How does reverse thrust work mate, is there a slight negative part to the axis on the throttle? Cheers for the video, can’t wait for mine to arrive now!
I’ve assigned a button for the 'toggle throttle reverse" command which is IMO the most realistic option. Push it once (with the throttle at idle) and you have the whole throttle range to modulate reverse thrust, push it again to return the throttle to forward thrust.
@bigal5860 the hat toggle switch will provide you with the four views, if you want free look go into controls and search for it, and assign it to toggle on whatever button you want, I typically use right stick push on the controller, then you can use the Xbox controller to look around. Then when you push the analog stick again it will go back to default view of straight ahead

Do you need to purchase the rudder pedal for Flight Simulator on PC?
Nope, you can simple rotate the flight stick with a simple turn of your your wrist.
Can I control the rudder via the joystick or I have to buy the pedals as well? Been using Logitech yoke, pedals etc but unfortunately they do not work on XBOX S.
Yes, you just twist the flight stick. I do not have any rudder pedals.
The rudders are defaulted to the "paddles" that are on the side of the throttle away from you, where your fingers naturally rest. Its nice
@@boganfett arriving tomorrow! Can’t wait! 🙏
Do you need pedals or can you just use the throttle and flight stick
The Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals are not needed for any game. You can accomplish the same things with rotating the T. Flight HOTAS One stick for rudder and assign a button to brakes.
I like the rudder pedals for the added realism and feel.
@@tekgamerworldwithout rudders u probably have only Heli controls settings...
Pedals aren’t needed for anything, they are entirely optional
@@tekgamerworld So what's the reason that so many peoples have problems with only Heli controls in settings (including me). No one can answer...
can you use the two rocker bumpers on the back of the throttle for rudder in MSFS pc?
I’m not sure, I’d have to try it with a new profile, I believe that the two sides may not independent. Try and search by input “Joystick L-Axis 5 +”
Right now they are defaulted to trim.

@@tekgamerworldIndeed brother I have subscribed to your channel, I am looking to buy this HOTAS One for MSFS, I must say I'm very intrigued and excited to buy it after watching your review after 1500 hours flight time! :D
@won_shhh168 make sure the game is fully installed, no cloud if your playing on Xbox
@@tekgamerworld okay thanks brother!
I just got the hotas today but it isn't plug and play😭😭 and remapping the buttons is sux right now.. any tips bro??
You create a profile for the HOTAS One, Xbox or PC?
@@tekgamerworld for xbox series X bro.. Do I need to create a new profile?? I thought it's plug and play??
Strange, all I had to do was plug it in and the defaults were all good except afterburner and reverse thrust.
You have the switch on it set to Xbox right?
@@tekgamerworld I think it has something to do with mfs2020, because I just played Star Wars Squadrons and it was like plug and play.. but for some reason it doesn't work on mfs2020, I need to remap the buttons first one by one😭😭😭
Btw thnx for replying!!
Do you know how to look around using the hat or some other button with the x box?
By default the hat will look forward, left, right, back.
Are you looking for free look?
@@tekgamerworld I just wanna be able to look around the plane when I’m flying
@bigal5860 the hat toggle switch will provide you with the four views, if you want free look go into controls and search for it, and assign it to toggle on whatever button you want, I typically use right stick push on the controller, then you can use the Xbox controller to look around. Then when you push the analog stick again it will go back to default view of straight ahead
I'm about halfway to squirreling enough money away for an Xbox specifically for this game. I plan on getting this stick. So my question is should I wait that bit longer - maybe 4 weeks - and get the stick and system altogether? Or just get the Xbox, play MSFS with a controller and wait on the stick?
Edit - great video, well done and easy to understand
The stick is basically plug and play, you can edit specific controls and functions under settings.
If you have good internet you can play via XBox Cloud using a base Xbox One. It's how i do it and works like a charm.
I recommend getting Game Pass Ultimate
You should get yourself a mouse aswell it makes managing menus and your cockpit easier
This is an excellent point, I should get one for my Xbox….im sure I’ve already got a spare lying around
I have paired it up with thrustmaster Boeing yoke and I use hotas for throttle and ground controls and extra buttons for like air brakes ap management on Xbox series x
Cool setup!
We need more people to let them know that the hotas one does not work on the latest beta update for the Xbox.
Otherwise we will have a hotas one just sitting there we can no longer use.
It’s just like the add ons we can’t use as sim update 9 ruined it for XBOX players
With beta builds that is to be expected, I am sure by the time the general release builds are out there will be updated drivers.
@@tekgamerworld I know but with how the latest releases have gone as it’s still unplayable for most Xbox players with and without the beta, I am guessing the Hotas one will no longer function on the sim update 10 release until enough people report it as a issue. The V1 has now been logged but not the Hotas.
I tried to use this joystick on cloud gaming Xbox and it doesn't recognise it what do I do? Is it because I'm on first gen console?
Try cloud gaming through the Google Chrome web browser, it works for me with the T.Flight HOTAS One flight stick.
@@tekgamerworld ok I will try, thanks. I'll tell you how it goes.
I will also make a video on how to use the T.Flight HOTAS One with Xbox Cloud Gaming…stay tuned

