Jeep Wrangler Tj - Axle Tube Sleeves & Other Mods Lj | Xj | Yj

The Barns 4wd Axle tube sleeves are designed to add strength to the thin, and bend prone front axle tubes on your Jeep Wrangler or Xj/YJ/MJ/Zj With Dana 30 or 44 front axles. Today two different types of tube sleeves are available press in and weld in. While the press in tube sleeves offer the convenience of not having to weld, they also sacrifice strength. The press in tubes only have one point of contact at the outer end of the axle tube that relies on an interference fit. The Barns 4WD weld in version offers up to 9 points of contact, that when welded become a part of the existing axle tube totaling up to 1/2” wall Thickness. These sleeves are compatible with 35 spline aftermarket axle shafts. We weld in two tube sleeves one short and one long, removal, disassembly and cleaning of your axle is required. I also installed the Barns 4WD Lower control Arms Skids If you are looking for the ultimate in protection for the front lower control arm mount, 3/16 thick in material, Not only will you have protection for your lower control arm suspension joints, this will add much needed reinforcement to you lower control arm mounts that hang low and are very susceptible to being bent or deformed when coming into contact with obstacles on the trail.
