Best wishes in the coming weeks and months. It will be exhausting at first, but you will get thru it. (my secret/tip is to find someone who stays up late at night or gets up really early and have them come stay once or twice. They take care of the baby while you sleep. Even if that only happens once a month it will help immensely!) Please let us know once the baby arrives safely. We don't need to see his/her face. Just want to know you are all okay.

I said the same .. Until number 3 came along. Then I made sure I was really done and he was the last one! That was ten years ago and I don't regret my decision to be done, although I do miss the pre-6 years old stages.

Congratulations!! So excited for you!!
1. Breathe through your mouth 2. Don't hold the baby over your face they will throw up in your mouth 3. Baby is just goin to cry sometimes. Make a check list of all the things that could possibly make her cry; feed? clean? temp? etc and if it's all been covered and baby is still cryin, walk away. Fold a load of wash. Run a vacuum. Sit and listen to a couple tracks. By the time you're done either baby will have sorted themselves or you'll figure something else out. Walk away, breathe, breathe again, and readdress. Baby is just going to want to cry sometimes. Possibly the best advice I ever got.

My mother was 39 and my dad was 44. Despite having 3 other siblings from 2-7 yrs older I took care of my dad for the last 10 years of his life (85) and my mother (89) last 5 years off. You will be great parents. Your kid or kids will be amazing. May you and all your family be healthy, safe, and happy

Thank you so much! I have been using BedHead “Curls Rock Amplifier” cream. I find it works best when my hair is up and I just twirl the hair around my fingers with a bit of the cream. It can be used on dry hair too which is handy!

When I thought I could straighten and defrizz mine with keratin (ha!), I just missed out on Good Behavior's defrizz spray. It does an amazing job. But since I'm usually trying to let my curls go, I'm still stuck with frizz. I'll try that!

Oh We had a dog when I had my son and people suggested that I walk into the house without carrying the baby, so the dog wouldn't be jealous, then slowly let the pooch sniff the baba. Our dog was a female and she was 2nd mommy to him. she was really amazing. Congrats to you and Alex! Can't wait to hear what ya have! 👶🍼👩🍼

Aww, so close! Congrats! The first couple months might feel like an eternity of sleepless nights but trust me, they fly by. And one day you’ll look back and wonder how it is already passed… my youngest son turns 11 on August 5! I miss those days! My boys are 31, 20, 17 and 10… and I look at them and just think… how?? 😢❤

It's terrifying, but with the help of nurses and all other medical staff then you will do fine. If deciding the c-section route then make sure to take short walks after the first day of the operation and keep up with the medication to lessen the pain. You're going to want to catch sleep whenever the newborn goes for it (I was lucky if my son slept for 30 minutes.) Colic may be a thing that can become severe enough for the baby to cry for at least an hour (also been there.) Take turns feeding and changing. Remember to shower because it'll feel like you can't. Most of all, make sure to breathe. The newborn stage is not for the weak.

Aw Claire 🙈I know this feeling. I’ve a 16 month old and the last few weeks of pregnancy are tough out. I’ve been there not so long ago. You’re on the home run gal! xxx Woman to woman, and you’ve prob been bombarded with info but Labour as long as you can in the comfort of your home if you’re anywhere close to your hospital of choice. Less pressure on you when you’re admitted and “on the clock”. Don’t let anyone rush you or interfere without a good reason. So long as baby and you are both doing well, go with the flow. Time is your friend. I did things my way. My first baby was born whilst I was lying on a bean bag on my left side. 😂 My second whilst I was standing up leaning against a bed. All went well so long as I stayed in my “bubble” and just focused on one step at a time. Tens machine and gas and air is the business ! I thought I’d be “give me all the drugs” but I was grand. The biggest endurance test of my life though ! Breathing works! Your sports fitness/endurance ability will stand to you trust me. You’ll get to kiss that newborn head soon please God and be able to dress gorgeous bubs up in all things unicorn. ❤ You both will be bloody amazing parents. The baby is so lucky to have such a witty, funny, fab Mum! Mind yourself and glad you taking a much needed break though you will be missed! Accept all help and don’t be afraid to reach out if struggling. Parenthood esp the first few weeks can be a rollercoaster of emotions but all will be well. Food is king so ask family for that instead of baby stuff! X