@@tekgamerworld ok so I tried what you said but I got stuck on the loading screen were it's says to click a button to continue. It doesn't want to register, I went on my Microsoft edge and searched Xbox cloud gaming loaded in and I could control anything with my controller. I'll just wait for your video I guess.
Hmmm, how to apply the rudders with only a stick?
I'm thinking of buying the whole set, is it worth it?
Also... can I use the trim with the stick too?
I'm tired of doing the co pilot thing where the co pilot can't fly helicopters.....
You can twist the stick to use rudders
@@DBoone123 Or a rocker switch on the throttle.
Would this stick also work with flying the Helicopters ?
Yes, I am very excited for the helicopters release. Use the stick to fly the Volocity Volocopter, that same principal will apply to helicopters
Olá, da para jogar Star Citzen com este joystick?
Creo que el único joystick de vuelo Thrustmaster compatible con Star Citizen en PC es el HOTAS X.
how does it work with big commerical planes?
Works fine, very responsive with large planes, make sure you bind throttle reverse to a button
excellent
I read somewhere that this joystick doesn’t work in flight sim for the free flight mode… is that the case or does it work in free flight mode? I appreciate the help, thanks!
I’ve heard that as well, but to date I’ve had zero issues with the T.Flight HOTAS One with any flight sim updates. My game is fully patched with latest general release patches.
@@tekgamerworld does it work for xbox one ? i play msfs2020 cloud gaming on xbox one
Yes, it works fine on Xbox One
@@tekgamerworld ok thanks !
@@justmsk6669 I bought the joy stick for my Xbox series X for cloud gaming and it doesn't recognise it. I think because I'm playing cloud gaming I don't know what to do now, you can't even play the full game in my Xbox so I'm stuffed.
Hey ! How do you lubricate it? Because my joystick *squeaks* or *cracks* It's very annoying in game
So you could use plastic safe grease on the pivot points inside, but you’d have to take it all apart, and would void any warranty if any. I’d honestly advise against it, unless you know what your doing.
@@tekgamerworld I tried that, with silicone grease but it doesn't work for this boy. So my question is, do you know a good grease for this joystick?
DuPont Silicone Teflon lube is generally safe for plastic. I am noting again I make no expressed recommendation here on whether to do this or not, it’s at your own risk.
PLSSS TELL ME YOU KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS. will it work with aeroflyfs 2. My computers potatoes and can't run Microsoft flight sim. But I'm looking for joysticks for aeroflyfs 2
So most flight sticks work with games as long as it is supported by Windows, I’d give it a shot and see how it works
@@tekgamerworld oke thankyou
Which is the autopilot bottom on this joystick?
You can bind the function to any button though the game settings.
Not sure how you got 1500 hours out of this flight stick I have gone through five of these things, had to keep returning them couldn’t even get me 2 weeks of playing ace combat 7 on Xbox one just stopped replacing the didn’t seem worth it kept getting really bad drift and would not register stick movement consistently or at all sometimes issues with all of them was really disappointing.
That’s surprising to hear you had so many issues with the Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS One.
There have been known issues with quality control and stick drift.
Could you elaborate further on the problems that occurred that made you go through five of them? Even by statical standards having issues with five of them seems outside the norms
Hi. Is it easy to map on the xbox series x?
Hi, yes it is, when you plug it in, it creates a new profile in MSFS.
Good evening sir, may I know what is the specs of ur rig?

The hat button will provide you different fields of view in default configs
on the throttle theres a 2 buttons and the one below it you press then move the joystick around

YES
Does it work in Microsoft flight sim because I got told it didn’t

Gonna get one soon
Awesome, make sure you comment back and let me know what you think of it!
When you are yanking it to do tight maneuvers in a jet, does it lift off the table or slide? I am looking to purchase one.
yes
It’s a force of habit from years of playing fighter plane simulators, the HOTAS one doesn’t lift or slide
Does it work with Android? In real flight simulator???
@@tekgamerworld real flight simulator for android.... Does it work in this app? You please download it into you android phone and check and then reply me please 🙏
No, the Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS One will not work with Real Flight Simulator. the flight stick is not supported on any mobile OS.
This wasn't a review at all
Lmao.. seriously tho
Nice
Thank you, hopefully you enjoyed the video!
Using the stick with a game like MSFS, I'm sure itll last for quite a while... Youll barely use the buttons and all the movements are slow. Using with a game like star wars squadrons where you have to constantly press buttons repeatedly, this joystick wihile crap out in about a year.
I use it all the time in Star Wars on my Xbox…no issues with it
Had two of them that began to drift within months after purchasing them. It was great until the drifting started.
I’ve heard a few others say the Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS One has drift issues, but I’ve never seen it happen.
My Hotas isn’t showing up in MSFS control options after being plugged in?
What HOTAS model? Xbox or PC?
If there is a switch on the flight stick make sure it is set for the correct system.

What's the purpose of this game no fighting you are just flying and doing nothing isn't that boring I have same setup but I play ace combat 7 on my xbox is this game really that good should I download it
Microsoft Flight Simulator is a real to life flight simulator. If you want a combat simulator check out War Thunder or Ace Combat
The purpose is to just fly. I used to think it was boring too, but now i’m more into chilling it turned into one of my favorite games. It’s ok to not have end goal or big action in games, there is a public for everything. And maybe one day you might end up enjoying those types of game too.
