    Honor?
    Do you think honor keeps them in line? Do you think it's honor that's keeping the peace? It's fear! Fear and blood!" Robert Baratheon

    What about Aerys Targaryen? What did the Mad King say when you stabbed him in the back? I never asked. Did he call you a traitor? Did he plead for a reprieve? He said the same thing he'd been saying for hours... "Burn them all". Aerys really doom his house with his madness. 'A Lannister always pays his debts." Tywin repaid his old friend back for the many slights.

      It's wild too, cause they opened the gates for them, and as soon as that happened, all Tywin had to do was march their way up to the Red Keep, surround it, and get to the Throne room
      Didn't even have to kill any guards, unless they refused to get out of the way. Tywin slaughtered innocents for no reason

    If they did a show of this I think Jaime should be shell shocked after and that’s why he’s on throne and unable to explain himself. Also a reason why he didn’t protect the rest of the royal family.

    Ya know, always wondered why Tywin didn't just... blockade the City, and await Robert's arrival.
    Either way, you'd think that would've saved lives and make it easier to run King's Landing afterwards. Senseless slaughter didn't do anything for him

      Men like tywin don't care. His logic likely was, "It worked back then(with the Reyn-Tarbeck rebellion) . It'll work now, "
      I mean, english kings irl likely would have(and likely DID)DEFINITELY sacked their own villages and towns if they got even a snippet of defiance or what they "deemed as "rebellion

    Have you considered doing a postscript to this series - Prince Viserys and Daenarys in exile? You could also do one who else could have been a claimant to the throne after the death of Aerys II besides Robert I

    • @WorldOfWesteros
      @WorldOfWesteros  18 дней назад +1

      I am working of a beggar king video, but it's more likely going to be a one long video rather than a series. I am also toying with the idea of a video about other claimant but it's turned into more of a challenge than it first sounds, mostly because the family tree around Aerys i and Maekar gets a little vague with unknown marriages and people just being forgotten. But, and i really need to look deeper into it. It's might be possible Selwyn Tarth thus Brianne Of Tarth might have a decent claim, but the link is tenuous at best until we get some more lore.

    Say I have a question, exactly how many dragon eggs existed after the dance of dragons was over? Cause didn’t one of baelor the blessed’s kid have one and didn’t aegon the unworthy trade one for to get some women from a nobleman?

    Let's play a game bros What if.....the mad king sent Elia,Rhaella and the children to Dorne to the care of Doran Martell I think that would have kept alive the loyalist flame for years.
    Viserys named by his mother the new king and the dornish support, perhaps the Tyrells wouldn't surrendered and continue the war in the name of the boy king.

    As much as I ended up so loathing the TV show, Vary's death by dragon fire was, in a way, fitting. Of course nothing made any sense anymore, but Varys in the books wasn't what he was in the show.

    Would the mountain have attacked Jamie if he was protecting the rhegars family and refusing to let them be harmed?

    • @WorldOfWesteros
      @WorldOfWesteros  19 дней назад +2

      given according to Tywin he never actually ordered the assault and murder of Elia, he just didn't specifically tell the mountain not to, i guess there is a scenario where Jamie is protecting Elia and her children and the mountain kills him, again because Tywin didn't specifically tell him not to. But that really all depends on if you believe Tywin was telling the truth when he said he never ordered the death of Elia.

  • @Morfe02
    @Morfe02 19 дней назад +3

    Aenys is so dumb, he should send Jaime with Rhaegar and let Elia return to Dorne
    That would let war for years, Dorne was never conquered by armies or dragons
    Also would divide the realms between fighting Dorne civilians and the Targaryens Viserys and Daenerys ik the North in some years
