  • In this video I will share my tips on how to get clients as a freelance graphic designer. This video gives practical advices on how to market online and having the best mindset in running a freelancing career.
My approach in finding clients is heavy on social media. While I have no issues with freelancing sites, I feel like it is much more sustainable to market in social media instead of competing in a saturated market like Fiverr.
Hope you find this video helpful.

I just recently found you on instagram and youtube, YOU ARE A GODSEND! I'm currently shifting careers to become a freelancer and your videos and ig posts help me a lot! They're very concise and valuable for someone also wanting to go in this journey. I'm currently still building my portfolio and consolidating past artworks (i'm an architect but i wanna shift careers haha) so I'm nowhere near getting clients since I'm still figuring things out. I just wanna ask tho, I'm scared because I'm not sure if clients would actually book me especially since I don't know the current asking fees for design services. Can you give tips on how you came up with your fees and how do you know if you're being lowballed or not? Again, GREAT CHANNEL!

There is no fixed rate it depends on the experience, time and monthly expensives of a person you need to know your worth and how much confident you are with your skills
The second factor is client's location, Is it a company or individual, is their product cheap or expensive ask these questions to clients and try to predict what rates they would pay and you can charge
I honestly don't recommend to compete with price or lowball your rates just to get clients you know there are clients who will happily pay or even give bonuses if you are skilled and professional

How do you usually answer to potential clients who inquire your services on Behance or Instagram, what’s your process to lead a client from an inquiry to the one you actually work with on a contract base? I usually start asking them questions for the brief, a more detailed information to create a proposal or offer a free call. But I they stop answering although they wrote first. I am actually just starting to learn graphic designing and previously was working as a Chef for 3 years and even took a diploma on it. I hate that you have to work 12hrs a day and cant spend time with your family on public holidays.

Hi David. I would say I think I'm creatively inclined. Don;t stress yourself out because creativity can be trained, you just have to expose to yourself to good designs. In fact, I cringe when I check my works when I was starting out. This means that over time, my taste and standards for great design has improved. Also, when your mind feels empty, you have to look for inspiration to get you started.
      Best of luck to you

Do you have fixed pricing for all your services or base your pricing on your inquiries? Also, do you share some base pricing in the first message to get an understanding of their budget? please make a video on how to fix the price budget. and whole details about the price fixing sir. please reply sir or make a video. thanks, sir. great works and your knowledge

It depends on the scope of work and how you handle negotiation. I always mention the pricing as early as possible. I don't want to exert so much effort only to know that they cannot afford my price. Most of the time saying your pricing upfront is better

I asked a youtuber if she finds clients from freelancing websites. She replied that she don't. She just posts her work in her IG a lot wit the right hashtaga and promote her page in different FB groups with potential clients.
