    That was really lovely! They were so beautiful...especially Lynne Frederick she had a quality about her which is rare.

    Love those early 70s styles! All four girls are gorgeous, but didn't really look like the real Grand Duchesses (who were gorgeous as well). So sad how Lynne's life would turn out. She really was lovely.

    Such beautiful, slender, pretty girls....only shuddering that this is 40 years ago and now they are all 60 or so.

    one of the daughters in this also played the middle daughter in Fiddler on the Roof the other girl playing Anastatia was cast as well as a daughter in the Sound of Music movie

    If a film were being made about the Russian Revolution nowadays there's a good chance Anna Popplewell of Narnia fame would play one of the Grand Duchesses.

    The only daughter I was unhappy with was Olga. The actress was no where near as beautiful as the real Olga and had an oldish librarian look to her.
    The actress playing Maria has big blue eyes like the real Maria did.

      LyricalXilence I disagree. I think Ania Marson was extremely beautiful. In fact she reminded me of Audrey Hepburn
