Can't believe you never had your thyroid check. I went to the GP for depression and they did a blood screen of everything from vitamin D to celiac disease, just to see. I was also hypo but after 5 years they eased me off the meds because it kinda figured itself out.

I am a thyroid issue sufferer and after I found out about this I was told by a dietician that with my thyroid in the state it was in, I would never have been able to fall pregnant. I am so glad they found the reason. Congrats to you, Alex ans Millie xxx

The info about the thyroid is interesting. My wife and I tried for seven years. In the end, it was found she had a low level of a hormone. One shot and a leer and she was pregnant. Congratulations again. You two will do fine.
The total Irish content sounds cool. I am glad you will be posting subtitles for us. Congratulations on the baby! The doctors didn't catch my Thyroid problem till I changed doctors and the new doctor quickly noticed my throat was swollen clear out to my chin. She was convinced the test would come back as hypothyroidism. It is ridiculous how doctors refuse to check that. I had been begging doctors for years to check it.

I just saw a short the other day of a dog, a young lab, who would not go for a walk without her human mum. Once her mum had the baby, she is upset if the baby goes for a walk without her. Now it is the baby she will not leave
Yes. Animals are amazing. I introduced my baby to my dog. I let her sniff him and look at him and she became his life long friend . She died when she was 15. Animals are wonderful but damn it, they are heart breakers.

First of all, congratulations! And welcome to the “My thyroid doesn’t work” club! We’re all a little cold here. I’ve been a member since 1996. I highly recommend asking to be tested for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. It’s an autoimmune disorder and the most common cause of hypothyroidism. I don’t think it would change your treatment at all, but would definitely give you an important piece of information. I have Hashimoto’s, as do my mom, two of my sisters, my aunt, and both of my grandmothers did. It definitely runs in families and affects almost exclusively women, so it could be helpful information for your family too.

Clare, I had been having issues for years before my thyroid was checked and found to be the source. I had almost every symptom too. What a difference the medication makes! I'm glad they figured out what was going on.
Congratulations! Pregnacy is fun, weird & exciting. I loved it when my babies kicked.
I also have a thyroid disorder. Mine is autoimmune (Hashimoto's Thyroiditis). Medication may need to be adjusted after you have the baby. Generally, my thyroid levels are checked once a year unless my medication is adjusted, and then it's checked every 3 months. It does take 3 months for your body to adjust to your dose.
This is the first video I have seen of you since the TRY channel! Don't know exactly how I fell into this feed. Who knew you had so many channels?! What a culture shock for me. Who knew you had another life except for trying different food, drink, and hot things? Congratulations to you and your family. Congratulations! My mom had a gap like that between her second and third kid, though hers worked itself out at about 2 1/2 years. She went on to have eight more.

Holy Shite, very exciting news! I swear every UTube family I watch the women is knocked up. My thyroid was radiated after YEARS of undiagnosed issues. I’ve been on meds now over 20 years and I remember knowing something was wrong but no doctor listened to me. Congrats to you & Alex!
If you are up for sharing (and its ok if you are not), the pregnancy journey is, in addition to its other pluses, great fodder for content. Glad to see you two happy (yes, he DOES look happy!).

I'm rewatching this video, and just wanted to share that during my pregnancy, I had lots of pains around the halfway mark and afterwards it actually got better!! I was so depressed around 20 weeks thinking how can my bump feel so heavy when it is still small?! Im not saying the third trimester was easy but that symptoms can evolve throughout the pregnancy ❤ Taking it day by day was my motto.

Congrats!!! He looks very nervous and so's yer man. As he should be. Big changes coming! Buckle up! As a father of twin 6 year olds. The first couple years are hell. Not gonna lie to ya's. But its punctuated with some of the most heart melting, mind altering love and beauty imaginable. It's worth all the poop, puke and crying. This is Simply OUTSTANDING!! I'm soooo happy for you & Alex! It took my wife & I 8 years to get pregnant. And like you, they never tested her thyroid. But for her, it was also because we found out that she has Celiac disease. Both can cause infertility. Once she got on the thyroid med and started eating a gluten free diet, she got pregnant. Our daughter will be turning 14 next month. I hope you have an easy pregnancy and I'm sure all of us can't wait to see you with your little bundle of Joy! Go Raibh Maith Agat!
