and using profanity for the silliest of reasons.

I would put it a little differently: always put forward your expectation of a good raise/rating/whatever and have the content to back it up. Yes there’s a budget and yes you will get a standard share of that budget but there are stack rankings and there is a queue for promotions. Don’t make it so hard for your manager by constant cribbing but also don’t make it easy for the manager to just put u at the end of the queue. In my 8 years of experience, people who don’t ask for it usually are considered last for it.
Please make sure you updated your excel trackers with all the certification, skills and share it on SharePoint so everyone can see and everyone can update the same. So it becomes easier to throw everyone the same peanut increment packets. Copy and paste everything and fight against each other. Proud of you guys. Okay..Bye bye guys. @@fxbyyogesh Despite rampant switching happenings in the past. Try your best to avoid switching. But when you plan, then get multiple offers and switch. Stick 3-5 years in a company. Get that gratuity money, get that solid stability on resume. The next job director will like it. It will dislike 1-2 yr job hopper resume.
