This video is subjective and to be frank, a bit geared toward white audiences. His comment about how a person should speak "using the word YO" was in your face racism. What about when white people are conversing and use the words: "NARLY, RAD, etc.?" Really? You went their dude? Your wife tried to clean up your racist comment but you are what you are dude. These two are about what they like...I would never subscribe to this type of channel because it is totally about their agenda. This video was condescending and offensive to the conscious person who sees what they are really up too! Neither one of them has room to criticize or judge others...and who is he to tell someone how to talk or dress? Keep it simple and real guys; presenting your point of view about tailoring your clothes and so forth is fine...however, when you pass judgment on others because of their culture...it's offensive at and unwarranted.
I understand your point about cologne and scent, I am obsessed with colognes and I like to keep myself groomed all the time, it's part of good religion to be this way not to smell offensive but sometimes people overdo it and they really smell offensive with cologne and perfumes, women especially
i agree with points 1 to 6, but gotta disagree with point #7. soap and softener scent just wont cover it. what if you sweat during the occasion, like outdoor one. those natural scents will get replaced quickly with body odor and i swear it's not a good natural scent at all. Living in a hot tropical country like me, fragrance help me solve that problem... by a lot. plus fragrance is like clothing, there are specific scent to go with specific occasion. though i agree with some of your points, never overspray. but not too light either, because there's no point in using fragrance if only you smell it.
I have been complemented on my scent before and I was not wearing cologne. I normally wear cologne but it was my body wash that was being complemented that day. Less is more. Subtle is important here.
Also I love Ashley’s comment on your comfortability on what you wear. She’s not spoon-feeding anyone. Staples and essentials work because they are classic, minimal, and appear so effortless. I don’t think Ashley has ever suggested cropped pants. She may even be grossed out by them-I’m always showing some ankle-but it’s become a regular thing with me. However, her advice on a neat taper, a simple sneaker with a sleek silhouette, and a classic color scheme goes a long way. Her essentials series is excelenté. 😎👌
With fragrance- less is more. It''s particularly offensive when I can smell Axe in an active parking lot. When your body spray is noticeable around diesel exhaust you have gone too far.
well axe is garbage. If you are using the correct perfume/cologne for event/season then it shouldn't be a problem. I have at least 1-2 perfume per season. I use lighter ones in summer and stronger/heavier scent on cold season.
I have definitely shown up to a BBQ in a suit. I came straight from work and it was super awkward. Sometimes you should just go home an change and be late. lol
I really like how this video turned out. The background contrast and how subtly comfortable you two are dressed. Great pointers as well, but overall this video is calming to my eyes.
Thanks for making these videos. I'm a long time subscriber of GQ and Esquire so I'm aware of general dressing rules but sometimes I need a little reminder to stay on my game and keep me grounded in the foundation - these videos help a lot.
Point 5 is very important. Be well-spoken. I’m a stutterer. Sometimes it is severe due to my epilepsy which has caused neurological interruption. It’s a hurtle, but it doesn’t stop me from speaking precisely and with good grammar. Nor does being well-spoken mean only speaking with a complex vocabulary. Having an extensive vocabulary isn’t bad at all-it’s good, but it’s not necessary and sometimes it’s better to be able to speak in very simple terms. Especially if you are talking about very complex issues, to be able to take it and explain it in laymen’s terms is VERY useful and sharp. Don’t let your speech impediment stop you from being well-spoken, and don’t assume being well-spoken means speaking with words you can’t afford. Easy peasy.
To not like a fragrance is to not enjoy the scene of smell. Most people wear the same overhyped fragrances so everyone gets tired of them, and develop a tunnel vision of what men’s fragrances smell like. As a collector myself the sentence “no fragrances is the best fragrance” is the olfactory equivalent of saying “no style is the best style”. I’d say everyone eventually finds one they like to smell, if they’ve smelled enough unique fragrances, but I do see where you’re coming from. Lol, it’s these oversprayers who are ruining it for the rest of us. I’ll agree to disagree on that last one, I’ll shave my head before I abandon my collection. Signature- Prada L’homme Age- 20

decent video! just the last point about scent. if women were to have the person's natural smell, they will have to dig their nose into their skin. and there is no harm wearing a fragrance as long as it is not oversprayed. if ppl can smell us (and not overpowered) when they are next to us, then that's fine. it doesn't kill the style. only when the smell is so strong that it is making others uncomfortable, that's bad.

At the end of the day theres a truth to some of the content, but just as much as wearing a brown dress shoe compliments a slim tailored navy trouser, that vision was created back in the day and transcends forward. How do we expect to make any progression in fashion if we're stuck on, "don't wear an athletic sneaker with a suit, it just doesn't look right"? just like the vision of the brown dress shoe with the navy trouser, a "new" great look for a suit can be created. we're basing these dos and donts off fashion that is dated, and it doesn't mean that new ways to style a suit are wrong, and that goes hand in hand with more than just suits.

Like your advise Ashley but not so much your business partner. What he likes I don't care about I care about what women thinks not what men thinks

That idiot sprays his ankles with perfume!
Not well spoken, certainly not like saying “like” a copious amount of times while talking about people not being well spoken. Weeeiiirrrrddd Dorian, weird. 😬
Why need to cuss on you video macho language is not needed. Thank you
Why do you always introduce the guy as "your business partner"? Isn't he your husband??
Cameron Ghandeharioun I am confused too, i remember she referring to him as her fiance but now it is only " business partner" 1st thing that come to my mind was omg, they just break up and have to continue to make videos for the sake of business
I was wondering that too. But Ashley still has an engagement ring on her hand. So Ashley, what's the scoop?
It’s been downhill since your fiancées involvement.
Keep a mirror in front of you so that when you look at each other other person will know and will not look awkward
First World problems. Smh
I've just finished watching almost seven of your videos and everything that you guys said I do agree with you guys, but you guys are very judgmental very arrogant and you guys are living inside this bubble that you want everybody to be in it that is not okay.
I think the guy love Ashly because he always look at her bt Ashly don't love the guy because she don't look at him😂
U guys always just wear plain, that’s so boring
Did you get number five?
"Not well spoken," but......you use the word, "Like," about one or two times in every sentence.
