I tried Rocket Languages (Mandarin Chinese) and Pimsleur (French and Spanish). In the beginning I used Pimsleur for Chinese too, but in my opinion Pimsleur is unsuitable for Chinese. In 4 lessons I learnt less than in the first two" getting started" lessons with Rocket,. However, the voice recognition is much better with Pimsleur.
i found the opposite, rocket uses google's api for voice recognition, no language website is building a better voice recognition software and ai than google
@@ljsmith197878 Rocket Languages has TERRIBLE voice recognition software, I've been using them for 2 years on chrome and it maybe works 10% of the time. Makes it unbelievably frustrating to use regularly, and their support can't do anything.
Good day, I do have a question, if I buy a package for a Rocket French let say for Levels 1, 2 & 3, would it be extended for 2 more family members? Let say my wife and my son can also do the same package without additional payments?
Babbel is a monthly fee and Rocket is a one time purchase. Rocket I think has a heavier emphasis on speaking and will surpass Babbel in the level of speaking/understanding.
@@loistalagrand thanx. I am currently looking into it. Do xou know if I decide to buy level 1 only for the time being because I want to see whether I will be consistent, can I buy level 2 and level 3 as single course later after I finish level1? It only shows 1, or 1+2 or 1,2 and three but no single options for level 2 or 3?!
@@TinfoilHatGirl Yes, you can buy the levels individually. Level 2: www.rocketlanguages.com/italian/rocket-italian-premium-plus Level 3: www.rocketlanguages.com/italian/rocket-italian-platinum

Rocket and Japanesepod101

Hypothetically, you could use the same account for several family members.
Do you prefer Pimsleur or Rocket Languages and which one would you rather use?
Especially for Mandarin (Chinese), I'm interrested in your opinion
I would do Pimsleur with Memrise, it will get you speaking the fastest

Yes, Rocket French and Rocket Spanish are separate products.

Babbel has all of what was mentioned in this video. Not sure if it’s worth switching over.

No body beats Rocket
I don't see big differences between Babbel.

I just bought French Rocket Languages levels 2 and 3. The course is very long and a lot of repetitions.
Do I need laptop or do they have app?
You don't need a laptop, there's a mobile app.
