@@PreservationEnthusiast Darlene was certainly much more talented..no doubt. And she was very pretty, I loved her. But Annette was simply God's most exquisite heavenly beauty of all time.
@@MrLamontSanford I would disagree there. I'd say Darleen was more attractive than Annette and better than either of them was Laura or Roberta Shore from the mini series.
@@MrLamontSanford I know she used to get "hate mail" about it, but in real life she's really nice. The perils of being an excellent actress cast in the part of a mean girl!
Anyone from the new generation must think we are "weird" but we never felt that we were except to be down-to-earth and practical. That's why the Mickey Mouse Show worked - as Annette said, these girls were the next-door type that anyone would want to watch and enjoy on TV. What a fun time to run home to watch the show - it was always exciting to those members of the club dance and sing even have spin-off series. It truly was a joy just to see them together.
She was so so so pretty and lots of class and the girl next door it’s so sad we don’t have this anymore I just hope someday they will make her a saint RIP to this lovely down to earth woman 👩
My first celebrity crush! I wanted to run away to California to marry her! I was all of 5! Annette was such a beautiful and classy woman, almost too good to be real. What a sad ending she had.
I didn't get to marry her but attended St Cyril's Catholic Church in Encino where Annette had her wedding. When I recognized the church from her wedding photos I was taken aback! No, I never saw her there. A friend of mine, Donna, from high school worked at Ralph's Market in Encino as a cashier and said Annette, who shopped there, was "a snob'. This is the only bad thing I've ever heard about Annette. But I doubt Annette was "a snob', but likely just shy in hoping to blend in in doing her grocery shopping like everyone else!
@@StanMazin Annette was known for being amazingly kind & friendly to strangers. She was also terribly shy, used to hide behind her mother (before she became famous), & when asked, would deny she was "Mouseketeer Annette." She stayed in her trailer when on set, so some thought she was a snob. But she often just needed to be alone, & sometimes hated being recognized in public. She never would have chosen to be a celebrity.
Annette went beyond TMMC to star in my favorite, Babes In Toyland as a young adult not to mention famously the beach movies so I don't think the public continued to see her as "a little girl', as John suggests.
I used to like JD,but he seems condescending to me Annette on this, good thing Ringo got him! It was also great she appeared in the Monkees " Head" movie!
@@harperstacey9604 Bullsh!t on you both. John Davidson was exceptional at interviews. He once handled a drunken mess of a man named Ringo Starr. Not even an arrogant former Beatle could unravel Davidson. John Matusak was also on that episode and brought back decorum that Ringo had thrown his boozed up mouth over. He was quiet thereafter. I thank both Johns on there performances.
She was always so beautiful, genuine and down-to-earth. I still love her today as much as back in the day. My first celebrity crush.
Annette was 38 here. Absolutely beautiful!
Good Lord she was beyond beautiful !!
Totally mesmerizing beauty and sweetness...can never get enough of her. Loved her voice and mannerisms.
Darlene was prettier and more talented.

Annette Funicello has extraordinary Cuteness.🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is so sweet but it hurts my heart. I miss her.
She was stunning.

So sweet
What a class act
She was Beautiful & Classy❣️❤️❤️
Great wholesomeness. I remember watching the Mickey mouse club..oh, I loved it so much. Thanks for sharing ♥️
I was in love with Annette and her gentleness as a kid in Miami. 1973

Annette was so lovely, sweet and wonderful...VERY DEEP SIGH ❤❤❤
In person, she was all that & more -- as lovely, funny, sweet, & kind as could be.
What a beautiful ❤️ wholesome woman Annette was!! They don't make woman like Annette anymore!!
no lq way
No one like her still miss her beautiful face and lovely voice class all the way
Wow, she looks beautiful here!
Thank you for the pleasure you gave to us
It's obvious that both of these men were awestruck by her beauty and personality. What a magnificent lady she was.
She was a real Lady! And beautiful.
Loved the John Davidson show. Can't understand why more of his records aren't available on cd. Minstrel Man is still one of my favorite songs.
Annette and John both started there acting career at the Walt Disney studio
She was such a sweetheart. She was forced out of acting by multiple sclerosis at a very young age.
Um, she was diagnosed in her mid 40s, and wasn't doing a lot of acting at that point -- "Back to the Beach" being an exception.
Yes and about 6 years after this interview she came down with MS at the age of 46-47
Annette was one classy lady. Sad ending though for her.
I had a Mickey Mouse hat when I was a kid too! Great times!
This was shown prior to the silver anniversary of the original mickey mouse club.
I can give two words that are the difference between the 50s MMC show and the 70s and 90s MMC shows - Walt Disney.
I loved Annette mainly because we both had curly hair, and it didn't bother too much because she had it.
She's a gorgeous woman.

Seems sad Annette is not with us gone to heaven FREE from the MS she had most of her life 😢😢🙏🙏

I thought the same thing. He thinks of her as a little girl? Insulting.

John Davidson barely made it out of The Beverly Hills Supper Club.
Annette was just too gorgeous. ❤
Davidson interrupts Annette most of the time - she can barely complete her comments when he "barges-in". Ciao, L
John is a terrible HOST
He was also a terrible actor. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
