Serious question from someone who’s got technique pretty down, where would you recommend starting in terms of music theory..I got plenty of technique and I know sounds but I don’t know the scales or how to apply them lol 😂🤦♂️..like to hear me play you would think I know theory alittle but I do not lol
This is going to be fun. Thank you so much
Thank you I love this solo

Use it as a practice routine. its years of playing and practicing, really. It's not that mystical dont get me wrong he has all my respect for just being able to stay so disciplined. Been using these couple minutes for years. Started just just before corona I can now use about 33 techniques!. This is one of the most perfect practice pieces to use its musical as fuck!. I just like to think Porcupine trees saw this and where like we need him to play for us one day😅
Practice will get you to 39 techniques.
Finding someone who cares will take you to 40.
That's at least one less technique I have to practice
39 it is then.
I think he did pull-offs as well in the hammer-on technique, so technically he did 41 (40+1).
Nice shot dude 😄
That's why it's one of the impossible technique
Masterfulness! So enjoyed this video my friend!
Kfir! Thanks, bro. :D
@@NateNavarro do you know of any tutorials for rolls? I can't find any!!

This is my goal as a bass player.
Nate, or nathan, as my last exams for bass before quitting I actually wrote about you and how inspiring you have been on my bass playing. Thanks☮️
This was a revelations for me. Been playing bass at super low level off and on for fun for years. Always wanted to learn to slap/double thumb etc. but never got to it.
I loved your original 40 techniques video. And now i saw this, thought, i will try the parts i can follow.
Started with the intro, that i could do, one finger, scratch, gallops etc. But then it got weird, I came to the double thumb part, and everything clicked, something in my brain just got it.
So i started practice the part, it's not hard but for me one week ago i would think it was impossible. But now i got it. After practicing the part to get the speed up I thought, lets try to slap, something i always wanted to learn, and amazingly all of the sudden it worked to. Nothing advanced but i could all of the sudden slap and pop. Played some Jamaqurai and other easy slap songs and everything just sounded good,(or ok) I was having a amazing time.
Now my fingers hurt and i have no idea what happened really, never thought i could play any of this.
So thanks i guess, this was a weird evening. But amazing.
I am not making any of this up, and I am still abit weird out.
Lmao me too, I started playing in high school and just now started to get really interested in getting GOOD. I thought I was good, but after looking at these videos I realize that I have the time of day and care to work on it as a college student. I can now play the Hysteria bass line, and I plan on living forward to new bass techniques. It’s an interesting revelation for sure, so I totally get you.
*The most awaited tab on this channel*
1:46 - 1:47 yeah I could DEFINITELY do that
What can a person say but, WOW. There are 3 great bass blogs on RUclips I follow. Davie who is the easiest to follow on ones ears and always finds the funky groove. He is the first to catch my attention and seems to always reinvent himself! Then there is you and Charles you both are on another planet. Just got done watching your newest, fantastic. After I get my jaw off the floor I'm putting my bass away!!!!
Not the hero we deserve but the hero we need

"Play Along Tabs" *VISIBLE LAUGHTER*
Thank you for thinking i can play that
The way you worded that almost made me have to spit out my coffee. You win today's favorite internet person award. Thank you for the laugh, bro! 🤘
@@Boethius4748 thanks
Is that all you've got!
How do you get that sort of tone on the #2 staccato bit? For me, it always either sounds empty or muddy when I try it on my Ibanez SR.
How do I learn some of these techniques?
Omg!
ROFL from the ending :)
Ok if you did like a masterclass where you could play this by the end, I'd be sooooo all over that i don't care how much it costs I'd be there. Damn dude
wife thumb assist..best part of video
Wow this was Great! Do you have any tutorials on some of those techniques? There some I've never seen before. Wonderful video. Thumbs up.
his slap lesson is on his channel if that helps
@@jacurururur8848 thank you, will check it out
Skymall by vulfpeck?
Nate, I need that bass and it's not listed in the description link.
Can charles berthoud play this?
Where did that finger come at the end?
Imagine nailing this entire thing and then the person assisting at the end goes to the wrong fret.
