I love the fact that the important trainers are actually a challenge in these games. Also, that one double battle with the Gyarados in the rain that tends to catch people unaware. Brutal for any nuzlocker! I love it!

I'm happy to see Sinnoh + a Silph video, but that chibi style is really not my thing. It feels so weird to see a chibi running around, switching to normal, good-looking models for a battle, and then switching back to chibi models, especially if it's multiple short battles on a route or something.
That is definitely fair. I thought the same thing at first but now I love it. It’s supposed to bring back the nostalgia of the original games for those who played them. I can definitely see why so many hate it. It does look like animal crossing more than a Pokémon game.
I usually don’t complain about graphics, but I passed on the games mostly due to how unappealing the visuals are. It looks terrible. The point of remakes are to have everything look better, and that is not what they did. Maybe I’d have gotten BD if it was half the price, but it just isn’t worth what it costs.

I was honestly surprised you lost the run but those play rough misses were very unlucky!! Also can we take a moment to appreciate that we haven’t had a Pokémon game with this difficulty since Unova if only there was a toggle for the exp share
This run hits home. My first run at Pokémon was with Empoleon and I was too young to understand to balance my team, had no internet and understood basically no English. That led to my Empoleon basically being overleveled while my highest other pokemon were ones I caught on Victory Road. At the Elite Four I could not figure out how to beat them as I didn't really know all type weaknesses. I ended up giving up, resetting the game and starting over with Turtwig with who I breezed through the game. Now it's tough to see Empoleon still not reach that hall of fame.
I remember I used to just get stuck at Fantina for the longest time, so I just gave up and started a new game every time, starting it with each starter and still not being able to beat it for the longest time. Then one time when I chose Grotle, I let my younger brother play it one night and the next day, I saw he was over at Solaceon Town.
So they decided to buff Cynthia with a more competitive team? One of the most infamous champions of all time ? Its like giving garchomp a mega evolution he didn’t need but much more successful this time around

Loved this video! Since you started with water and got piplup I think it’s only fitting that you try grass or fire next! Grass gives you a lot of options to choose from but fire would be a huge challenge with only 3 options, 4 of you’re using Pearl

A shame that you lost this one (so close, too!), but that's fine. This just shows how tough BDSP is, what with the opposition being prepared like competitive. 18/5, man. Better luck next time, I guess. Anyway, with BDSP released now, hopefully we'll see the return of the True Power series!

Shellos early on, Magikarp into Gyarados from the first city's old rod, Empoleon, Azumarill, etc. though I'd say before one unlocks the National Dex the Pokedex in this game is particularly lacking/sad. A fire nucklocke would be the worst, aside from Infernape line and Ponyta/Rapidash I can't think of any other fire pokes pre-National Dex (correct me if I'm wrong please).

Azumarill going down to Spiritomb was one of the biggest chokes I've ever seen.
At 8:17 when Psyduck uses water pulse you can see the gym (not the battle arena) in the background. Cool detail I’ve never noticed before
so far, I haven't seen a current hard-core monotype nuzlocke where anyone wins in the new remakes.
Silph: "Steelix has sheer force"
Also Silph: "Steelix has Sturdy"
I've waited years for this game I am happy with all the new features but was hoping for a new back story to the game like in black and white 2 hope they make a platinum edition
Keep dreaming
This nuzlocke had me laughing so hard lol!
Fun fact:for some reason, in the sinnoh remakes they gave cynthia competitively perfect pokemon
Vespiquen’s sprite looks really good in this game.
A disappointing end but a good run overall, very fun to watch
Since the remakes are out & you’re havin fun playing it, is there a possible interest in maybe continuing the True Power series for Sinnoh?
SINNOH REMAKES HYPE
Kudos to you! I'm here b/c I lost to Cynthia last night which ruined my run. I switched two pokemon and tried a different strategy and then beat her (I only had 5 going into her match anyway), but not having the W on the Nuzlocke hurts a bit. Can't wait to try again though!
The beacons are lit, Gondor calls for aid!
"And Piplupp shall answer!"
The games haven't been out for more than 2 days. How the hell did you manage to already do this? Silph, you are the MAN!
Next do a shining pearl fire type nuzlocke
Okay, I can't be the only one who laughed when Gandalf basically said "YOU. SHALL NOT. PASS!" to Barry on the bridge.
Ur vids always joy me :)
Woah I'm first
28:16 Galadriel is in a bit of a pinch. It looks like it might cry...
Wow, that made me feel things out of nowhere.
